Abstract: Provided is an image display device including a high frame rate signal generating unit that increases a frame rate of an input video signal, a frame rate adjusting unit that adjusts a frame rate by synthesizing a black image at intervals of a predetermined frame on a high frame rate signal output from the high frame rate signal generating unit, and a display panel that displays a video based on a video signal output from the frame rate adjusting unit.
