Abstract: ABSTRACT: Title: IoT Based Smart Digital Billboard The present disclosure proposes an IoT based smart digital billboard. The device comprises a remote storage, a base, a power supply module, a display screen panel, a safety box, and a camera. The IoT based smart digital billboard collects demographic data to enhance advertising strategies and seamlessly displays advertisements using IoT. Demographic data and statistics such as gender, age, etc., of viewers are tracked easily and allows the customer to evaluate the advertisement expenditure and return on investment. The proposed device is of low cost and easy to use and is optimised easily for different advertisements over the course of time.

We Claim:
1. An IoT based smart digital billboard system, comprising:
a remote storage configured to store advertisement data and demographic data of viewers;
a base configured to support said smart digital billboard;
a power supply module encapsulated in a stand tube positioned vertically on said base configured to supply power to said smart digital billboard;
a display screen panel mounted on said stand tube configured with artificial intelligence to select a strategic advertisement to be displayed from said advertisement data;
a safety box configured to enclose said display screen panel to protect the display screen;
a camera mounted on top of said display screen panel configured to capture demographic data of visitors and transmit said demographic data to said remote storage,
whereby said IoT based smart digital billboard collects demographic data to enhance advertising strategies and seamlessly displays advertisements using IoT.
2. The IoT based smart digital billboard as claimed in claim 1, wherein said advertisements are validated by an administrator according to government guidelines.
3. The IoT based smart digital billboard as claimed in claim 1, wherein said advertisements are displayed at various locations based upon customer’s preference and decisions taken by the algorithm.
4. The IoT based smart digital billboard as claimed in claim 1, wherein said advertisement data includes design of the advertisement in the form of an image or a video.
5. The IoT based smart digital billboard as claimed in claim 4, wherein said advertisement data is stored in the remote storage.
6. The IoT based smart digital billboard as claimed in claim 1, wherein said camera configured with artificial intelligence engine identifies the demographic details of the visitors.
7. The IoT based smart digital billboard as claimed in claim 6, wherein said demographic details include gender, age, facial photograph or the like.
8. The IoT based smart digital billboard as claimed in claim 1, wherein said smart digital billboard allows the customer to access said demographic details and statistics related to viewers of the advertisement.
9. A method to display advertisements on IoT based smart digital billboard, comprising;
publishing advertisement data into a remote storage after verifying credentials of the advertisement data;
releasing different advertisements from said advertisement data to different locations using an artificial intelligence algorithm;
displaying said advertisement data on said IoT based smart digital billboard based on the parameters set by said artificial intelligence algorithm;
capturing demographic data of viewers using camera of said digital billboard, and
identifying and storing said demographic data of viewers in said remote storage for improving strategic and seamless display of advertisements.
10. The method to display advertisements on IoT based smart digital billboard as claimed in claim 1, wherein said credentials include payments made by the customer. , Description:DESCRIPTION:
Field of the invention:
[0001] The present disclosure generally relates to the technical field of digital billboards, and in specific relates to an IoT based smart digital billboard that collects demographic data to enhance advertising strategies and seamlessly displays advertisements using IoT.
Background of the invention:
[0002] Billboard is a large advertising structure typically found in high traffic areas such as alongside busy roads, tourist areas, etc. Billboards are used to advertise various brands to people. In general, advertisements are posted on the billboards manually using various tools. However, the conventional method of posting advertisements on the billboards is very risky, since the person can fall off from the billboard.

[0003] Conventionally, digital billboards are used which are operated by an operator. This operator carries the data to be displayed on these digital billboards. The operator connects the advertisement data to a storage device and relays the advertisement content in cyclic mode on the display of the digital billboards. However, the requirement of the additional human resource i.e., an operator creates additional burden on maintaining the human resource thereby reducing the profits of the advertising agencies.

[0004] In general, digital billboards display the advertising content seamlessly upon the display screen to the people. These digital billboards occupy the same lacuna as traditional billboards. However, it is not possible to analyse the demographic details such as how many people have seen the advertisement, therefore increases the difficulty of calculating the return on investments of the customer.

[0005] Traditional digital billboards lack the capability of displaying advertisement content directly from the customer’s computer. It is very difficult to modify or update the advertisement without an additional third-party operator going back and forth to feed new advertisement data.

[0006] Therefore, there is a need to automatically display advertisements on digital billboards and enhance the performance of the digital billboards. There is a need to eliminate the need for an additional human resource to change the advertisements periodically. Such as system should possess the ability to release the advertisement content directly from the customer’s computer. There is a need to track demographic data and statistics such as gender, age, etc., of viewers and easily determine the advertisement expenditure and return on investment. There is a need to optimise the use of digital billboard for different advertisements over the course of time.
Objectives of the invention:
[0007] The primary objective of the invention is to provide an IoT based smart digital billboard that collects demographic data to enhance advertising strategies and seamlessly displays advertisements using IoT.

[0008] The other objective of the invention is to eliminate the need for an additional human resource and release the advertisement content directly from the customer’s computer.

[0009] Another objective of the invention is to track demographic data and statistics such as gender, age, etc., of viewers and easily determine the advertisement expenditure and return on investment.

