Abstract: This hot-rolled steel sheet has a prescribed chemical composition, and has a metallographic structure such that: the ferrite content is less than 15.0% and the retained austenite content is less than 3% in terms of the area percentage; the ratio L52/L7 of the length L52 of grains having a crystal orientation difference of 52° relative to the <110> orientation and the length L7 of grains having a crystal orientation difference of 7° relative to the <110> orientation is 0.10-0.18; the standard deviation in the Mn concentration is 0.60 mass% or less; and the tensile strength is 980 MPa or greater.
