Abstract: [Problem] To provide a mechanism whereby it is possible to cause processing to be performed as intended by a user when the user performs an input operation. [Solutions] An information processing device provided with a control unit which controls processing associated with an input made by positioning a manipulator in close proximity to an object on the basis of information that is based on results of detection of the input and that relates to the location at which the input has been detected and on the basis of information about the position of the manipulator as estimated using image information obtained by capturing an image of the manipulator as a subject. An information processing method comprising controlling by a processor processing associated with an input made by positioning a manipulator in close proximity to an object on the basis of information that is based on results of detection of the input and that relates to the location at which the input has been detected and on the basis of information about the position of the manipulator as estimated using image information obtained by capturing an image of the manipulator as a subject.
