, Description:

Technical field
The present invention relates to an inline shower pressure booster for residential households to boost water of Shower. More particularly, the present invention discloses low weight compact inline automatic pump powered by water cooled BLDC motor configured to boost the flow of high temperature water.

Background technology
The domestic water supplies are often installed as gravity fed systems whereby the water pressure of the installation is dependent on a height of a cold-water tank typically installed in the loft of the domestic premises. This can lead to generally low water pressure which may result in poorly performing showers for bathing and in slow running water from faucets, taps or the like. With the very much increased installations of domestic showers for bathing over recent decades, there has been an increasing demand for booster pumps to boost the domestic mains water pressure or at least to boost the pressure of water in kitchens, bathrooms and showers.

Existing pipeline pump is mostly vertical Formula structure, volume is big, and space-consuming is larger, cannot meet the use environment in some small spaces and existing pipeline pump is mostly hand Dynamic control, operating efficiency are low.

Conventional booster pumps are typically arranged to simultaneously pump both heated and unheated water - normally referred to as ‘hot’ and ‘cold’ water. The reason for pumping both hot and cold water via the same pump is to achieve a balanced supply into the shower mixer valve thus preventing one of the hot water flow or the cold water flow overwhelming the other and thereby compromising the temperature adjustment parameters of the mixer valve.
Currently there are two main alternative approaches in existence.

1. Hydro Pumps: The system is the combination of the inline multistage surface pump, pressurized tank, control panel and pressure gauges. With the help of this whole system water get pressurised. However, the disadvantage is that the system so bulky and costly and the pressure is so high which is not suitable for single shower.
2. Some small solutions are also available to give pressurised water from the shower, but installation of that pump is not at all an easy task. Special arrangement and place must manage to install that pumps, to install in old houses some piping connection should maintain by the plumber.

In the prior art, GB24625392 and GB2506280 each disclose a complex twin ended water pressure booster pump for a shower or the like. The pump comprises an electric motor delivering rotational energy through a shaft. The shaft is driven to rotate by the rotor of the motor. The shaft extends to a first end of the motor through a first backplate assembly of a first pump chamber to drive an impeller in said first pump chamber to deliver fluid under pressure to a first outlet.

Therefore there is a need for inline booster pump configured to be implement near to the shower due to lesser weight (approx. 60% lesser in weight) and compared to existing booster pump and to give pleasure experience of bathing to the users with the help of arrangement of compact inline automatic pump with shower, pump is specially designed and developed to attached with the shower to boost water coming from shower for the users which is easy to install and economic.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Below in conjunction with the accompanying drawing in the present invention embodiment, the technical scheme in the embodiment of the present invention is carried out clearly and completely describing, it is clear that described embodiment is only the present invention part of the embodiment, rather than whole embodiment. Based on the embodiment in the present invention, those of ordinary skill in the art are not under the premise of creative work is made. Every other embodiment obtained, belong to the scope of the present invention protection.

To get a good and proper bath is important for the hygiene of the body and for the refreshment of the individuals. As a lot of study says that good bath/shower can reduce muscle tension, improves blood circulation, reduces sugar levels, boosts the immune system, treats depression, helps to reduce stress, removes toxins, achieve cleanliness of washing away dead skin cells and dirt/soil, also reduce body odors, So, the idea is to give sufficient amount of water from the overhead tank with pressure for a good bath/wash.

In the Existing scenario as shown in fig. 1, the pressure of water outcome depends on the H, H is the height difference between shower and the overhead water tank. Usually the single floor houses have less height, which is not enough to give pressurized water.
User stayed in the top floor of the multistoried building also faced the same problem.

In proposed concept an automatic inline pump is fitted inline with the shower to boost the water with the help of AC (alternating current) supply at minimum cost of energy. (As shown in fig 2). Thee term automatic implies that with the operation of shower value the pump is operated. When the shower value in on the flow sensor gives signal to the pump to get started and vice versa. The term inline means that the pump is fitted in the same line where the shower is fitted, just adjacent to the shower as shown in fig2.

