The present invention relates to the field of garbage bin. Particularly the invention provides an intelligent garbage bin and method of operation of the intelligent bin.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:

The following background discussion includes information that may be useful in understanding the present invention. It is not an admission that any of the information provided herein is prior art or relevant to the presently claimed invention, or that any publication specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art.

Littering in public places like bus stand, railways and metro station, public park etc. despite having a dustbin in the vicinity costs the beautification and hygiene of the place. Cleaning these places needs lot of manpower and material resources timely. These places can be kept clean by using technology which can detect nearby trash / garbage and inspire the people to throw garbage into a bin nearby him.

WO2017175244A1 provides a smart bin with proximity sensors and allows the system to send the details of the user to civic authorities and social media.

WO2016100137A1 provides a bin with sensors mounted on top or bottom of the bin cover which measures the quantity of the garbage in the bin.

CN1974347A discuses an intelligent bin that can sense the level of garbage in the container and close the lid automatically once it is filled to the threshold decided.

CN107133698A explains an IOT based waste management system.

The prior art reveals sensing mechanisms for garbage being available. Other added features are also found as discussed. A composite human interaction less system is although still needed at a decentralized level

Hence, there is need of a cost effective bin which can detect the trash nearby it and inspires the people to throw garbage into the bin.

OBJECTIVES OF THE PRESENT INVENTION:

Primary object of the present invention is to overcome the drawback associated with the prior art.

Another aspect of the present invention is to provide an intelligent dustbin which can detect the spoiled garbage nearby it.

Yet another object of the present invention is to provide an intelligent dustbin which alarms a sound when people throw garbage into dustbin.

Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a cost effective intelligent dustbin.

Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a method of operation of the intelligent dustbin.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In an aspect of the present invention there is provided an intelligent bin for detecting the nearby trash and inspires the people to throw garbage into the bin. In an embodiment, the intelligent bin comprising:

a) a bin body having space for disposing garbage comprising a top end and bottom end where the top end of bin body covered with a lid having opening for disposing garbage;
b) a detection unit arranged on the bin body, configured to detect the nearby trash, comprising plurality of ultrasonic sensor having a pair of opening for adapting a transmitter and a receiver where said transmitter configured to transmit a high-frequency sound pulse and said receiver configured to receives the echo of the sound to reflect back;
c) a controller unit connected with said detection unit, configured to receive the signal from the detection unit where said controller unit comprises a memory and a processor to process for comparing the received signal to a threshold value for thrash stored in the memory and generate an output signal;
d) an alarm unit configured to raise an alert on detection of trash nearby, connected and control by the controller unit and configured to receive the output signal from signal from controller unit
e) Actuator unit configured to open/close the opening of lid for disposing garbage and loading/ unloading garbage, comprises a linear actuator connected with the controlled unit and automatically open the lid on receiving the signal from said controller unit on detecting the signal from the from said sensor module and a hydraulic actuator to hold the bin for loading and unloading the garbage bin;
f) power supply unit comprises a battery, connected with said detection unit, controller unit and actuator uni and the alarm unit for supplying power for functioning; and wherein the said bin generate an sound alarm/ sound instruction/ request sound on detecting the trash thrown by the people nearby to the said dustbin.

In another aspect of the present invention there is provided A method for detecting the nearby trash and inspires the people to throw garbage into the intelligent bin. In an embodiment, the method comprising the steps of:

a) Activating the detecting unit by switching on the power supply followed by transmitting the ultrasonic wave by the plurality of sensor and receiving the reflected wave from the nearby object;
b) Detecting the garbage thrown to nearby the bin by said sensor receive through followed by transmitting the signal to control unit starts process the actuating the opening of lid of said bin and generating an alarm;
c) Alerting and inspiring a person nearby by generating a sound alert/ instruction /request for through the garbage into the bin.

For the purpose of illustrating the invention, there is shown in the drawings exemplary constructions of the invention; however, the invention is not limited to the specific methods and system disclosed. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION:

Some embodiments of this invention, illustrating all its features, will now be discussed in detail.

Although any systems and methods similar or equivalent to those described herein can be used in the practice or testing of embodiments of the present invention, the preferred, systems and methods are now described.

The disclosed embodiments are merely exemplary of the invention, which may be embodied in various forms.

