FIELD OF INVENTION : IDEAL SOFT MEAL "AROLAC"
This Invention of Ideal Soft Meal "AROLAC" pertains to human necessities. More particularly this soft Meal invention relates to food supplements. Further this, Soft Meal "AROLAC" invention relates to novel food supplements using Cassava and Lactobacillus sporogenes as primary raw materials. The composition has synergestic effect. The process of preparing the said composition and the various raw materials used in the composition and a method of manufacturing said composition is described in the complete specification as Ideal Soft Meal "AROLAC".
The nature of the problem of a patient, who is undergoing treatment due to the problems prescribed herein and the need for an effective nutritious food is described in the following complete specification as Ideal Soft Meal "AROLAC"..
It is a known fact that, gastro intestinal symptoms occur not only with primary Gastro Intestinal tract disease but frequently as manifestations of continued doses of antibiotic for systematic diseases as well and the most commonest manifestation of these is alternate diarrhea, dysentery, along with nausea and vomiting as consequence of severe/non-severe metabolic derangement of the system, be it anything for that matter on varied etiology and convalescence (recovery period).
It is a known fact that because of these, an overwhelming dependence is certainly on as Ideal Soft Meal 'AROLAC which could act as adjunct or supportive therapy to the already being prescribed drugs for gastro intestinal diseases.
In order to evaluate the Gastro Intestinal symptoms, a careful review on the various disorders associated with stool inconsistency is focused.

DIARRHOEA AND ASSOCIATED DISTURBANCES OF ANORECTAL FUNCTION
Normal colonic Function:
Each day approximately 800ml of slurry of dietary residue plus unabsorbed intestinal secretions and cellular debris move from the small intestine across the ileocecal valve usually in response to the postprandial reflex stimulation. Little of the nutritional value remains after extensive digestive processing and absorption that has occurred in normal Small Intestine.
The colon then converts the liquid Ileal effluent to solid fecal material which is then advanced to rectum and evacuated.
Thus normal colonic function involves primarily three physiological process.
1. Absorption of fluids and electrolytes in the descending colon.
2. Contraction whereby luminal contents are churned.
3. Transportation to the rectum and evacuation.
FACTORS WHICH TEND TO CAUSE DISTURBANCE IN ANY OF THE ABOVE FEATURES LEADING TO LOOSE STOOLS
1. Excessive out pouring of the fluid from the small intestine in to the colon, exceeding the later re-absorption capacity which occurs in association with viral and bacterial enteritis, various malabsorption diseases of small intestine, large intestine.
2. Ulcerative colitis.
3. Exaggerated postprandial motility due to deranged hormonal / nervous stimuli.
4. Adenoma of rectum / colon.
5. Any irritation to the rectal membrane like in antibiotic therapy.
6. Individual with lactase deficiency.
7. Any nonspecific malabsorption syndrome.

The colon and rectum are extensively innervating sympathetic and parasympathetic systems. It is hence evident that colonic motility plays an important role in both absorption and movements of contents to the rectum and the associated pattern of evacuated stools.
The bowel habit of apparently healthy individual vary widely. For this reason, the term diarrhoea and constipation have little meaning except when viewed as a chance from the individuals customary pattern.
The associated weight loss, anemia, loss of appetite and other changes in the biochemical parameters are hence evidently seen in the respective patients.
OBJECTIVE OF THE PRESENT INVENTION OF IDEAL SOFT MEAL"AROLAC"
If all the above mentioned parameters are clearly putforth with judicious justification, it is worth understanding the importance of a nutrition supplement which in all respects could form an ideal soft food meal "AROLAC" supplement for different category of patients as mentioned with little side effects. Above everything then, if such a product is fortified with supportive ingredients enabling to supplement adequate vitamins also, then needless to say that, the product so justified, should be a REMARKABLE NUTRITIONAL SUPPLEMENT from all view points thus creating a bench mark in the field of Nutritional Therapy for the disorders aforementioned, which ultimately and authentically justifies the product, as Ideal Soft Meal 'AROLAC".
It is the primary object of the invention to invent a novel nutritious supplement having extensive utility, as Ideal Soft Meal "AROLAC".
It is another object of the invention to invent a process of manufacturing nutritional supplement, which is easily digestible. Hence christened as Ideal Soft Meal.

