Abstract: ABSTRACT TITLE: INTERLOCKING MECHANISM FOR ALIGNING TRANSMISSION TO HYDRAULICS BY MEANS OF DOWEL PINS DISPOSED THEREBETWEEN. Interlocking mechanism for aligning a transmission assembly (T) to hydraulics (B) by means of by means of a plurality of dowel pins (D) fixed therebetween and having one end (C1) thereof fixed in respective holes (H) on the transmission assembly (T) and other end (C2) thereof having predefined projections for fixing into respective holes (h) in hydraulics (B), said interlocking mechanism comprising: dowel pin sensing dolly (12) with proximity sensor to sense number of correctly projected dowel pins and to transmit this number to counter (14) with controller to compare with a predefined number of dowel pins and on accurate matching thereof, said counter actuating a solenoid valve to open an automatic on/off valve (40) to supply compressed air to said number punching head (18) for subsequent number punching operation; or on detecting a mis-match thereof, said counter (14) sounding alarm/buzzer, and keeping valve (40) closed to prevent supply of compressed air to number punching head (18) for withholding subsequent number punching operation. FIGURE 3.
Claims:We claim:
1. An interlocking mechanism for aligning transmission assembly (T) to hydraulics (B) by plurality of dowel pins (D) fixed therebetween, said dowel pins (D) each having one end (C1 or C2) thereof fixed in a respective hole (H) provided on said transmission assembly (T) and the other end (C2) thereof protruding out with a predefined projection to be fixed into a respective corresponding hole (h) in said hydraulics (B) for assembly therewith.
2. Interlocking mechanism as claimed in claim 1, said interlocking mechanism comprises:
• said transmission assembly (T) with a predefined location (L) for number punching thereon; said transmission assembly having a variable transmission mounting (P1) and a top plate mounting (P2) with a plurality of holes (H) provided thereon for engaging one end (C1) of a respective dowel pin (D) therein;
• said hydraulics (B) having a corresponding number of holes (h) for engaging the other end (C2) of the respective dowel pins (D) therein;
• a dowel pin sensing dolly (12) with a proximity sensor for detecting number of dowel pins (D) fixed in said holes (H) on said transmission assembly (T) by sensing respective projections of said dowel pins;
• a counter (14) having:
(i) a display (20) for showing of number of sensed dowel pins (D) with predefined projection and present on said transmission assembly (T),
(ii) a plurality of indicators (O, I, R, C) for indicating output (O), input (I), reset input (R) and common (C) respectively, said output indicator (O) connected to said dolly (12),
(iii) an audio alarm/buzzer for sounding an alarm in the event of a deviation of any of said dowel pin projections from a predefined/preset projection;
• a sensor (16) for resetting said counter (12) connected to said reset input indicator (R);
• a number punching head (18) disposed opposite said predefined location (L) on said transmission assembly (T);
• an automatic pneumatic valve (30) connected between said number punching head (18) and said output indicator (O); and
• a compressed air inlet line (22) connected to said number punching head (18) via an automatic air supply on/off valve (40);
wherein a controller stores said predefined/preset number of dowel pins (D) fixed on said transmission assembly (T) and a predefined/preset targeted dowel pin projection.

Interlocking mechanism as claimed in claim 2, wherein said controller compares respective projections of dowel pins (D) captured by said dolly (12) and actuates said number punching head (18) by supplying compressed air through said on/off valve (40) to said number punching head (18) for subsequent assembly to said hydraulics, depending on matching of said sensed number of dowel pins and said captured projections of each of said dowel pins (D) with said predefined/preset number and projection of dowel pins.

Interlocking mechanism as claimed in claim 2, wherein said controller is configured in said counter (14) to display the number of dowel pins and the respective projections captured by the proximity sensor of said dowel pin sensing dolly (12) and on matching of said sensed number and captured projections with predefined/preset values thereof, actuates a solenoid valve to open said on/off valve (40) for supplying compressed air to said number punching head (18) for subsequent number punching operation.
5. Interlocking mechanism as claimed in claim 2, wherein said counter (14) sounds an alarm/buzzer on detecting a mis-match of said sensed number and captured projections with predefined/preset values thereof, and thereby keeps said automatic on/off valve (40) closed to stop supplying compressed air to said number punching head (18) for preventing subsequent number punching operation.
6. Interlocking mechanism as claimed in claim 1, wherein said transmission assembly (T) and said hydraulics (B) are aligned by means of four dowel pins (D) fixed therebetween.

Interlocking mechanism as claimed in claim 1, wherein said transmission assembly (T) comprises two dowel pins (D) each on the adapter plate (P1) and top plate (P2), with one end (C1) thereof fixed in said holes (H) and having a predefined/preset projection above said adapter plate (P1) and top plate (P2) for aligning with said hydraulics (B).

Interlocking mechanism as claimed in claim 2, wherein said dowel pin sensing dolly (12) comprises a proximity sensor to sense the correct projections of said dowel pins (D) protruding above said transmission assembly (T) and to transmit the captured correct projections thereof to said counter (14) for counting said correctly projected dowel pins (D) by said controller, on said controller counting four correctly projected dowel pins, said counter actuates a solenoid valve to open said on/off valve (40) for supplying compressed air to said number punching head (18) for subsequent number punching operation.

Interlocking mechanism as claimed in claim 2, wherein said counter (14) sounds an alarm/buzzer on counting less than four correctly projected dowel pins, and thereby keeps said automatic on/off valve (40) closed to stop supplying compressed air to said number punching head (18) for preventing subsequent number punching operation.
10. Interlocking mechanism as claimed in claim 1, said mechanism comprises:
• said transmission assembly (T) having a variable transmission mounting (P1) and a top plate mounting (P2) with two holes (H) each for engaging one end (C1) of said respective dowel pins (D) therein;
• said hydraulics (B) also having four corresponding holes (h) for engaging other end (C2) of said respective dowel pins (D) therein;
• a dowel pin sensing dolly (12) with a proximity sensor to sense the correct projections of said dowel pins (D) protruding above said transmission assembly (T) and to transmit the number of dowel pins captured with said correct projections to a counter (14);
• said counter (14) having a controller storing a predefined number of dowel pins (D) compares said captured number of dowel pins with correct projections and on accurate matching thereof, said counter actuates a solenoid valve to open said on/off valve (40) for supplying compressed air to said number punching head (18) for subsequent number punching operation; or
• on detecting a mis-match of said predefined number of dowel pins (D) with said captured number of dowel pins with correct projections, said counter (14) sounds an alarm/buzzer, and keeps said automatic on/off valve (40) closed to prevent supply of compressed air to said number punching head (18) for withholding subsequent number punching operation.