The elements illustrated in the Figures inter-operate as explained in more detail below. Before setting forth the detailed explanation, however, it is noted that all of the discussion below, regardless of the particular implementation being described, is exemplary in nature, rather than limiting.

The present invention provides an intelligent dustbin which can detect the junk nearby it and open its lid for the junk and once junk is put inside, it will let out a sound alert.
In an aspect of the present invention there is provided an intelligent bin for detection of nearby trash and inspires the people to throw garbage into the bin. In an embodiment, the bin comprising:

a) a bin body having space for disposing garbage comprising a top end and bottom end where the top end of bin body covered with a lid having opening for disposing garbage;
b) a detection unit arranged on the bin body, configured to detect the nearby trash, comprising plurality of ultrasonic sensor having a pair of opening for adapting a transmitter and a receiver where said transmitter configured to transmit a high-frequency sound pulse and said receiver configured to receives the echo of the sound to reflect back;
c) a controller unit connected with said detection unit, configured to receive the signal from the detection unit where said controller unit comprises a memory and a processor to process for comparing the received signal to a threshold value for thrash stored in the memory and generate an output signal;
d) Actuator unit configured to open/close the opening of lid for disposing garbage and loading/ unloading garbage, comprises a linear actuator connected with the controlled unit and automatically open the lid on receiving the signal from said controller unit on detecting the signal from the from said sensor module and a hydraulic actuator to hold the bin for loading and unloading the garbage bin;
e) an alarm unit configured to raise an alert on detection of trash nearby, connected and control by the controller unit and configured to receive the output signal from signal from controller unit and stopping the sound alert on throwing the garbage into the bin;

f) power supply unit comprises a battery, connected with said detection unit, controller unit and actuator unit and the alarm unit for supplying power for functioning; and wherein the said bin generate an sound alarm/ sound instruction/ request sound on detecting the trash thrown by the people nearby to the said dustbin.

In an embodiment, the memory of the control unit stores the sound instruction/ request.

In an embodiment, the bin comprises an LED indicator connected with the said battery indicating the turn on and turn off situation of the intelligent bin.

In an embodiment, the controller unit process from received signal for activating the alarm unit for generating the sound alert/sound alarm/ instruction.

In an embodiment, the controller unit comprises a programmed instruction to process for comparing the threshold value.

In an embodiment, the hydraulic actuators load and unload the bin in the municipal vehicle.

In an embodiment, the bin comprises a switch to turn on and turn off the power supply unit.

In an embodiment, the linear actuator driven by the controller unit to control the movement of lid for closing /opening.

In an embodiment, the garbage bin has installed sensor that will give data to actuator to alert sound for using dustbin.

In an embodiment, the garbage bin comprises microcontroller and ultrasonic Sensor buzzer that works in connection with each other to run the garbage bin.

In an embodiment, referring to Figure 1, 2, the intelligent bin (2) comprising a bin body (4) having space for disposing garbage comprising a top end and bottom end where the top end of bin body covered with a lid having opening for disposing garbage. A detection unit arranged on the bin body (4) , configured to detect the nearby trash, comprising plurality of ultrasonic sensor (6) having a pair of opening for adapting a transmitter and a receiver . A controller unit (8) connected with said detection unit, configured to receive the signal from the detection unit where said controller unit comprises a memory and a processor to process for comparing the received signal to a threshold value for thrash stored in the memory and generate an output signal. An alarm unit/ buzzer (10) alert the person and inspiring to throw the garbage into the dustbin.

A power supply unit comprises a battery (12) , connected with said detection unit, controller unit and actuator unit and the alarm unit for supplying power for functioning; and wherein the said bin generate an sound alarm/ sound instruction/ request sound on detecting the trash thrown by the people nearby to the said dustbin.

The LED light ( 14) use as an indicator for turning on and off situation of said dustbin.

In an embodiment, a sensor like ultrasonic sensor that sends out a high-frequency sound pulse and also receives the echo of the sound to reflect back. The sensor has 2 openings on its front, one opening transmits ultrasonic waves (like a tiny speaker) while the other opening receives them (like a tiny microphone). The speed of sound is approximately 341 meters (1100 feet) per second in air. The ultrasonic sensor uses this information along with the time difference between sending and receiving the sound pulse to determine the distance to an object.