Connection of the pump with the shower is so easy that user can itself connect the pump with the shower without any help of plumber.
Pump is available with following connection:
1. Threaded joints
2. Slotted joints.

According to Skin Vision, showering at temperatures above 105°F (41°C) can cause skin inflammations like eczema, psoriasis, or even drop in blood pressure. So, below 105°F (41°C) as this is the safest and most enjoyable way to enjoy a warm shower or bath. So, the pump will never operate above the 105°F (41°C) of water, still taking factor of safety and reliability in concern the pump can handle upto 158°F (70°C) of water.

As shown in the prior art, the existing booster pump is bigger in size due to its motor type (Induction motor) and runs on almost on 3000 RPM, so due to its size and weight, pump fitted away from the shower which increase the input power to achieve required pressure output.

So, to reduce input power, the proposed shower booster pump can easily fit near to the shower head due to its less weight and size as shown in Fig 2. To reduce size of the pump, the proposed booster pump’s motor (6) is of BLDC type due to which proposed booster pump can able to achieve approx. 400% RPM, which help to reduce the size of Impeller (3) upto 1/ 4 th of the size of existing impeller and other components of the pump accordingly. Hence the proposed booster pump is fitted near to the shower head which requires less input power for the same pressure output.

As shown in Fig 2, the Proposed shower booster pump consists of Outer Pipe (Casing) (2) which have Inline water inlet (1) and Water Outlet (11) connected to inlet pipe and shower head respectively.

As shown in Fig 4, the impeller (3) connected to BLDC motor (6) rotates at almost 13000 RPM, which is kept in the oil seal (4) protected area (Enclosed by Inner pipe (7), Diffuser (5) oil seal (4) Discharge chamber (10) O-rings) prevents the insertion of water into the motor (6). The water gets pressurized by Impeller (3) and directed by diffuser (5) goes from the Gap (12), between outer pipe (2) and inner pipe (7) to the Outlet (11), which also help to take heat of motor (6) and keeps cool. A sensor (9) is the flow sensor which indicates pump, when to on and off, by sensing the flow due to shower valve. The electronic controller unlike the existing booster pump is fitted away from the pump for safety. The disclosed electronic controller is like a mobile adapter which is outside the casing.

In working mode, the water aspirated through impeller inducer from the outer of stator by water inlet surface is passed through, and flows out delivery port, therefore temperature during motor controller work is absorbed by fluid media (medium), overall water pump Temperature can be very low. Water inlet is on same straight line, is conveniently directly installed on pipeline, not taken up space with delivery port. The impeller uses closed type centrifugal impeller, and has good pressurized effect. This water pump uses DC brushless motor and control program, substantially increases the operating efficiency of water pump, while also reduce water pump body, and service life greatly improves. The said electronic control unit can add the sensors such as temperature, pressure, can monitor fluid media (medium) Pressure and temperature in pipeline etc. Required according to user, easily can control and monitor the run action of pump, realize pressure The Comprehensive Control of power, power and variable.

The disclosed inline automatic shower pressure booster for residential households to boost water of Shower in this context solves existing problem of pressurised water.

1. Pump is small in size.
2. Cost effective.
3. Energy efficient.
4. It is automatic operated by the shower valve.
5. It can boost upto 70°C water.
6. It is inline to the shower.
7. It is Easy to install due to direct connection joint is given in the pump.

The inline pump uses horizontal type structure, the i.e. pump housing with water inlet, delivery port point-blank, be conveniently directly installed on pipeline, do not take up space, using DC brushless motor and Electronic control unit controls, and operating efficiency is high, service life length, easily can be controlled and supervised with electronic control unit control. The run action of pump is surveyed, realizes the comprehensive control of pressure. The temperature of water pump can be taken away with water so that pump body temperature is low, it is easy to realize high rotating speed, improve operating efficiency.
