Image Processing Device And Method

Abstract: The present disclosures pertain to an image processing device and method that enable a reduction in the amount of coding during encoding and decoding. A type setting unit uses post deblocking pixel values to in LCU units set the type of a filter that is common to Y Cb and Cr components and supplies the result to a syntax write unit. An offset setting unit uses the post deblocking pixel values to set an offset that is independent for each of the Y Cb and Cr components in LCU units. An SAO control information setting unit supplies to the syntax write unit an offset or a merge flag that is set having referred to the offset from the offset setting unit. The present disclosures can for example be applied to an image processing device.
