Internal Combustion Engine Having Variable Stroke

Abstract: The invention relates to an internal combustion engine, comprising at least one piston (2) guided in a cylinder (1) and comprising a connecting rod (3) between the piston (2) and a crankshaft (4), which comprises a crank pin (9) disposed between two crank webs (7, 8) and comprises an eccentric (6) as a bearing journal for the connecting rod (3), the eccentric being rotatably mounted on the crank pin (9) and being rotationally adjustable by means of a setting drive (10) disposed on the crankshaft (4), wherein the setting drive (10) has a rotary piston (11), which can be hydraulically acted upon in opposite directions by means of a switchover valve and the shaft (12) of which is drivingly connected to the eccentric (6). According to the invention, in order to provide advantageous design conditions, the rotary piston (11) is mounted on the crank pin (9) in a crank web (7).
