5. FIELD OF INVENTION:
The present invention relates to collection and synchronization of digital data, printed characters, images or patterns like finger prints, retina etc related to people residing at all the hotels and lodges in a city through a web portal using data processing equipment comprising a central processing unit, provided to each hotel and making this data available to various agencies like The Police Department, FRRO, Immigration etc with customized software modules for each one of them. This data in turn can be used for security checks, false identity etc.

6. USE OF INVENTION:
The invention helps reduce the time being taken for the concerned agencies like the Police Department, FRRO etc for collecting the client information by making the whole thing feasible online. The hotels will upload information of its client online in to the portal provided to them and the Police Department can check the details and whereabouts of each of the clients online without having to go to the hotel and get the list manually.

7. STATE OF ART AND PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED:
Each city has thousands of hotels and lodges and a lot of Police time is wasted in trying to collect the data of the clients of each hotel manually every day. The above mentioned invention will make the whole process online and much more time saving. With thousands of people checking in to Hotels each day, it is practically impossible to cross check each and every person. The above mentioned invention makes this possible. The Police Department usually collects the data at the end of the day and so cross checking will take some more time. But with the help of the above mentioned invention, identities can be cross checked on the wire and the criminals can be identified in a very short time.

8. OBJECT OF THE INVENTION:
It has already been proposed that the principal object of the invention is to reduce the time being taken for the concerned agencies like the Police Department, FRRO etc for collecting the client information by making the whole thing feasible online. Another object of the invention is to make the hotels upload information of its client online in to the portal provided to them so that the Police Department and other agencies can check each of the clients online without having to go to the hotel and get the list manually.

9. STATEMENT OF THE INVENTION:
Accordingly the invention provides a Hotel Customer Information Tracking System which consists of two portals based on web technology, data processing equipment, a central processing unit which synchronizes data and retrieves it in a user friendly manner. There is also provided a process of Hotel Customer Tracking System which includes synchronization of customer digital data, printed characters, images or patterns like finger prints using data processing equipment.

10. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION:
Hotel Customer information tracking system is a holistic and web technology based system with its object code written in Dotnet Framework and has two portals as mentioned below:

i) Hotel management portal
ii) Hotel intelligence information portal
These two dynamic portals interact with a Hotel Information Database RDBMS
(Relational Database Management System). The functioning of theses two portals is as
follows:
i) Hotel Management Portal: The Hotel Management Portal or module has two
applications which are
a) Hotel Management System and
b) Hotel management Value Added services.
a) Hotel Management System : It helps in management of reservation of hotels or
guest houses.
This module contains features as specified below:

1. Register Hotel profile in portal and room Configuration and setup users and granting permissions

2. Adding a Booking or Reservation like Customer's Information, Check In's Information, Room's Information and Viewing Bookings

3. Check Out and View Customer Information and details.

4. Reports like Check In Report, Booking Report, Check Out Report and other reports and detail data about customer
This Hotel management system can be integrated with biometric devices and biometric based enrollment and verification systems like finger print based or IRIS based or Facial Based.This system can have Passport, other ID, Photo, Biometric information about guest and guest movement in hotel.
b) Hotel management Value Added services:

Hotel Management Value added services help Hotel or Guest House with specified features below
1. Online booking / reservation services using web services
2. SMS based information providing service to Guests
3. SMS based alerts to guests
4. Online payments
5. Helping hotels and guests by providing travel information through email etc
These are services hotel management can utilize to provide better service to their guests.

This module has three dynamic applications which are as follows:
a) Police Information System
b) FRRO Information System
c) Tourism Information System

This module of the application is intended to provide information of the guests and foreign guests and their movements to the relevant police station, and providing intelligence reports to the police department higher officials

1. Foreign guests information report including passport details and visa details.
2. Depends on various parameters police can access the database and get the other tracing intelligence reports needed.

b) FRRO Information System
This module of the application is intended to provide information of the foreign guests and their movements to the FRRS department, and providing intelligence reports to the FRRO department higher officials.

Work Flow Process of the Hotel Customer Information Tracking System
The work flow process of the Hotel Customer Information Tracking System is carried out in three different environments and location involves the following three Servers':
a) Database Server Where Whole Hotel Data Stored:
This is the RDBMS database server where all the information of the client and all hotels in a given region or state is stored for retrieval, Usage and monitoring by both the Hotel Management System and the Police Management System.
b) Web Server & Application Server Where HMS portal runs:
This server is connected to the main RDBMS server through web or internet. This server is accessible to the users of the hotel where in they input the data of the clients which is transmitted to the dynamic RDBMS Server as and when it is connected to the web or intemet.
c) Web Server & Application Server Where Police, FRRS, Tourism portal
runs:
This server helps Police and other Agencies like FRRS, Tourism etc to retrieve Information on clients and people from the RDBMS server to monitor the city or State efficiently against any threat.
Hotel Management System Environment and process of work flow:
The Process of work flow in the Hotel management System is as follows:
i) The Local Server is used for application and synchronizing Database, and this server
is connected to Work Stations and provides offline mode Access to the database, ii) The Hotel Workstation Computers are connected to Local Server through LAN iii) Global Application Server which is connected by all the Hotels Local servers and
workstations through intemet.
Fingerprint Device
Fingerprint scanners are used which are biometric devices that capture an image of a fingerprint for identification and verification. The fingerprint is one of the most widely used physical characteristics in biometric identification. Biometric identification is used to verify the identity of a person.
Fingerprint Device with Computer
Biometric finger print scanner can connect to any desktop computer or notebook computer. We can utilize the fingerprint image and template given by fingerprint scanner in any of our customized computer based applications.