In an embodiment, a microcontroller connected to the sensor for receiving and processing the information. The microcontroller receives information from sensor and processes on it. It compares the received data with the threshold level set and accordingly output is generated. The LPC2131/32/34//38 microcontrollers are based on a 16/32-bit ARM7TDMI-S CPU with real-time emulation and embedded trace support, that combine the microcontroller with 32 kB, 64 kB, 128 kB, 256 kB and 512 kB of embedded high-speed flash memory.A128-bit wide memory interface and unique accelerator architecture enable 32-bit code execution at maximum clock rate.

In another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method for detecting the nearby trash and inspires the people to throw garbage into the intelligent bin. The method comprising the steps of :

a) Activating the detecting unit by switching on the power supply followed by transmitting the ultrasonic wave by the plurality of sensor and receiving the reflected wave from the nearby object;
b) Detecting the garbage thrown to nearby the bin by said sensor receive through followed by transmitting the signal to control unit starts process the actuating the opening of lid of said bin and generating an alarm;
c) Alerting and inspiring a person nearby by generating a sound alert/ instruction /request for through the garbage into the bin and disposing the trash into the bin stop the sound alert.

,CLAIMS:I claim:

1. An intelligent bin for detect the nearby trash and inspires the people to throw garbage into the bin comprising:

a) a bin body having space for disposing garbage comprising a top end and bottom end where the top end of bin body covered with a lid having opening for disposing garbage;
b) a detection unit arranged on the bin body, configured to detect the nearby trash, comprising plurality of ultrasonic sensor having a pair of opening for adapting a transmitter and a receiver where said transmitter configured to transmit a high-frequency sound pulse and said receiver configured to receives the echo of the sound to reflect back;
c) a controller unit connected with said detection unit, configured to receive the signal from the detection unit where said controller unit comprises a memory and a processor to process for comparing the received signal to a threshold value for thrash stored in the memory and generate an output signal;
d) Actuator unit configured to open/close the opening of lid for disposing garbage and loading/ unloading garbage, comprises a linear actuator connected with the controlled unit and automatically open the lid on receiving the signal from said controller unit on detecting the signal from the from said sensor module and a hydraulic actuator to hold the bin for loading and unloading the garbage bin;
e) an alarm unit configured to raise an alert on detection of trash nearby, connected and control by the controller unit and configured to receive the output signal from signal from controller unit and stopping the sound alert on throwing the garbage into the bin;
f) power supply unit comprises a battery, connected with said detection unit, controller unit and actuator unit and the alarm unit for supplying power for functioning; and wherein the said bin generate an sound alarm/ sound instruction/ request sound on detecting the trash thrown by the people nearby to the said dustbin.

2) The bin as claim in claim 1 wherein the memory of the control unit store the sound instruction/ request.

3) The bin as claimed in claim 1, wherein the bin comprises an LED indicator connected with the said battery indicating the turn on and turn off situation of the intelligent bin.

4) The bin as claimed in a claim 1 wherein the controller unit process from received signal for activating the alarm unit for generating the sound alert/sound alarm/ instruction.

5) The bin a claimed in claim 1, wherein the controller unit comprises a programmed instruction to process for comparing the threshold value.

6) The bin as claimed in a claim 1, wherein the hydraulic actuators load and unload the bin in the municipal vehicle.

7) The bin as claimed in claim 1, wherein to close the lid of the bin in a power saver method.

8) The bin as claimed in claim 1, wherein the bin comprises a switch to turn on and turn off the power supply unit.

9) The bin as claimed in claim 1, wherein the linear actuator driven by the controller unit to control the movement of lid for closing /opening.

10) A method for detecting the nearby trash and inspires the people to throw garbage into the intelligent bin as claimed in claim 1, comprising the steps of :

a) Activating the detecting unit by switching on the power supply followed by transmitting the ultrasonic wave by the plurality of sensor and receiving the reflected wave from the nearby object;
b) Detecting the garbage thrown to nearby the bin by said sensor receive through followed by transmitting the signal to control unit starts process the actuating the opening of lid of said bin and generating an alarm;
c) Alerting and inspiring a person nearby by generating a sound alert/ instruction /request for through the garbage into the bin and disposing the trash into the bin stop the sound alert.
