TITLE OF THE INVENTION
IMPROVED LAMP TUBE UNIT FOR USE IN B22 HOLDER AND THE PROCESS OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to lamp tube unit/light source device for general lighting field and to a process for manufacturing of the said lamp tube unit. More particularly, the invention relates to an improved lamp tube unit having length less than 325 mm and is about half or one-third the length of the conventional T5-tube of 14W/21W which is directly fitted/plugged into any B22 holder. One of the advantages of this lamp tube unit is that it is very cost effective considering the tube unit being half or one-third the length of the conventional T5-tube of 14W/21W.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
In market available T5-tube light 0f-14W/21W have length more than 325 mm the circuits used are mainly Voltage Fed Half Bridge, which has been optimized to drive a standard T5-tube light 0f-14W/ 21W lamp a nominal lamp power of T5-tube light 0f-14W/21W. In this T5-tube light 0f-14W/ 21W circuit. The tubes are used at cool day light 6400k color temperature. However, the total lamp power is fixed at about 14W, 21W so that the total power drawn from the mains is around 16W/23W or less at a nominal mains voltage of 230 Vrms/50Hz. The circuit is of the instant-start type to achieve instant light output. The mains voltage operating range generally is 150 -280 Vrms. The circuit is able to ignite from mains voltage down to 150 Vrms. One of the key components is the bipolar power-switching transistor. Furthermore, a driver transformer (ring core) is used to drive and control the switching transistors. The
driver transformer saturates at a defined current level so that the lamp current is controlled in an indirect way by this electronics ballast. This way, the rated tube lumens as per tube specification are achieved in stable "ON" condition.
The drawbacks /disadvantages of the above mentioned prior art is that the tube light available in the prior art was not easy to install from one location to another location like house, office & building even if B22 holder is available because it require mounting arrangement.
Further it needed some wiring connection for installation, also help from electrician assistant to install.
The length occupied by the prior tube was more, hence needed a lot of space and therefore the tube light could not be installed where small length location was present, example table drover.
The prior art tube light increased cost of installation in term of wires & labor.
Thus there is a need to provide an improved lamp/tube light unit so that it can be fitted/plugged in directly to any standard B22 holder, the unit is easy to install from one location to another location where B22 holder is generally available like house, office & building, no extra instillation change requires as it is directly fitted in B22 holder. Also need not require any help of electrician assistant, this reduce cost in term of wires & labor for installation. Convenient due to less tube length occupied, Lamp tube can be easily replaced by the user, Different color light can be achieved by user by just changing different color tube by the user it self.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
The basic object of the invention is to overcome the disadvantages of the prior art.
One of the objects of the invention is to design an improved lamp tube unit and the process for manufacturing the said unit, which would easily get fitted/plugged into any B22 holder.
Another object of the present invention is to provide an improved lamp tube unit of length less than 325 mm and half or one-third the length as of the conventional lamp unit.
Another object of the invention is to design an improved lamp tube unit, which is easy to install, from one location to another and no extra installation charge or require any help of electrician assistant.
Yet another object of the invention is to design an improved unit that reduces cost in terms of wire and labor installation charge.
Yet another object of the invention is to design an improved unit in which a tube length is less than 325 mm and include a power range 15w~20w as used in indoor application like house lighting, office lightning and general indoor lightening.
Yet another object of the invention is to design an improved unit so that it has an instant start topology i.e. illuminate in an instant without any flicker,

One aspect of the present invention is to provide an improved lamp tube unit of length less than 325 mm and half or one-third the length of any conventional lamp unit, said unit comprising :
cover means having top cover and bottom cover;
holder means being associated with said cover means so as to hold the tube lamp;
locking means adapted to lock said top cover and said bottom cover:
wherein said top cover upper side comprises unique slope design having plurality of
slopes reflecting enhanced light output.
Another aspect of the present invention is to provide a process for manufacturing improved lamp tube unit as described above comprising steps of:
(i) insertion of electronic components in PCBs;
(ii) soldering said components with said PCB;
(iii) applying flux by foam fluxing on PCB for removing the contamination
and corrosion;
(iv) pre-heating said PCBs;
(v) applying solar bath on said PCBs;
(vi) removing unwanted components by means of lead cutting machine:
(vii) passing said PCBs through wave solder machine;
(viii) wiring said PCBs;
(ix) cleaning flux and contaminants from the PCBs; and
(x) coating the PCBs with lacquer.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The constructional feature is ease of installation & mobility, directing plugging & easy to replace from one location to another location for indoor application & additional feature is customer can easily fit the light source device as per required location where B22 holder are generally fitted, without using of extra wiring & help of electrician.
The light source device are designed as an instant start topology using High Frequency control gear so they always illuminate in an instant without any flicker.
They are Small in size, has good color rendering, low lumen depreciation, long lifetime about 8000 hours, no frequency blinking, energy saving, cost reduction, instant start under low temperature and low voltage.
The light source device is for general lighting field with a length less than 325 mm within & including power range 15w~~20w as used in indoor application like house lighting, office lighting, and general indoor lighting.
The novel feature of the light source device is direct fitting in any B22 holder available (which reduce installation cost), mobility of installation plugging, ease of mobility, need not require help of electrician assistant for installation, and reduced cost against equivalent power T5-lamp, very low glare compare to equivalent power CFL lamp means comfortable light.
One of the advantages of the light unit of the present invention is that it gets fitted in standard B22 holder and therefore, direct plugging of t5-twin star is possible.
Another advantage is easy to install from one location to another location where B22 holder is generally available like house, office & building, no extra instillation change is required as it is directly fitted in B22 holder.
Also there is no requirement of any assistance of electricians which reduces cost in term of wires & labor for installation.
Further the unit of the present invention is convenient due to less tube length occupied.
The user can easily replace lamp tube and different color light can be achieved by user by just changing different color tube by the user it self.