Hotel Management Work Station
Hotel Management application can access fingerprint scanner, get fingerprint image and template, the application can store the fingerprint data in any Relational Database for further verification and identification of a person.
LAN Based Two Tire Client / Server System
A LAN based two tire client/server system contain a full-fledged Server Computer that is where Hotel Management Application and RDBMS Resides. And we can have multiple Workstation Computers those are connected with Server in a LAN environment. Client Computer is the system where our Hotel Management Application Runs. Fingerprint Scanner, Web Camera and printer like external devices are connected to the Workstation Computer,
Hotel Management Application is responsible for Enrollment of a person including biometric data, verification of the person with biometric data who is Check in. the system generate reports those are required. This application is responsible to communicate with fingerprint scanner, web camera, printer. Local RDBMS and Remote RDBMS.
The Application Server Runs at the Local Server System will be responsible for updating data to the remote global server.This updating of data to remote global server can be done in two ways
1. Online process
2. Batch process
If the local environment is connected online it works with online process, At this movement the system stores data in local database server and also remote global database server.
When the local environment is not connected online it works offline and it will update the data to remote global database server based on batch process, it will update all pending entries to remote global server as soon as the environment is connected online.
Hotel Management Value Added Services Center Environment and Work Flow:
Local Server for Application and Database, is connected to Work Stations for Offline Access. Value Added Services Workstation Computers are connected to Local Server

through LAN. Global Application Server which is connect by all Value Added Services Local servers and workstations through internet.
Police Information System Environment and Work Flow:
Police Information System Workstation Computers are connected to Portal to Server through internet. Global Application Server which is coimect by all Police Information System workstations through internet
Police Information System Module is mainly intended to generate needed reports like tracking guests, foreign guests, and their movements by accessing data from remote global database. It also capable of searching the guest's data based on biometric finger print that is captured at that time. And ttiis module can get the reports based on varies parameters including biometric fingerprint.
FRRO Information System Environment and Worlc Flow:
FRRO Workstation Computers connected to Portal to Server through internet. Global Application Server which is connect by all FRRO workstations through internet
Tourism Information System Environment:
Tourism Workstation Computers connected to Portal to Server through internet. Global Application Server which is connect by all Tourism workstations through internet.
Working Example of the invention:
Accordingly, whenever a person walks in to a hotel for a room, the concerned authority at the hotel will click the person's photograph and scan the identity provided (Passport, Pan card etc) and upload them in the online form provided for that hotel along with all other details like the name, profession, company working for, purpose of visiting etc. The authorities at the hotel will also collect the bio-metric information of the client through a finger print scanning machinery and a retina scanning machinery and these details will also be stored in the database.
The Police Department, which usually sends someone to manually collect the data of all the clients of each day and verifies the list at the Police Station, will now have an online interface, which can be accessed by a usemame and password. After entering the usemame and password, the web portal will give access to all the list of hotels in their territory and the list of clients staying in each hotel. The Police Department can now

access each client's data and cross check it with their photo identity uploaded along with the details. They can also cross check it with their criminal data base in case of doubt.
Clients who come from abroad and stay in hotels will also have to apply for C-Form, which usually is consuming a lot of time. This invention will make it possible to apply for C-Form online and the whole process will be completed much faster.
With the information like Passport number and their expiry date online. Immigration Department can keep a check on the list passport expiry cases, and try to catch them before hand as all the information of where they are staying is available online through the portal given to them.
In case of a foreigner coming in with false identities or multiple identities, he/she can be identified as the invention will be having the biometric information of the person which cannot change and when this information matches with multiple identifications, then the concerned authorities will be alerted and the particular person can immediately be tracked and caught.

I Claim:

1. A Hotel Customer Information Tracking System which comprises of
two portals based on web technology, data processing equipment, a
central processing unit.

2. A system as claimed in claim 1, which consists essentially of two
portals which includes a Hotel Management Portal and Hotel
Intelligence Portal.

3. The Portal of Hotel Management as claimed in claim 2, has two
applications of Hotel management System and Hotel Management
Value Added Services.

4. The Hotel Intelligence Portal as claimed in claim 2, has three
applications comprising of Police Information System, FRRO
Information System and Tourism Information System.

5. The Hotel Customer Information Tracking System as claimed in
Claim 1, with its two portals interacts with a dynamic Hotel
Information Database (Relational Database Management System).

6. The object code of the Hotel Customer Information Tracking System
as claimed in Claim 1, is written in Dotnet Framework 2.0 and above.
