Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to horizontal storage water heater, more particularly, the present invention relates to a multi configurable horizontal storage water heater which can be customized according to user need and place of installation and therebysolve the user’s multiple installation requirements.

Description of the Related Art
A variety of water heaters are available, including storage water heaters, demand water heaters, tankless coil water heaters, indirect water heaters, and solar water heaters. One of the most popular water heater designs is the storage tank water heater. The storage tank water heater stores heated water in a tank. The heated water is provided through an outlet from the tank, and is replaced by unheated water through an inlet to the tank. A control device, typically comprising a thermostat, monitors the water temperature in the tank and activates a heating device to heat the stored water when the stored water falls below a certain temperature.

Current water heaters as shown in Fig 1 are of three types as mentioned below:

1. A simple immersion heating rod, which can be immersed in a water container
This being in open, does not have any safety mechanisms available to the user and therefore rarely used now a days.

2. Instant water heater with a small storage capacity of 1,2 or 3 Liters
This type is with higher capacity heating element like 3000 Watts and has the limitation of storage capacity. When heater is switched on, water in the small tank gets heated up rapidly. Hot water from instant heaters needs to be mixed with cold water to get a comfortable water temperature suitable for taking bath. If the water outlet is kept open heating will be slow. Therefore a trial and error mixing, checking of water temperature cycle is to be followed by the user. Safety protections like over temperature cut off is provided by almost all makers today. But time required to get sufficient amount of hot water is more and requires the user’s attention and intervention.

3. Storage water heaters of capacity 10/20/30 /50 or more Liters.
This is commonly used today. Generally are with lower capacity heating element like 1500-2000 Watts. Electrical, mechanical and thermal protection is provided to this type of heaters. Heater needs to be switched on for a long time to get sufficient hot water to take bath is a disadvantage.

Storage water heaters are of two types, vertical or horizontal. Vertical type is mounted vertical on the wall in a bath room or any convenient place which suit the end user requirement. Pipe sockets for inlet and outlet pipes are provided below the water tank as shown in figure.1
Horizontal heater is installed in horizontal manner either on wall or floor. There are different installation requirements for each user depending on the already laid water pipe layout in his/her premise.

Storage water heater uses a tubular heating element to heat water in a tank. Water which is heated inside the tank stores heat energy absorbed from the heating element. As soon as the water reaches a comfortable set temperature, a thermostat switches off the heating element. User can draw hot water through outlet pipe.

There are multiple variations in the wall & floor mounting installations as shown in figure 2a to 2h.To meet this user demand, eight designs are required to be made by heater manufacturers which adds to cost and apparently user would be burdened.User needs to undergo the pain of looking for the right configuration of water heater depending on the installation requirements. Availability of the right model becomes an issue causing delay. Therefore, to meet these customer installation needs, a water heater with universal mounting suitable for floor or wall mount and pipe connections of any common type as above, is proposed.

In a prior art document, patent application no..CN1398337A, a water heater heat exchanger is described. The patent refers to the field of 'fluid heaters'. A water jacker assembly for an instantaneous gas fired water heater, the assembly including pressed profiled plates made of copper or copper coated steel, one plate being the inverted image of the other, said plates being placed together in pairs, the pairs of plates being arranged in a parallel array to form a heat exchanger, the heat exchanger being bordered by a water jacket comprising overlapping side and end panels of copper or copper coated steel attached to the array of plates, the assembly being fused together to define a combustion chamber with discrete combusted gases and water passages within said assembly.
This document refers to a method of heating fluid with its constructional aspects but basic issue of suitability for multiple installation is un-addressed.

Another patent application no. CN105546810A describes a water heater having an electronic device attached between the cold-water pipe and hot water pipe. Focus of this invention is to achieve optimisation of energy consumption and energy saving.
This also does not solve the user’s multiple installation requirements.