It is another object of the invention to invent a novel nutritious composition, which provide abundant energy.
It is another object of the inventions to invent a novel nutritious composition, which helps in maintaining ecological balance of the intestines.
Further objects of the inventions will be clear from the following description.
Now the invention of Ideal Soft Meal (AROLAC ) will be described in details. The nature of the invention and the manner in which the invention is to be performed is clearly described in the following pages of the description for the complete specification, as Ideal soft Meal which is AROLAC.
Such is the present product "Arolac" which is a combination of cassava plus lactobacillus sporogenes, which is adequately outlined in the following statements.
Cassava, their important constituent and their significance.
Cassava (Manihot esculenta) is a native of South America and has been introduced from there into Africa, India, countries of S.E.Asia and pacific islands.
It is a staple food of the poorer section of the population in many tropical countries, particularly central and south America, Central and West Africa, Indonesia and Polynesian Islands.
The most important commercial use of cassava is the production of sago and starch..

THE CHEMICAL COMPOSITION OF CASSAVA
Analysis of the edible portion of fresh tubers gave the following values:
Moisture - 59.4%
Protein - 0.7%
Fat _ 0.2%
Carbohydrate - 38.7%
Mineral Matter - 1.0%
Calcium - 50%
Phosphorous - 40%
Iron - 0.9%
Thiamine - 0.045%
Nicotinic Acid - 0.3%
Riboflavin - 0.01%
The starch content increases with the growth of tubers reaching a maximum between the 8"1 and 12th months after planting. The starch contains amylose 2%. Invhiodigestion of taka diastase and pancreatic amylase shows 48.3% of the starch present in raw tubers and 77.9% of the starch present in cooked tubers are readily hydrolysed. Other carbohydrates presents in tubers in minor quantities are glucose, fructose, sucrose, dextrins, pentosans and mucilage.
The tuber contains small quantities of albumin, globulin and glutelin. Prolamine is present in negligible amounts. Apart from these are several essential aminoacids like histidine, isoleucine, arginine, theronine, tryptophan and valine in varying amounts.
Cassava proteins are comparable to rice proteins in digestibility.
The tuber is a fair source of calcium and phosphorous and the other constituents present in varying amounts are iodine, sodium, magnesium silica, sulphur and chlorine.

The juice of the fresh tuber contains phosphorylase and Q-enzyme, the former catalyses the formation of amylose from glucose - 1 - phosphate and the later helps in the synthesis of amylopectin from amylose.
This apparently gives the digestive value to cassava which because of its gelatinous nature also has a tendency to harden the loose stools as well.
LACTOBACILLUS SPOROGENES
Lactobacillus sporogenes is a lactic acid producing and sporeforming lactobacillus as the name indicates. They provide plenty of viable spores that are capable of settling down in the intestinal tract and producing much lactic acid at high proliferating rate to offer maximum therapeutic efficacy.
THE BENEFIT OF USING THE SAID 'IDEAL SOFT MEAL* AROLAC IS DESCRIBED IN THE FOLLOWING PARAGRAPH.
1. Excellent preservability.
2. High proliferating ability in the intestinal tract
3. Excellent intestinal conditioning
4. Prevention of disturbed ecological balance
5. Practically no side effects.
6. Resistant to heating at 40°c and relative humidity of 80% for three months and to storing on an agar slant at room temperature for not less than 2 years.
7. The spores given orally, germinate in the intestinal tract, in about 30 minutes and reproduce by fission thereby multiplying and producing the necessary vitamins in the system
Normally Flora plays an important role in body's natural synthetic mechanism. They are responsible for synthesis of B-Complex factors, Vitamin K and many digestive enzymes which aid in the digestion of carbohydrate, fat and protein

foods and absorption of nutrients by intestinal villi. They prevent or interfere with colonization / invasion of the body by pathogens and raise the overall immune state of the host against pathogens by maintaining intestinal medium at acidic pH of 4 to 4.5. Lactobacilli predominantly form a major part of Normal Commensal Flora of intestines.
Arolac thoroughly fulfills the objective of placing the product as a justifiable nutritional supplement as ideal soft meal because of the following salient
features.
♦ Arolac is hence an ideal nutritional supplement for those on restricted diet during diarrhoea, dysentery, dysuria and irritable colon syndrome. Fortified with lactobacillus every 15 grams of arolac provides 53.0 Calories.
♦ Provides the energy 1480 kilo joules/lOOG or 353.56 calories/ 100G.
♦ The natural amylopectin helps stop diarrhoea faster.
♦ The lactobacillus present in Arolac helps in maintaining the ecological balance of the gastrointestinal tract, thus allowing the normal saprophytic flora to remain unchanged.
Therefore, natural synthesis of B complex factors is allowed to take place because of which it is a perfect product for the indications like - abnormal intestinal fermentation, at the time of weaning, intestinal conditioning during and after antibiotic and chemotherapeutic treatment, aphthous stomatitis and glossitis, constipation, hepatic pre-coma and coma.
