Transmission-Movement Kinematic link for Auxiliary Modular Devices
FIELD OF INVENTION
[001] The present invention relates to modular devices, more particularly, the present invention relates to kinematic for auxiliary modular devices, such as overvoltage, under-voltage and shunt trip, using such kinematic.
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
[002] The known auxiliary modular devices in the art, such as those for shunt-trip, under-voltage and over-voltage use one dedicated kinematic for allowing each of their operation. In some solutions kinematic is also used for performing an indication action. In each auxiliary device (shunt-trip, under-voltage and over-voltage) the kinematic is coupled with an "active component", useful for allowing the device to perforin its particular function. Relays and coils are the examples of such active component. A relay may be used for various under-voltage devices, and a coil with a dedicated electronic board may be used for shunt-trip and over-voltage devices.
[003] A common drawback of the auxiliary devices is that each modular device has to be designed with its specific components for its own kinematic. This implies that different production machines, moulds and procedures would be required for each modular device. Therefore, this gives rise to the need of a quite complex storehouse management and hence mass cost reduction may not be possible to achieve.
[004] A novel auxiliary modular device is therefore required for eliminating the drawbacks of prior art and the same is disclosed as follows.

OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
[005] It is an object of the present invention to provide a transmission-movement kinematic mechanism that can be easily mounted in ail types of auxiliary devices including the shunt trip, under voltage, and over-voltage auxiliary devices.
[006] It is a further object of the present invention to provide a transmission-movement kinematic mechanism for auxiliary modular devices such as, shunt-trip, under-voltage and over-voltage provided by the novel kinematic.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
According to the present invention there is provides a transmission-movement kinematic mechanism for auxiliary modular devices kinematic, the kinematic link includes a first link, a second link, a pin, a connecting spring and a indicator flag. The second link is connected to the first link. The pin is connected to the second link. Upon operates the first link the second link operates to connects the pin with a coil to close the circuit and opens to trip in case of overvoltage, under voltage, shunt trip and the like. The connecting spring is in contact with the first link for resorting trip condition. The indicator flag is connected to the second link for indicating the status of the device.

[0014] Fig. 7 and Fig. 8 show the kinematic being applied to an over-voltage device in two different operating conditions.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0015] Disclosed herein is a kinematic for auxiliary devices. The kinematic comprises a transmission-movement kinematic mechanism and a trip-indicator kinematic mechanism having an indicator flag. The operating connection between the transmission-movement kinematic mechanism and the trip-indicator kinematic mechanism are made by a lever which can further engage with another lever for allowing the indicator flag to be moved in a visible position for determining any fault.
[0016] Referring now to Figs. 4, 5, 7 and 8, various views of a transmission-movement kinematic mechanism and a trip-indicator kinematic link in accordance with the present invention are shown. Specifically. Fig. 3 shows a comprehensive view of the transmission-movement kinematic mechanism and the trip-indicator kinematic mechanism according to the present invention. In an embodiment, the transmission-movement kinematic includes, first link (not numbered), a second link (not numbered), a pin 10, a connecting spring 15 and an indicator flag 3. The first link is operated manual to close the circuit. Upon operating the first link, the second link operates and moves the pin 10 to connect with a coil 2 to close the circuit. Simultaneously, the indicator flag is moved by the second link to indicate status of the auxiliary device. In an embodiment, the coil 2 is a Perpendicular Magnetic Recording (PMR).
[0017] Referring now to figures I, 2 and 3, the first link includes a drum Al, a first lever A2, a hook A3, a triple lever A4, and a second lever A5. The drum Al having a handle for operating the drum A1 manually. The hook A3 is connected to the first lever A2 and disposed over the first axis A5. Upon operating the drum Al, the hook A3 moves, thereby moving the second lever A6 disposed on the second axis A5a and rotatable there around. A spring A8 is disposed on the second axis and over the second lever A6. The triple lever A4 is mounted on the first axis A5 and the second axis A5a. The tripe lever A4 operates on operating the hook A3.

