The following specification particularly describes the nature of this invention and the manner in which it is to be performed

FIELD OF THE INVENTION:
This invention relates to Holographic Partial Or Full Or Scratchable Labels Having Hidden Security Message Printed With Ultra Violet Activable Ink And The Process Of Manufacturing The Same. The said labels have holographic image on one side or on both the sides. The said labels also have added security features like viewing a hidden security message after removal of top flap film. This message can be printed with ink invisible to normal eye or ink having one color visible changing into another visible shade when viewed under ultra-violet radiation.
Such unique labels provide an end customer with benefits of 'seal of guarantee", protect the value of the brand/franchise and prevent the "Counterfeiters" from deliberate reuse of such labels/decals which otherwise would spoil the image of brand owners and save huge losses occurring to them due to counterfeiting.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PRIOR ART:
Conventional holographic labels consists of thermoplastic film like polyester, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, coated with vacuum deposition of a very thin coat of Aluminium metal to get metallised film. The metallised surface is embossed to get a holographic film. The holographic film is adhesive coated on the non embossed side to get holographic label.
The main object of this invention is to provide labels which cannot be manufactured easily and thus are not available for replacement by any person other than the manufacturers. The labels according to this invention when tampered gives a clear sign visible by naked eye or under ultraviolet radiation to notice the pilferage or in genuineness of the product.
INVENTION:
This invention consists of three types of labels:-
(A) Tamper evident holographic labels printed with ultra-violet visible dual tone ink
and protected with an over-laminating film having write and protect film flap.
(B) Tamper evident holographic labels printed with ultra-violet visible dual tone ink and partially de-metallized to give serial numbers.
(C) Tamper evident "Scratch" holographic labels with dual tone ink and guarantee seal.
All the three labels being described in details as hereunder:-
The concept of adding higher and higher degree of security with increasing additional features like printing with ultra-violet visible dual tone ink, message is readable only after scratching metallised layer making a complex tamper evident system can be achieved by :-
(A) Tamper evident holographic labels printed with ultra-violet visible dual tone ink and protected with an over-laminating film having write and protect film flap. The said label consists of two films having two or more layers of release coat metallisation adhesive coating and laminated one above the other.
The label consists of two thermo plastic films that are rigid polymer to provide a stable backing material for processing and they do not react with the subsequent coats and inks, which are printed on it. The said films can have thickness ranging from 0.012 to 0.1 mm. One of the said films is coated with a release material, using known method and using specific pattern cylinder. The said release material^consists of thermoplastic resin dissolved in suitable solvent. The said release material does not have affinity with the thermoplastic film but has good affinity with adhesive system and hence goes with the adhesive layer when peeled off from the applied substrate leaving behind a message, device, logo or systematic pattern laid.

The release material coated side of the film described above is then subjected to aluminium coating done by the vacuum coating technique, using known method to get metallised film. This metallised film is then embossed on the same side, with specific message, logo, device or pattern to get holographic effect by using known holographic process. The said metallised film is then coated with suitable pressure sensitive rubber based adhesive using known method and dried online using drying tunnel; alternatively a dried adhesive lamina coated separately using similar method and machine referred as "transfer adhesive tape" can be applied to the metallised side of this film. The above adhesive coated film is then slit to desired size and printed on the non metallised side using inks such as regular flexographic inks, ultra-violet activable ink having characteristics that shows one colour with normal light but shows different colour when viewed under ultraviolet radiation.
The second thermoplastic film of suitable thickness coated with clear pressure sensitive adhesive using known method and dried online using drying tunnel, is then laminated to silicone release liner and thereafter slit to suitable size. While printing is being done on the non metallised side, the second adhesive coated thermoplastic film is applied in a specific manner so as to have the film laminated in machine direction while a part of silicone release liner being left intact to produce a flap; then punched to desired size and shape on line so as to give final label of desired shape and size. The label thus produced acts as a security tool in a manner that the labels when peeled off from the applied surface will leave behind a specific patterns which is otherwise not known to others. The label will partly glow under ultra-violet radiation showing a two tone effect and the portion of label just below the flap generated can be used by the manufacturer/ brand owner or his quality control person to sign on and covering the signature by unfurling the flap generated and making it complicated for pilferer to counterfeit.
(B) Tamper evident holographic labels printed with ultra-violet visible dual tone ink and partially de-metallized to give serial numbers thereon.

