The following specification particularly describes the nature of invention and the manner in which it has been fabricated.

BACKGROUND OF INVENTION;
The BS 3G 210 series wires and cables are used in various equipment and systems of Hawk Aircraft. These wires arid cables are procured from various countries. The procurement is taking more lead time and thereby the production of the Hawk aircraft is affected. Hence, it was decided to invent new equivalent wires and cables meeting the requirements of BS 3G 210 specification and to set up manufacturing facility in India.

OBJECTIVE OF INVENTION;
The main objective of the invention is to develop new equivalent SABS 3G 210 series wires and cables to replace the BS 3G 210 series wires and cables.This would reduce the lead time in procuring the cables and to increase the technology base of our country.

DETAIL DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION;
The imported BS 3G 210 series wires and cables are made based on the BS 3G 210 specification. The SABS 3G 210 series wires are made up of either Silver or Nickel plated copper/copper alloy and insulated with PTFE tape wrapped and sintered. The wires are twisted, braided and jacketed to form the cable. The wires are configured as single/ multicore cables along with Silver/Nickel plated copper wire braid protected with additional PTFE jacket. The sample wires and cables were manufactured through M/s Sanghvi Aerospace pvt.ltd, Ahmedabad as per the approved manufacturing process. Then, the sample wires and cables were checked for their parameters in line with specifications in coordination with the regulating authority.

Subsequently, the qualification tests were carried out to satisfaction. After the successful completion of the qualification testing, the qualification test reports were submitted to the certification agency. Further, the BS 3G 210 series wires and cables were cleared by the certifying agency for use on Hawk Aircraft.

Qualification Tests;
The newly invented SABS 3G 210 series wires and cables were checked as per the technical specification. The samples were subjected to various qualification tests such as insulation resistance, solderability, High voltage immersion, High voltage dry spark, De-lamination and shrinkage, Accelerated aging, Room temperature bend and flammability etc. and found satisfactory. Finally, the samples were checked and cleared by the regulating authorities.

CLAIMS:
1. The new SABS 3G 210 series wires and cables are equivalent to the existing BS 3G 210 wires and cables in Hawk Aircraft.
