FIELD OF INVENTION
This invention relates to an integrated roof lining holder in interior plastic trims for passenger car.
BACKGROUND
Good fitment of Headliner with Plastic trims is complicated. This becomes even difficult in C pillar region where weather seal is also fitted. The headliner is the very important aesthetic part with lot of visibility in car interiors. Inferior fitment often causes lot of concern for vehicle appeal and beauty.
Conventionally, a U clamp shape is provided in Interior Plastic Trims. This is weak in structure associated with several limitations.
In conventional design, there is inadequate support for U clamp shape. Therefore, the U clamp shape is weak and can flex easily. At times, it is required to increase the thickness of the root of the U-shaped clamp shape to provide strength to the basic clamp structure, which can lead to appearance defects like sink marks, etc. (fig. 2).
Further, it does not allow slider movement in shown direction (fig. 2) due to undercut formation.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION

The primary object of the present invention is to provide an integrated roof lining holder in interior plastic trims which is simple and cost effective.
Another object of the present invention is to provide an integrated roof lining holder in interior plastic trims which provides better support to the roof lining and strengthens the U clamp shape in interior plastic trims thereby enabling better weather-strip fitment.
Further object of the present invention is to provide an integrated roof lining holder in interior plastic trims which reduces no. of sliders in interior plastic trim and hence saves tooling cost while providing same functionality of holding headliner.
Still another object of the present invention is to provide an integrated roof lining holder in interior plastic trims which is adjustable according to the use of sliders in both directions and optimisation for locking of headliner in all directions.
Yet another object of the present invention is to provide an integrated roof lining holder in interior plastic trims which improves quality of fit and finish of car interiors space.
STATEMENT OF INVENTION
According to this invention, there is provided an integrated roof lining holder in interior plastic trims for passenger car comprising of atmost two sliders and a plurality of ribs.

DETAIL DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION WITH REFERENCE TO THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS: -
The present invention discloses an integrated roof lining holder in interior plastic trims for passenger car.
Conventional holder requires three sliders in tooling, whereas the present invention requires only two sliders, which move in both directions due to elimination of undercut. Further, additional strength is provided by means of a number of ribs.
Thus, the present invention is provided with a plurality of ribs, which takes care of the structure strength (fig. 5)..
Undercut has been eliminated in the present invention for slider movement (fig. 4), which leads to enhancement in manufacturing of part and reduction in tool complexity.

The present invention provides additional support through ribs to the side wall of the roof lining thereby ensuring better control of the appearance gap between roof lining and plastic parts (fig. 5).
It is to be noted that the present invention is susceptible to modifications, adaptations and changes by those skilled in the art. Such variant embodiments employing the concepts and features of this invention are intended to be within the scope of the present invention, which is further set forth under the following claims:-

WE CLAIM:
1. An integrated roof lining holder in interior plastic trims for passenger car comprising of atmost two sliders and a plurality of ribs.
2. An integrated roof lining holder in interior plastic trims as claimed in claim 1, wherein said sliders move in both directions due to elimination of under cut.
3. An integrated roof lining holder in interior plastic trims as claimed in claim 1 or 2, wherein said ribs take care of the structure strength.
4. An integrated roof lining holder in interior plastic trims as claimed in any of the preceding claims, wherein said elimination of the under cut for slider movement results in enhancement in manufacturing of part and reduction in tool complexity.