The label consists of a thermo plastic film that is a rigid polymer to provide a stable backing material for processing and it does not react with the subsequent coats and inks, which are printed on it. The said film can have thickness ranging from 0.012 to 0.1mm. The said film is coated with a release material using known method and using specific pattern cylinder as per the destruction pattern desired. The said release material consists of thermoplastic resin dissolved in suitable solvent. The said release material doesn't have affinity with the thermoplastic film but has good affinity with adhesive system and hence goes with the adhesive layer when peeled off from the applied substrate leaving behind a message, device, logo or systematic pattern laid while applying the same.
The release type material coated film described above is then subjected to aluminium coating done by the vacuum coating technique, using known method . . This aluminium-coated (metallised) film is then embossed on the same side, using holographic master and known machine. This aluminium-coated (metallised) side is then coated with suitable pressure sensitive adhesive using known method and dried online using drying tunnel laminated to release liner; alternatively a dried adhesive lamina coated separately using similar method and machine generally referred as "transfer adhesive tape" can be applied to the aluminised side of this film., The adhesive coated film is men slit to desired size and printed from the non metallised side using inks such as regular flexographic inks, ultra-violet activable ink having characteristics that shows one color with normal light but shows different colour when viewed under ultraviolet radiation.
The said printed adhesive coated film thus produced is then cut to desired shape and size by using known method to get the label. The label thus produced is partially demetallised using high frequency radiation machine to create serial numbers or other features as desired. The label thus produced acts as a security tool in a manner that this labels when peeled off will show partial or total destruction with adhesive transferring partly or fully leaving fractured image message which can not be utilised again leave behind a specific patterns which is other wise not known to others, the label will partly glow under ultra-violet radiation showing a two tone effect and the

serial numbers or other features generated by partial de-metallising making it complicated for pilferer to counterfeit.
(C) Tamper evident "Scratch" holographic labels with dual tone ink and guarantee seal. The said label consists of two films having one as a main label and second laminated from top as write and protect flap.
The label consists of two thermo plastic films that are rigid polymer to provide a stable backing material for processing and they do not react with the subsequent coats and inks, which are printed on it. The said film can have thickness ranging from 0.012 to 0.1 mm. One of the film is coated with a release material using known method. . The said release material consist of thermoplastic resin dissolved in suitable solvent. The said release doesn't have affinity with the thermoplastic film but has good affinity with adhesives system and hence goes with the adhesive layer when peeled off leaving behind a message, device, logo or systematic pattern laid while applying the same. The release material coated film described above is then subjected to aluminium coating done by vacuum coating technique, using known method. . The said aluminium-coated film is then embossed with specific message, logo, device or pattern or combination thereof on the same side, using holographic master and known machine. The polyester side of this film is then printed and coated with suitable pressure sensitive adhesive using known method and dried online using drying tunnel and laminated to release liner; alternatively a dried adhesive lamina coated separately using similar method and machine generally referred as "transfer adhesive tape" can be applied to the non-aluminized side of the film. The above adhesive coated film is then slit to desired size and printed on the aluminised side using inks such as regular flexographic inks, ultra-violet activable ink having characteristics that shows one colour with normal light but shows different colour when viewed under ultraviolet radiation.
The second thermoplastic film of suitable thickness ranging from 0.012 to 0.1 mm. is coated with clear pressure sensitive adhesive using known method and dried on line using drying tunnel is then laminated to silicone release liner and thereafter slit to

suitable size and applied to label construction described above while printing is being done and it is also applied in a specific manner so as to have the film laminated in machine direction while a part of release liner being left intact to produce a flap; cut to desired size and shape on line so as to give final label of desire shape and size. The label thus produced acts as a security tool in a manner when top layer is peeled off the metallisation also gets partly peeled and the printed message will glow under ultra-violet radiation showing a two tone effect so also the portion of the label just peeled off can be used by the brand owner for his authentication.