[0013] In order to overcome the above deficiencies of the prior art, the present disclosure is to solve the technical problem to provide an IoT based smart digital billboard that collects demographic data to enhance advertising strategies and seamlessly displays advertisements using IoT.

[0014] According to an aspect, the invention provides an IoT based smart digital billboard. The system comprises a remote storage, a base, a power supply, a display screen panel, a safety box, and a camera. The IoT based smart digital billboard collects demographic data to enhance advertising strategies and seamlessly displays advertisements using IoT.

[0015] The remote storage is configured to store advertisement data and demographic data of the viewers. In specific, the advertisement data includes design of the advertisement in the form of an image or a video. In specific, the advertisements are validated by an administrator according to government guidelines. The base is configured to support the smart digital billboard. The power supply module encapsulated in a stand tube positioned vertically on the base is configured to supply power to the smart digital billboard.

The smart digital billboard allows the customer to access the demographic details and statistics related to viewers of the advertisement.

[0017] According to another aspect, a method to display advertisements on IoT based smart digital billboard comprises, publishing advertisement data into a remote storage after verifying credentials of the advertisement data. In specific, the credentials include payments made by the customer. Then, different advertisements from the advertisement data are released to different locations using an artificial intelligence algorithm. Later, the advertisement data on the IoT based smart digital billboard is displayed based on the parameters set by said artificial intelligence algorithm.

[0018] Then, demographic data of viewers is captured using camera of the digital billboard. Finally, the demographic data of the viewers is identified and stored in the remote storage to enhance strategic and seamless display of advertisements.

[0024] The present disclosure has been made with a view towards solving the problem with the prior art described above, and it is an object of the present invention to provide an IoT based smart digital billboard that collects demographic data to enhance advertising strategies and seamlessly displays advertisements using IoT.

[0025] According to an exemplary embodiment of the invention, FIG. 1 illustrates an IoT based smart digital billboard system 100. The system 100 comprises a remote storage 102 a base 104, a power supply module 106, a display screen panel 108, a safety box 110, and a camera 112. The IoT based smart digital billboard collects demographic data to enhance advertising strategies and seamlessly displays advertisements using IoT.

[0026] The remote storage 102 is configured to store advertisement data and demographic data of the viewers. In specific, the advertisements are validated by an administrator according to government guidelines. The advertisements are displayed at various locations based upon customer’s preference and decisions taken by the algorithm. The base 104 is configured to support the smart digital billboard 100. The power supply module 106 encapsulated in a stand tube positioned vertically on the base 104 is configured to supply power to the smart digital billboard 100. In specific, the advertisement data includes design of the advertisement in the form of an image or a video.

The camera 112 mounted on top of the display screen panel 103 is configured to capture demographic data of visitors and transmit the demographic data to the remote storage (not shown). In specific, the camera 112 is configured with artificial intelligence to identify the demographic details of the visitors. The demographic details include gender, age, facial photograph or the like. The smart digital billboard 100 allows the customer to access the demographic details and statistics related to viewers of the advertisement.

[0028] According to another exemplary embodiment of the invention, the method to display advertisements on IoT based smart digital billboard 200 comprises, firstly, at the step 202, advertisement data is published into a remote storage after verifying credentials of the advertisement data. In specific, the credentials include payments made by the customer. Then, at the step 204, different advertisements from the advertisement data are released to different locations using an artificial intelligence algorithm. Later, at the step 206, the advertisement data on said IoT based smart digital billboard is displayed based on the parameters set by said artificial intelligence algorithm.

[0029] Then, demographic data of viewers are captured using camera of the digital billboard, at the step 208. Finally, the demographic data of the viewers are identified and stored in the remote storage to enhance strategic and seamless display of advertisements, at the step 210.

[0030] According to another exemplary embodiment of the invention, FIG. 3 illustrates an end-to-end process flow 300. Once the advertisement content is finalized, the advertisement content is published into the advertisement company’s website. Various details of the advertisement content are submitted as per requirements of the advertisement company. Maximum expenditure budget is set by the customer and payment is verified by the advertisement company. Once the design is approved, the administrator of the advertisement company uploads the advertisement content into the remote storage (advertisement data cloud).

[0031] An AI based algorithm will decide the location of different advertisements to various display panels which are located at different locations. If a viewer watches the advertisement, the camera which is installed on top of the smart digital billboard will capture the photograph of the viewer. Artificial Intelligence identifies the gender, age, etc., of the viewer and stores in the remote storage for the customer to refer it in the future.

[0032] Numerous advantages of the present disclosure may be apparent from the discussion above. In accordance with the present disclosure, an IoT based smart digital billboard that collects demographic data to enhance advertising strategies and seamlessly displays advertisements using IoT. The need for an additional human resource is eliminated and advertisement content is directly released from the customer’s computer. Demographic data and statistics such as gender, age, etc., of viewers are tracked easily and allows the customer to evaluate the advertisement expenditure and return on investment. The proposed device is of low cost and easy to use and is optimised easily for different advertisements over the course of time.
