Abstract: Hotel staff scheduling system by using artificial intelligence technology is disclosed comprising of mobile application, backend server and any electronic device with active internet connection. Hotel management schedules every employee work for coming week and it will be continuing for rest of period. If there is any change or modification in work scheduling then hotel authority can change/modify it. The hotel staff can see the work schedule on mobile application installed on their mobile with their individual login. For any vacation, staff should be request for it before going to be absent on application, which helps hotel authority to manage scheduling of work in the absence of any staff member. The system sends alert message to staff who has immediate work schedule.

, Description:Field of the invention:
The present invention is related generally to the hospitality sector, and more particularly to the staff scheduling system for hotel using artificial intelligence technology.
Background of the invention:
Staff scheduling is the process of establishing the schedules of hourly workers to meet the current and future demands in a workplace, such as restaurant, a hospital, or a retail store. It also involves defining schedules so that the transition from one shift to the other is seamless and work remains uninterrupted.
In any industry which relies on hourly workers, workforce scheduling forms the foundation of smooth business functioning. And this scheduling needs to be efficient to take care of last-minute changes such as delays in reporting for the job and sudden leave of absence, among other things. But with scheduling automation on the rise and the growth in the number of apps available to manage scheduling large workforces, workforce scheduling can be made simpler.
Hotel management includes a wide range of topics concerned with the operational aspects of Hoteliery. Hotel manager is the person who coordinate the many operational tasks of running a successful hotel. Managing a hotel requires knowledge and skills within a wide variety of fields.
Scheduling hotel employees helps hotel owner in managing compensation and payroll. Schedules are a way of logging the number of hours an employee works and they are compensated based on the number hours logged within a pay period. Schedules are also a way of ensuring hotel employees receive fair pay and access to overtime.
There are a few systems having telemedicine inventions, which are patented, are listed below.
US patent application US7523046B2 by Marco S. Colalancia, Jon S. Miller discloses Communication system for managing hotel operations. A system and method are provided for managing hotel operations through a wireless communications network. A central computer includes software for organizing and prioritizing data regarding desired room usage based upon input from arriving hotel guests. The data is organized into shift orders which take into account particular hotel guests needs. The shift orders are transmitted wirelessly to mobile units in the hotel mounted to housekeeping carts. Housekeeping personnel respond to tasks or orders which appear on the screens of the mobile units. The mobile units are also used to wirelessly transmit back to the central computer the status of the work being completed, as well as to advise the central computer as to changing conditions encountered by the housekeeping personnel. The central computer continually updates shift orders, prioritizes assignments to the particular mobile units, and therefore enhances communications directly between the needs of the guests and housekeeping personnel.
Chinses patent application CN106845742A discloses Hotel integrated management system. Passenger's sequence information of the typing for being used to receive user by passenger's client the invention discloses hotel integrated management system OTA servers, and passenger's sequence information is sent to hotel high in the clouds;Database of hotels service end is the storage end of data produced by the client of hotel, to hotel high in the clouds synchronization room availability information, and passenger's real time orders information of OTA is obtained from hotel high in the clouds, and passenger information and room information are sent into security administration end;Hotel client recognizes identity card or member by public security bureau's identity card scan module or membership's identification module, or passenger's sequence information that displaying OTA servers are sent, demand according to passenger in database of hotels service end in can the room of reservation state screen, and passenger information is stored in database of hotels service end;The passenger information and room information that automatic card module is exported according to hotel client automatically generate the badge in corresponding room to passenger;Document print module chooses whether output printing document according to user's.
Though the prior art patents disclose Communication system for managing hotel operations and Hotel integrated management system, they do not give any perfect solution for hotel staff scheduling system.

Object of the invention:
The primary object of the present invention is to provide hotel staff scheduling system by using artificial intelligence technology.
Another object of the present invention is to provide hotel staff scheduling system which set schedule of the employee.
Another object of the present invention is to provide hotel staff scheduling system where employee request for vacation.
Another object of the present invention is to provide hotel staff scheduling system where employee can check their next schedule.
Another object of the present invention is to provide hotel staff scheduling system where employee get alert message for their coming schedule.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is the branch of computer sciences that emphasizes the development of intelligence machines, thinking and working like humans. For example, speech recognition, problem-solving, learning and planning.
The goals of AI research include reasoning, knowledge representation, planning, learning, natural language processing, perception and the ability to move an manipulate objects. General intelligence is among the field’s long-term goals.

Scheduling the work entails establishing the schedule of current hourly workforce to manage the predicted amount of work in any business. Hospital management is one of the sectors which require work scheduling to avoid any last moment call outs. There are various factors which impacts work scheduling in hotel management such as employee availability, employee skills and employee productivity which determine the process of scheduling.
Work scheduling is an integral component of hotel management. It involves considering predicted workloads and then the number of resources needed to complete the work. With dynamic industries such as hotel industry which hire hourly workers, the workload changes frequently which requires an automated scheduling process in place to handle these changes.
Hotel staff scheduling system by using artificial intelligence technology is comprising of the steps are as;
Step 1) Hotel authority install application on backend server
Step 2) Assign every employee with individual login id
Step 3) Hotel authority make work schedule for every employee
Step 4) If there is any change/modification in schedule it will be done by hotel authority only
Step 5) Every employee can see the coming work schedule for their self with login
Step 6) Employee has to apply for vacation on the application
Step 7) Employee get alert message for immediate work schedule for him/her
Here, all data is stored on backend server. Only authorize person from hotel can see and modify the work schedule. Also, it features automatic shift scheduling of staff in every capacity which avoid any favouritism.
There are some advantages of the present invention such as;
Labour forecasting – It offers insights into the number of the workforce required which is based on real-time and historical data on the trends in high-traffic periods and availability of manpower. It uses this data to predict the number of people needed at any given time in a hotel industry. This helps in decision-making for hotel authority, who can then use their time for more strategic work.
It is able to plan months in advance and allow hotel authority to make changes in schedules easily. It also sends automated notifications to employees about changes in shifts or cancellations.
It is also helpful for larger organizations, which is able to help for preparing schedules in advance for multiple locations and offer the same functionality of shift swap and automated notifications about changes.
It can also schedule for particular employee with data which is based on the availability and work patterns of employees.
Time Tracking – It can track the number of hours an employee is putting into the job. Also, can track overtime and better identify situations that result in understaffing or overstaffing. This is essential in case of overtime or non-adherence to shift worker regulations leads to compliance risk.
Shift swapping – It can give employees visibility into their schedules and help them swap with other shift workers should the need arise. So, there is very fewer chances of employees losing pay and fewer chances of absenteeism, due to which work does not suffer.
Customizable Reports – It is helpful in generating the report for staff schedule. By using various filters such as absences per quarter, number of shift swaps by a particular employee in a given week reports can be generated. This can help in better scheduling decisions in the future.

According to real time data and previous data, hotel authority can schedule next work accurately. And due to which customer satisfaction get increases due to adequate hotel staff.
Example 2:
One hotel employee want holiday for some reason. The invention application discloses hotel staff scheduling system is helpful in this case. Hotel employee opens mobile application on smart phone. Login with id in application and request for vacation. Hotel authority by checking scheduling application can grant or deny the vacation leave. This is very helpful for avoiding any last-minute call out.
