Abstract: An embodiment herein provides a urea mixer device (100). The urea mixer device (100) comprises a perforated C-shape plate (1), a mixing tube (2), a perforated tube (4), a Z-shape plate (5) and a splash plate (6). The C-shape plate (1) directs the flow of gas partially into the mixing tube (2) while allowing some amount of gas to flow through the C-shape plate 10 (1). The mixing tube (2) with specialised deflectors (9a, 9b) and perforations that ensures good swirl and evaporation of injected urea. The splash plate (6) disperses the injected urea which are not evaporated in the swirl. The perforated tube (4) is for to enhance the uniformity index. The Z-shape plate (5) is for to channel the exhaust gas from mixing tube (2) to the perforated tube (4) via the C-shape plate (1). The adaptor and mounting plate (7,8) 15 that ensures optimal tip penetration inside the mixer to reduce the risk of deposits near the injector tip. FIGURE 2
1. A urea mixer device (100) for mixing of urea and exhaust gas uniformly, comprising: a mixing tube (2); an urea injector (3) that injects the urea into said mixing tube (2) to mix the exhaust gas with the urea uniformly; characterized in that, a C-shape plate (1) having perforations, when said exhaust gas enters the urea mixer device (100), a major portion of the exhaust gas is diverted into the mixing tube (2) while remaining portion of the exhaust gas enters into the C-shape plate (1) via said perforations; said mixing tube (2) having deflectors (9a, 9b) at an upper half (10) and bottom half (11), said deflectors (9a) at the upper half (10) of the mixing tube (2) have openings that are opposite in directions to the deflectors (9b) at the bottom half (11) of the mixing tube (2) which creates a swirl inside the mixing tube (2) in counter clockwise direction until the end of the mixing tube (2); a Z-shape plate (5) that directs the flow of the exhaust gas from the mixing tube (2) to a perforated tube (4) via the C-shape plate (1); and a splash plate (6) that is coupled with said mixing tube (2) at inside, said splash plate (6) disperses and evaporates any non-evaporated stream of injected urea into the swirl.
2. The urea mixer device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the exhaust gas flows down the mixing tube (2) and into a transfer chamber made by the C-shape plate (1).
3. The urea mixer device as claimed in claim 1, wherein a portion of the exhaust gas raises up via the perforated tube (4) and exits the urea mixer device (100) via the perforations, while the remaining portion of the exhaust gas exits the urea mixer device (100) through the perforations on other side of the C-shape plate (1).
4. The urea mixer device as claimed in claim 1, comprising an adaptor mounting plate (8); and an adaptor (7), wherein said adaptor mounting plate (8) and said adaptor (7) are welded together and are mated to the urea injector (3) using a V-Clamp to ensure optimal tip penetration inside the mixer device.
We Claim:
1. A urea mixer device (100) for mixing of urea and exhaust gas uniformly, comprising:
a mixing tube (2);
an urea injector (3) that injects the urea into said mixing tube (2) to mix the exhaust gas with the urea uniformly;
characterized in that,
a C-shape plate (1) having perforations, when said exhaust gas enters the urea mixer device (100), a major portion of the exhaust gas is diverted into the mixing tube (2) while remaining portion of the exhaust gas enters into the C-shape plate (1) via said perforations;
said mixing tube (2) having deflectors (9a, 9b) at an upper half (10) and bottom half (11), said deflectors (9a) at the upper half (10) of the mixing tube (2) have openings that are opposite in directions to the deflectors (9b) at the bottom half (11) of the mixing tube (2) which creates a swirl inside the mixing tube (2) in counter clockwise direction until the end of the mixing tube (2);
a Z-shape plate (5) that directs the flow of the exhaust gas from the mixing tube (2) to a perforated tube (4) via the C-shape plate (1); and
a splash plate (6) that is coupled with said mixing tube (2) at inside, said splash plate (6) disperses and evaporates any non-evaporated stream of injected urea into the swirl.
4. The urea mixer device as claimed in claim 1, comprising
an adaptor mounting plate (8); and
an adaptor (7), wherein said adaptor mounting plate (8) and said adaptor (7) are welded together and are mated to the urea injector (3) using a V-Clamp to ensure optimal tip penetration inside the mixer device.
