DESC:[001] The present disclosure generally relates to an integrated planetary casing system and method of manufacturing thereof. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to the integrated planetary casing system for hub reduction tandem axle and method of manufacturing thereof.
[002] The current practice is to use split type hub casing with separate planetary carrier unit in the automobile. In the split type planetary carrier design, a carrier is connected to hub casing by the bolted joints. In such system, a separate assembly of planet gear and needle roller bearing is done and it is mounted on hub by the bolts.
[003] However, the limitation or drawback of such system are such as it required high maintenance cost due to integration of greater numbers of parts into the system, which lead to higher machine cost. Also, this system required greater amount of time for assembly.
[004] Therefore, there is an unmet need to find an alternate low-cost robust single integrated planetary casing system to avoid integration of higher numbers of parts or components, which leads towards higher maintenance cost resulting into undesirable machine price with greater amount of assembly time.
[005] The present invention solves the aforementioned and other allied problems by the way of providing integrated planetary casing design for Hub reduction tandem axle instead of conventional planetary carrier and hub casing system. The integrated hub casing design is a new and unique system of a single piece hub casing with integrated planetary carrier is used. Further due to stiffness nature with single casing there may not minimal requirement of hardware for assembly resulting low-cost product.
[006] It is a light-weight design as compared to conventional split type design due to single part design. It is a single piece product with no joint and locking mechanism. Further it is light weight design, reduced no hardware’s and reduced service cost, thereby this product ensures low aftermarket service and maintenance cost and being implemented in PRO 8000 vehicle platform system.

[009] The present invention relates to the integrated planetary casing system and method of manufacturing thereof. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to the integrated planetary casing system for hub reduction tandem axle and method of manufacturing thereof.

The integrated hub casing of present invention is a new and unique system of a single piece hub casing with integrated planetary carrier is used. Further due to stiffness nature with single casing there may not minimal requirement of hardware for assembly resulting low-cost product. It is a light-weight design as compared to conventional split type design due to single part design. It is a single piece product with no joint and locking mechanism.
