3. PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION
The following specification particularly describes the invention and the manner in which it is to be performed:

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
This invention relates generally to an arrangement for performance analysis and more particularly to an improved arrangement for use in circuit breakers providing accurate data for performance of a system.
BACKGROUND AND THE PRIOR ART
Conventional test methods commonly detect failures such as knob damage, no continuity across poles, etc. But failures like contact bouncing, contact momentarily closing, instant tripping, delatching are not detectable. Further when circuit breaker is put on endurance test then on failures the counter reading gets increment as it is bound to get a pulse leading to conclude wrong data for the performance of device under test. With this the end user will never be able to track the number of times the failure has occurred. Figure 1 shows the conventional test methods for mechanical endurance test.
Thus, there is a need to overcome the problems of the prior art. The present invention therefore provides an improved system for tracking failure in delatch mechanisms for use in circuit breakers that would provide accurate data for testing the performance of system.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
A basic object of the present invention is to overcome the disadvantages/drawbacks of the known art.
Another object of the present invention is to provide an improved system for tracking failure in delatch mechanisms for use in circuit breakers.

These and other advantages of the present invention win become readily apparent from the following detailed description read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
There is provided an arrangement for performance analysis.
According to one embodiment of the present invention, there is provided an improved arrangement for use in circuit breakers (1) providing accurate data for performance of a system, said arrangement comprising plurality of counters (2) connected in series with poles of a circuit breaker (1); said counter (2) connected to a timer (3) providing a preset delay; wherein said
counters (2) and timer (5) adapted to track failure in a delatch mechanism of said circuit breaker
(1). BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS
In the appended drawings:
Fig. 1 illustrates a conventional setup.
Fig. 2 illustrates an improved system for tracking failure
Fig. 3 illustrates a timing diagram

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS
The following drawings are illustrative of particular examples for enabling methods of the present invention, are descriptive of some of the methods, and are not intended to limit the scope of the invention. The drawings are not to scale (unless so stated) and are intended for use in conjunction with the explanations in the following detailed description.
Reference is first invited to Fig 1 where the conventional setup for performance analysis is shown.
Fig. 2 shows an improved arrangement for use in circuit breakers (1) providing accurate data for performance of a system under test.
Fig. 3 illustrates a timing diagram for performance analysis.
The invented system is thus an improved arrangement for use in circuit breakers providing accurate data for performance of a system under test.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Accordingly in the present invention there is provided an improved system for tracking failure in delatch mechanisms for use in circuit breaker (1). For avoiding the limitations of the conventional setup as shown in figure 1, an additional counter is connected in series with all poles of circuit breaker but with some preset delay using timer (3).
As the contacts get closed timer will get triggered and after set delay its NO/NC contacts will change. At this instant if the circuit breaker contacts are still closed then only counter 2 will get incremented otherwise not as shown in figure 2.

For the circuit diagram as shown in figure 2, the below mentioned conditions are applicable:
1. M>N : Number of failure operations (M-N)
2. M = N : No operations missed / no failure
3. M < N : Condition not possible
The same is applicable for both ON/OFF and ON-TRIP-OFF operations as mentioned in IEC standards. Figure 3 shows timing diagrams.
Case 1: ON - OFF Operation
Lets consider for 100 operations
M=100,N = 95
M - N = 5 times breaker has de latched / failed to close
Case2:UV/ SR Tripping
Lets consider for 100 operations
M=100,N = 98
M - N - 2 times UV/SR not tripped / failed to trip
Although the embodiments herein are described with various specific embodiments, it will be obvious for a person skilled in the art to practice the embodiments herein with modifications. However, all such modifications are deemed to be within the scope of the claims.
It is also to be understood that the following claims are intended to cover all of the generic and specific features of the embodiments described herein and all the statements of the scope of the embodiments which as a matter of language might be said to fall there between.

WE CLAIM
