Abstract: A bearing assembly for using in wharve body comprises top sealing means and bottom sealing means, which may be radial and/or axial seals within the chamber of the said bearing. The radial and axial sealing is achieved by special groove profiles in the external body and twist frame. The body is placed such that it holds the seal in groove and rotates around the twist frame. The bearing assembly includes sealed needle bushes and thrust bearing with additional composite rubber seal The assembly has labyrinth type sealing on face of the circular part. The bearing assembly uses grease in the wharve housing and labyrinth type sealing on face of the circular part. It uses needle bushes and needle thrust bearings, with additional sealing on lip and face. The bearing assembly comprises of radial needle roller bearing, thrust needle bearing, and sealing on top and bottom portion of bearing. The bearing assembly has lock nut for sealing and labyrinth on faces of round part for sealing.

THE PATENTS ACT, 1970 (39 of 1970)
AND
THE PATENTS RULES, 2003 COMPLETE SPECIFICATION
{See section 10; rule 13)
1. TITLE OF THE INVENTION :
"SEALED WHARVE BODY WITH NEEDLE ROLLER BEARING"
2. APPLICANT:
(a) Name NRB Bearing Ltd.
(b) Nationality Indian
(c) Address : Pokhran Road-2, Majiwade
Thane [W]-400 610
3. PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION :
COMPLETE SPECIFICATION
The following specification describes the invention and the manner in which it is to be performed.
FIELD OF THE INVENTION:
The present invention generally relates to an improved radial needle roller bearing. Particularly, the present invention relates to a radial sealed needle roller bearing including a thrust needle bearing for inhibiting/ preventing the leakage of oil and entry of dust in a wharve body.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PRIOR ART:
The previously known needle bearings used in a wharve body used magneto / deep groove ball bearings.
The previously known bearings will be described with reference to the drawings accompanying the provisional specification wherein:
Figure 1 shows the exploded cross-sectional view of the bearing known in the prior art.
Referring to the figure 1, the said bearing included a sleeve (6) for the wharve housing and an oil thrower (7), which was not able to retain oil in the wharve for longer period. The oil used to drip out and get mixed with the jute fibers. Moreover, the metal shield (11) was not providing effective sealing to prevent entry of foreign particles. Also, the metallic parts created noise when the wharve body was under rotation in the jute mills.
The use of the above mentioned bearing also caused pollution and entry of foreign particles. Further, there was a problem of preload adjustment, need for periodic oil lubrication, noise generation, heat generation and bearing failure.
The aforesaid bearing a\so required additional protection by seai as an integrated part of bearing because of pollution and entry of foreign particles from outside of wharve.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
The problems and disadvantages associated with the bearings known in the prior art are obviated using the present invention in which combination of a thrust bearing and needle bush bearing is used.
It is a further object of the invention to avoid the entry of pollutants inside the wharve by the use of radial and axial seals.
It is a further object of the invention to accommodate the seals, needfe bushes with rubber seal, thrust needle bearing with bottom and top side composite seals within the chamber of the wharve assembly to preserve grease for permanent lubrication, high rigidity of entire wharves assembly.
SUMMARY OF INVENTION
The present invention provides an improved sealing concept in wharve body by using sealing means including a thrust bearing and a needle bush bearing.
DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
The present invention will be described with reference to the drawings accompanying the provisional specification wherein:
Figure 1 shows the exploded cross-sectional view of the bearing known in the prior art.
FIG. 2 shows the exploded cross-sectional view of the bearing;
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention will be described with reference to the preferred embodiment.
Referring to the Figure 2, the bearing assembly comprises of top sealing means (8) and bottom sealing means (9), which may be radial and/or axial seals within the chamber of the said bearing. Radial and axial sealing is achieved by special groove profiles in the external body (1), and twist frame (3). The body (1) holds the seal in groove and rotates around the twist frame (3). The invention also uses sealed needle bushes (12) and thrust bearing (10) with additional composite rubber seal.
Another aspect of invention is to use groove in lock nut (7) for sealing in radial and axial direction by seal (8).
Another aspect on invention is to use grease (14,15) in the wharve housing instead of oiJ.
The present invention eliminates the use of the sleeve (6) and the oil thrower (7) (referring to the figure 1}.
Another preferred embodiment of present invention is add labyrinth (16,17) type sealing on face of the circular part, whereas in the prior art, the labyrinth type sealing are provided on internal or external diameter.
As per one of the preferred embodiments of the present invention, usage of magneto bearing converted is used as needle bushes and needle thrust bearings, with additional sealing on lip and face.
As per another preferred embodiment, the present invention also provides rigidity and absorbs shocks and reduces friction by usage of function of radial needle roller bearing, thrust needle bearing, and sealing on top and bottom portion of bearing.
Another preferred embodiment is for reduction of noise, torque needle bush bearings and needle thrust bearing is used. By using needle bush bearings and needle thrust bearing torque is reduced and helped in power consumption.
The embodiments of the invention described, referred hereinabove are calculated to overcome the hurdles and achieve benefits, and advantages as hereinabove set forth. It may be possible to further modify and improve the described invention within the scope of the unity of the present invention.
