Abstract: With development of economies, health has become a major issue and given paramount importance: This project introduces an Internet-of-Things-based health monitoring and management system, consisting of sensing, transportation, storage and application layers which have different functions. This system implements the health-monitoring and service-provision anywhere and anytime, and community-centered healthcare services. As we know that, Most IoT platforms have been developed in an effort to be universally applied to various services and applications. However, critical success factor of IoT is an explosion of demand for services. Therefore the goal will be achieved if services and applications reflect their characteristics for each use case. Hence we implemented an IoT platform based healthcare system titled IOT Based Health Care System for the Elderly. The proposed device provides a solution of measurement of body parameters like ECG, temperature, moisture, heart rate, fall detection. and location of tlje patients. The device collects the data from different sensors and the data is uploaded on cloud. The mobile application for the patient.and doctors contain a very simple GUI Interface for reading all the parameters in the mobile or anywhere in the world by using internet connectivity.
IOT BASED HEALTH CARE SYSTEM FOR THE ELDERLY
Introduction
It is a fact that elderly people forget their health check-ups to be carried out at regular intervals or
on emergency needs. This system will alert through messages personal information about their
health on mobile so they can check their historical health data any time. The best part of this
system is that it can be used by everyone and keep their health management easier than available
systems. Android application helps a person to access information anytime anywhere in the
mobile. This results in saving of time, energy and money of the user by getting early warnings of
health disorder.

temperature, moisture, heart rate, fall detection and location of the patients. The device collects the
data from different sensors and the data is uploaded on cloud. The mobile application for the
patient and doctors contain a very simple GUI Interface for reading all the parameters in the
mobile or anywhere in the world by using internet connectivity.
We are using.various sensors and modules for performing different type of functions and the cloyd
service is used for storing all the data in cloud. It provides security and facility of accessing all the
parameters at any time which is very useful for the doctors at the time of treatment. This system
also generates an alert when required.
