BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS
Further objects and advantages of this invention will be more apparent from
the ensuing description' when read in conjunction with the accompanying
drawings and wherein:
. Fig. 1 shows: conventional vehicle with bracket for mounting tether anchorage.
Fig. 2 ·shows: improved male fuel filler hinge ~oor for mounting of Fuel filler
j
cap's tether anchorage according to' the present invention.
Fig, 3 shows: sectional view (B-B) of the present invention.
Fig. 4 shows: male fuel filler hinge door with local area mounted with tether
anchorage according to the· presentinv~ntion.
,DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION WITH REFERENCE TO THE
ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS
The present invention discloses an improved male fuel filler hinge. door for
mounting of fuel filler cap's tether anchon1ge as shown in fig. 2. Said male fuel
.filler hinge door comprising of a clip mounting (1). for mounting of tether
anchorage. The clip mounting is provided by reducing'thickness of the localized
. area (tether clip mounting area(
The reduction in thickness is achieved by the method o{ coining (c) as shown in
fig. 3 which is introduced during the manl1facturing of the male fuel filler hinge
door.
The novel hinge door of present. invention is preferably rriade of material such
as Hot rolled c.oil (HRC), cold rolled coil (CRC).
. -,

The operation of commg and material of door are given as an example.·
H9we~er, othe~ suitable operation for reduction in the thickness of the localized
. area and other suitable materials ·of the door readily apparent to a person
skilled in the art are understood to be within scope of the invention:
. .
The above provision of the invention .eliminates tether bracket, which leads\ to . . . .
reduction in the following:-
1. Weight of the vehicle.
2. Co~t of the vehicle .
. 3. Number of parts in the vehicle.
4. Weldi1:1g (Assembly) time.
Thus, the tether anchorage _(T) is mounted on the localizeq area with reduced
thickness of the male fuel .filler hinge door (as shown in fig. 4) for
commonisatlon ofthe cap fuel filler.
It is. fo be noted that the present invention is susceptible to modifications,
adaptations and changes by thoseskilled in the art. Such variantembodiments
employi[lg the concepts and features of this invention are intended to be within
the scope of the present invention, which is further set forth under the
following claims:-:-

WE CLAIM:-
1. Improved ·male fuel filler hinge door for mounting o.f. Fuel filler c::ap's
tether anchorage comprising of a novel clip mounting ·with reduced
thickness for mounting of tether anchorage. . '
2. Improved male fuel filler hinge door as claimed in claim 1, wherein the
tether clip mounting is integrally provided with the male fuel filler hinge
door.
3. Improved male fuel fille'r. hinge ·door as claimed in claim 1 or 2, wherein
the thickness of the tether clip mounting area is reduced by introdw:~ing
operation of coining during manufacturing of the hinge door:.
4. Improved male fuel filler hinge door as claimed in .any of the preceding
'
claims, wherein the tether anchorage is. mounted on the localized area
with reduced thickness of the male. fuel filler · hinge· door for
commonisation of the cap fuel filler.
5. Improved male fuel filler. hinge do or as claimed· in any of the preceding
·claims, which leads to reduction in the weight of the vehiCle, cost of the
vehicle, number of parts in the vehicle and welding (Assembly) time.
6. Improved male fuel filler hinge door· for mounting of ·Fuel filler ~ap's
