Hybrid Hood For A Vehicle
Abstract: This invention Hybrid Bonnet Shell the outer skin part i.e. Bonnet Outer is made of Thermo plastic (PP or Noryl GTX material) depending on the painting process. Inner Bonnet shell is made of conventional sheet metal parts. The Outer Bonnet panel and Assembly Bonnet Inner are assembled together with fasteners. On the periphery, these two parts are pasted with sealant instead of conventional hemming operation. An improved method of joining the inner panel and outer panel of an automobile bonnet comprises: adhesive bonding at the periphery of inner shell and outer panel of an automobile bonnet; stud at other end of inner shell and outer panel of automobile bonnet; the outer panel is made up of plastic material and inner panel made up of sheet metal.
