FIELD OF INVENTION:
The present invention relates to improved cabin structure for pick and
carry mobile hydraulic crane.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:
Cabin structure for pick-and-carry type of mobile hydraulic cranes are
known in the art.
For example in Figure 1 one such existing in the prior art cabin structure
for pick-and-carry type of mobile hydraulic crane is shown.
In the said Figure 1 is shown a slanted perspective view from front
side, of the cabin structure as existing in the prior art. In the known pick-and-
carry type of mobile hydraulic cranes as shown in Figure 1.
The main disadvantage is that the driver's cabin structure is so designed
to limit the seating arrangement such that there is only one seat (1) for the driver
which is located near instrument panel and dashboard console, while helper and
other co-passengers can sit on the side bench (2) behind the driver. With such
arrangements, which are prevalent for such pick-and-carry type of mobile
hydraulic cranes, the driver has to take care of the entire instrument panel and
dashboard console. In case of an unforeseen emergency, the driver side does not
have the benefit of the helper in operating the instrument panel and dashboard

console. Also with these pick-and-carry type mobile hydraulic cranes, the boom
and main frame structure restricts the driver's eyesight towards left hand side.
An additional passenger towards the driver's left hand side can add up to his
vision for better driving and handling of mobile hydraulic crane during on-and-
off road applications.
Another such known pick-and-carry type of mobide hydraulic crance is
shown in . In this Figure 2 is shown a slanted perspective view from rear side,
of the cabin structure as existing in prior art.
Another disadvantage in the existing cabin structure as shown in Figure
2, is that the driver and the co-passengers have to enter and exit only from the
door (3) installed on the rear side of the cabin. It has been a standard practice in
these conventional crane cabin structures that the driver or helper always uses
only the rear door for entry and exit from the cabin.
Another disadvantage of the present cabin structure as shown in Figure
2, is that the windows (2) and (3) provided on both left and right hand sides
respectively can be opened, and are generally at a good height from the ground.
These cranes do not have mudguards over rear tires, which are just below these
windows and in the absence of any foot-rest, it is difficult for the driver or
helper to come out from these windows smoothly on to the ground without the
possibility of a fall. It is because of this reason that the driver or helper may get
injured in case of any emergency exit opted from the windows.

-4-
Yet another disadvantage with these pick-and-carry type hydraulic mobile
cranes as shown in Figure 2, is their clumsy and huge instrument panel (4) and
dashboard console (5), which requires the driver to always monitor and keep an
eye all the time on the instrument panel & dashboard console while operating
the mobile hydraulic crane.
It has, therefore, been long felt need to develop a improved cabin
structure for pick and carry mobile hydraulic crane which removes the
disadvantages mentioned above and is economical, easier, eco-friendly and
cheaper and convenient for driver, helper and co-passengers and thereby
providing safety in case of unforeseen emergency.
Such cabin structure is shown in Figures 3 and 4 cf the present
specification.
We shall now describe the prior art and a few embodiments of the present
invention with reference to accompanying drawings which are given by way of
illustration but does not restrict the scope of present invention.
In the said accompanying Figures:-
Figure 1 shows, schematically, in a slanted perspective view from front
side, of the cabin structure as existing in the prior art.
Figure 2 shows, also in a slanted perspective view from rear side, of the
cabin structure as existing in prior art.

-5-
Figure 3 shows, further in a slanted perspective view from front side, of
the cabin structure as per present invention.
Figure 4 shows, in a slanted perspective view from rear side, of the cabin
structure as per the present invention.
Figure 4 shows, in a slanted perspective view from rear side, of the cabin
structure as per the present invention disclosed. In view of the disadvantages
stated above, the main objective of the present invention is to describe an
improved cabin structure as shown in Figure 4, which provides one additional
door (5) on the left hand side of the cabin, thereby offering better and alternate
passage option to the driver, helper and the co-passengers thereby providing
safety in case of an unforeseen emergency.
According to Figure 3 an improved cabin structure provides an additional
helper seat (2) next to the side of the driver seat (1), so as to assist the driver for
handling of mobile hydraulic crane during on-road and off-road applications.
Yet another objective of the present invention as shown in Figure 4 is to
provide an improved cabin structure with a compact instrument panel (6) and
dashboard console (7) so that more space becomes available in the cabin for
comfortable seating of the driver and helper.

-6-
A further objective of the invention as shown in Figure 4 is to provide an
improved cabin structure which is quite spacious with better and improved
seating arrangement for the driver, helper and the co- passengers. It has got a
better seating capacity for driver and the helper along with a provision of a
comfortable seating bench (4) for accommodating the co-passengers.
Figure 3 shows, in a slanted perspective view from front side, of the cabin
structure as per present invention disclosed. Yet another objective of the
invention as shown in Figure 3 is to provide an improved cabin structure which
has got mudguards (3) fitted along the rear tires, so as to prevent any accidental
injury, or dirt and mud accumulation around tires and cabin structure base.
Another object of the present invention is to provide an improved cabin
structure with excellent all around visibility to the driver and the co-passengers
traveling on road. The cabin structure has got an excellent visibility all around
with the provision of better designed front, rear and side glasses, thereby
making it a convenient and impressive cabin structure from the aesthetics' point
of view also.
Thus, the invention as described above characterizes the improved cabin
structure for pick and carry type hydraulic mobile crane with provision of
mudguards, with an additional door on the left hand side, one additional seat for
helper and a separate bench for accommodating four other co-pas^engers.

-7-
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
At the outset of the description which follows, it is to be understood that
the ensuring description only illustrates a particular form of its invention.
However, such a particular form is only an exemplary embodiment and without
intending to be understood as an exemplary embodiment and teaching of the
invention and not intended to be taken restrictively.
The nature of the invention, its objective and further advantages residing
in the same will be apparent from the following description made with reference
to the non-limiting exemplary embodiment of the invention represented in the
accompanying informal drawing.
Figure 4 shows the improved cabin structure where all the objectives
mentioned above is completely realized. It is an aim of this invention to present
a novel cabin structure, whereby it is possible to provide, one additional door
(5) on left hand side of the cabin, thereby offering better and alternate passage
option to the driver, helper and co-passengers thereby providing safety in case
of an unforeseen emergency. The cabin structure is improved with maximum
all-round visibility, providing spacious and improved seating arrangement for
driver, helper and co- passengers. The improved cabin structure consists of a
compact instrument panel (6) and dashboard console (7). It has got a better and
comfortable seating capacity for driver, helper and co-passengers alike.

-8-
The cabin structure has got an excellent visibility all around with the
provision of better designed front, rear and side glasses, thereby making it an
improved one from aesthetics' point of view. The improved cabin structure as
shown in Figure 3 for pick-and-carry crane type hydraulic mobile crane has got
mudguards (3) fitted along the rear tires so as to prevent any accidental injury,
or dirt and mud accumulation around tires and cabin structure base. With the
improvements made, the cabin structure is spacious enough to accommodate a
driver, one helper and four other co-passengers also within the same overall
space as existing in the prior art cabin structure.
