Iot Based Smart Luggage Security System

Abstract: Luggage is a place where the users can store items in transit. Since its inception, it has seen several style improvements. The baggage was conveniently transportable for any shift. Whenever the baggage had been upgraded, it improved its handling equipment, also became vulnerable to burglary, which then gave its users several problems. The luggage today is not compliant with people's present intellectual lives. A lot of baggage is clearing at airports and they are unaware of the restrictions on luggage. The key goal of that system is to make baggage safety user-friendly, sustainable, compact, inexpensive and effective. The luggage is built from inside to solve the above problems.

The following specification particularly describes the invention
and the manner in which it is to be performed

Field of Invention
The current invention pertains to the field of luggage protection techniques, more specifically to a smart security system for luggage that employs a long-range radio. Multilevel security device for luggage bags that provides storage space for carrying a user's personal belongings while traveling from one place to another and also ensures multilevel security of the belongings carried by the users from unusual burglary/theft activities is the subject of this invention. The security of one's belongings is critical when using public transportation. Traditionally, a chain-lock and key were used. However, that security mechanism regularly failed, causing people to lose their precious possessions. And insecurity is the major reason why people in India hesitate to utilize public transportation such as buses, trains, metros, trams, and so on. If the problem of insecurity is resolved, people will be able to move freely in public transportation as well as in personal cars, increasing people's quality of life and, ultimately, resolving the threat of long traffic jams and air pollution.

Background of Invention
The safety of one's luggage is critical when using public transportation. Chain-lock and key have long been the standard method. However, the security system had malfunctioned, causing many individuals to lose their most valued possessions. People in India are reluctant to use public transportation, such as buses, trains, metros, and trams, due to a fear of being attacked or robbed. It follows that this issue must be addressed. Luggage locking mechanism with an electronic communication system that allows interactions with other sensor modules in the luggage, external smart devices and airline transport systems to build a unified baggage management system. The current innovation, however, makes no mention of security. Locker device with locking/unlocking means for items such as hand baggage and a fastening member that can be passed through a luggage item, with one end or the operative end of said fastening member being secured to the locking/unlocking means. However, the structure of this invention differs from that of the previously disclosed innovation. Covering for a baggage lock that protects the lock from harm while also shielding the luggage from damage caused by the lock. The current innovation, on the other hand, is structurally and functionally completely distinct from prior art.

Summary of Invention
The current invention pertains to a multilayer security mechanism for baggage bags designed to restrict access to only authorized users in order to enhance the safety of the luggage bag while the user is traveling. Long-range radio is used in the present invention to create a smart baggage security system. Long-range communication and internet connectivity are used to create a real¬time baggage security system in the present invention. Data transmission equipment for long-range radio frequency to internet communication of baggage information. The luggage's real-time notifications may be sent via an ESP 32 module-based data transmission device. Another use of the smartphone app is to show.the current position of luggage in real time. In another aspect of the present invention, the device includes a sensing unit integrated with the controller and mapped over the bag for recognizing odd vibrations when using the baggage bag, wherein the controller identifies actions as abnormal.

Detailed Description of Invention
It will now be explained in depth how some implementations of this disclosure illustrate all of its aspects. The technique presented here helps keep bags safe from thieves. The current invention offers a cutting-edge baggage security system that uses minimal energy. Carry-on mode, data transmission unit, cloud server, and mobile application make up the present invention. A different version of the baggage mote includes a Wi-Fi module for transmitting data over long distances, a display unit with a GPS sensor, a reed switch, and a battery power source. Another version uses batteries to power the luggage's gadgets, making it possible to use a low power consumption frequency for transmitting luggage-related data in real time and with confidence using GPS sensory data. Using a GPS (Global Positioning System) sensor, the position of luggage may be tracked and identified in a different manner. The information is logged onto the cloud server through the internet in another implementation that utilizes the ESP 32 module. Another solution uses a smartphone application to show the position of baggage in real time, as well as other luggage behaviours, which can be observed online. Figure 1 shows the invention's block diagram, which shows the baggage mode, a cloud server for transmitting data, and a mobile application.

Detailed Description of Drawings
(1) Figure (i) shows the Block Diagram
(2) Figure (ii) shows the Micro Controller
Arduino is an open-source platform used for building electronics projects. Arduino consists of both a physical programmable circuit board (often referred to as a microcontroller) and a piece of software, or IDE (Integrated Development Environment) that runs on your computer, used to write and upload computer code to the physical board.
(3) Figure (iii) shows the Battery
A battery is a device consisting of one or more electrochemical cells with external connections for powering electrical devices such as flashlights, mobile phones, and electric cars. When a battery is supplying electric power, its positive terminal is the cathode and its negative terminal is the anode.
(4) Figure (iv) shows the GPS
The Global Positioning System (GPS) is made up of satellites, ground stations, and receivers. GPS is a system. It's made up of three parts: satellites, ground stations, and receivers. Once the receiver calculates its distance from four or more satellites, it knows exactly where you
are.
(5) Figure (v) shows the Wi-Fi
The ESP8266 can be operated through the internet (with the port shipping) from your local Wi-Fi network. The ESP-01 has GPIO pins, which can be programmed by the Internet to transform an LED or a relay ON / OFF. The module can be programmed by means of serial pins (RX, TX), using an Arduino / USB- to-TTL converter.
(6) Figure (vi) shows the Buzzer
An audio signalling unit is the buzzer or beeper that may be electronic, electromechanical or piezoelectric. Alarm systems, temporaries are common implementations of buzzers and beepers.

Different Embodiment of Invention
1. The system comprises a first GPS transmitter for transmitting information about the position of a first tag to multiple GPS satellites. The constellation of GPS satellites may comprise medium-earth orbit satellites that send messages to and from the GPS satellite constellation as a whole. GPS satellites gather data from GPS transmitters on the location, speed, and direction of the first tag at a particular moment and transmit the data to a tracking station via a network, such as the Internet.
2. Protect the system from elements like rain, snow, and dust to extend its life expectancy and functioning capabilities. The functioning components of the first tag can be protected from interactions with the environment and from tampering by being encased in a waterproof and shock-proof shell.
3. A battery compartment might be included in the system. To avoid accidental deactivation, the battery compartment should include a tamper-proof lock.

Application of Invention
(1) When traveling by rail, there's no need to haul along heavy steel chains.
(2) Unless the owner turns off the powerful magnetic field, no one can lift the bag.
(3) There is too much noise on the train for a bag with beep sound sensors to operate properly, but the current invention still works even if you sleep or leave the bag unattended for a short period of time, allowing you total freedom to roam around while traveling.
(4) It's a simple mechanism that anyone may have permanently installed in their baggage bag.
(5) The battery has a run duration of up to 10 hours, is rechargeable, and the system continues to function while the battery is being charged.

We Claim
The above invention of IoT Based Smart Luggage Security System Comprises of: -
(1) Advanced luggage security system with a controller, GPS (Global Positioning System), LCD screen and battery power supply, mobile phone, gateway with internet and cloud-based mobile application for pinpointing the position of the bag.
(2) This technology claims that if the luggage bag is out of range for a long time, GPS position data will be sent to a cloud server, from which a mobile app may display the luggage's current location.
(3) This claims that the cloud server connection helps the owner of the baggage bag to quickly identify the bag.
