Specification

TECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The present invention relates to the field of hotel management system, and more particularly, the present invention relates to the system for online hotel check-in and check-out.
BACKGROUND ART

[0002] The following discussion of the background to the invention is intended to facilitate an understanding of the present invention. However, it should be appreciated that the discussion is not an acknowledgment or admission that any of the material referred to was published, known or part of the common general knowledge in any jurisdiction as at the priority date of the application.
[0003] One of the current methods that hotel owners or operators typically rely on to sell their rooms online is through online travel websites or agencies. In such an arrangement, guests who book hotel rooms through such online travel agencies will deal with such agencies to manage their bookings instead of dealing with the hotels directly. Once a successful booking is made, the relationship between the guest and the online travel agency through which the booking is made ceases. The next step is for the guest to arrive at the hotel on the day of check-in and go through the typical hotel check-in process.
[0004] The process for checking into a hotel has remained largely unchanged in the hospitality industry. After a guest arrives at the hotel, the guest will have to wait in line to be served or received by a hotel employee at the hotel reception. Thereafter, the guest will be required to produce the hotel booking confirmation issued by the online travel agency and be requested to fill in a registration form or card which requires the guest to provide personal information such as full name, date of birth, passport number, expiry date of passport, address of residence, contact number, contact email, etc. The guest is also required to produce his or her passport for identification and further verification. The hotel employee will also request credit card details from the guest and information on any room preferences that the guest may have. The hotel employee will then compile the information and documents provided and request for the guest's signature. Thereafter, the hotel employee will identify an available room and assign it to the guest, and the guest will be issued a room key accordingly.
[0005] The available hotel management systems are not economical, accurate and time efficient. Further, the available systems are not user friendly as these systems take time to respond. Some of the systems are not effectively used for remote locations. Also, the available systems are provided with the wrong information, which may mislead the users.
[0006] Following are some of the attempts made to develop an IOT based hotel management systems for online hotel check-in and check-out.
[0007] WO2018048352A1 discloses system and method for online hotel check-in and check-out that relates to a field of systems and methods for online hotel check- in and other related online services in the hospitality and related industries and in particular but not exclusively, to such systems and methods for online hotel check-in and check-out.
[0008] CN112598409A discloses a hotel intelligent payment method, device and equipment and storage medium that relate to the field of enterprise business travel hotel management, and in particular to a hotel smart payment method, device, equipment and storage medium.
[0009] JPH08147361A discloses automatically hotel check-in system that relates to for example related to the automation of the reception management of accepting accommodation of guests in the business such as hotels.
[0010] Although, there are a number of solutions in the form of hotel management systems, none of them are specially designed with an accurate information. Although, some of the prior existing solutions attempt to create a reliable and economical hotel management systems for online hotel check-in and check-out, but this solution fails to meet the user’s requirement. In the view of above prior art, it can be understood that many hotel management systems have been designed in an attempt to provide similar solution, however they are bulky, expensive, and inefficient.
[0011] In the light of foregoing, there is need for a hotel management system for online hotel check-in and check-out that overcomes problems prevalent in the prior art.

OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION

[0012] The principal object of the present invention is to overcome the disadvantages of the prior art by providing an IOT based hotel management system for online hotel check-in and check-out.
[0013] An object of the present invention is to provide an IOT based hotel management system, wherein the system is economical.
[0014] Another object of the present invention is to provide an IOT based hotel management system, wherein the system generates a check-in and check-out alert for a user.
[0015] Yet another object of the present invention is to provide an IOT based hotel management system, wherein the system is time efficient.
[0016] Yet another object of the present invention is to provide an IOT based hotel management system, wherein the system recommends the hotels for every user separately as per requirements.
[0017] Further object of the present invention is to provide an IOT based hotel management system, wherein the system is operated from a remote location.
