Abstract: Consistent with embodiments of this disclosure an information processing apparatus is provided. The information processing apparatus comprises an input terminal configured to receive a plurality of Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) descriptions from a plurality of external devices. The UPnP descriptions comprise grouping information indicating one or more groups to which the external devices belong. The information processing apparatus further comprises a processing unit configured to process the UPnP descriptions and assign the external devices to the one or more groups based on the grouping information.