[0018] Referring again to figures 2, 3 and 4 the second Sink includes a first lever B1, a second lever B2, a third lever B3, a fourth lever B4. a fifth lever B5, and a third axis B9. The first lever Bl operates upon operating the first link. Specifically, the first lever B1 operates on operating the second lever A6 of the first link. Similar to the first link, the second lever B2, the third lever B3, the fourth lever B4, and the fifth lever B5 are secured with each other sequentially and also operate sequentially. The fourth lever B4 is mounted on third axis B9 for rotating therearound. The fifth lever B5 and a spring B6 are connected to the pin 10. The pin 10 connected with the coil 2 on operating the fifth lever B5 of the second link through the first link. Once the pin 10 is connected with the coil 2, the pin 10 disconnects to trip the device on overvoltage, under voltage, shunt trip and the like. In an embodiment, the pin 10 once connected with the coii2 does not disconnect even on operating the drum. In connected condition, if the drum is manually rotated, only the first link operates without affecting the position of the second link.
[0019] Comprehensive view of both mechanisms i.e. A and B are shown in Fig. 3 as they appear in any auxiliary devices, no matter if they are shunt-trip, under-voltage or over-voltage.
[0020] Fig. 4 shows the OFF condition of the transmission-movement kinematic mechanism and trip-indicator kinematic mechanism according to the present invention.
[0021] Fig. 5 shows the ON condition of the transmission-movement kinematic mechanism and trip-indicator kinematic mechanism according to the present invention.

[0022] Fig. 6 shows an example of the application of the transmission-movement kinematic mechanism for an auxiliary device such as an under voltage modular device. Detailed view of the auxiliary devices having the new kinematic are shown in Fig. 6 for under-voltage device.
[0023] Fig. 7 and Fig. 8 show examples of the application of the transmission-movement kinematic mechanism of the present invention to an auxiliary device such as an over voltage modular device. These figures (Fig. 7 and Fig. 8) show the transmission-movement kinematic mechanism being applied to an over-voltage device in two different operating conditions. The application of the transmission-movement kinematic mechanism on a shunt-trip is similar to that of the over-voltage modular device. The only difference is that an electronic board is equipped on the over-voltage device and not on the shunt trip auxiliary device.
[0024] In one embodiment herein the indicator flag 3 is in the same position for both operating conditions which are the ON condition and the OFF condition. This is to indicate a "READY" condition.
[0025] As per the present invention the user acts indirectly on the drum A1 by means of the MCB handle connected. The drum A1 in turn drives the transmission-movement kinematic mechanism in case of an under-voltage device. The motion is the same for the over-voltage and shunt-trip devices.
[0026] The lever B5 is basically the ending portion of the active component. Ending portion of lever B5 is identical for all the cases including the under-voltage device, a shunt-trip, and over-voltage auxiliary device.
[0027] During the ON-OFF switching by user action on MCB handle, the READY condition would already be reached and the lever B4 would be engaged

in lever B5. Here, the second group or the kinematic B would be completely in fixed position and no fault signal would be generated.
[0028] Further, the movement of the drum Al causes the movement of the lever A2, the hook A3, the triple lever A4 and the lever A6. but does not affect the movement of flag 3.
[0029] Furthermore, the ending portion of lever B5 is directed to the active component of the device, i.e. the relay 2 for the under-voltage. The active component for both over-voltage and shunt-trip auxiliary device is coil 20. The ending portion of lever B5 has the same shape and function (that is to engage the end of lever B4) for all the types of the auxiliary devices.
[0030] Referring again to Fig. 7 and Fig. 8, the lever B5 has a linear shape and engages with pin 100 of the coil 20. For the sake of brevity rest of the elements are not described.

[003 1] Fig. 7 shows the device in ON and in READY condition. Fig. 8 shows the same device after tripping.
[0032] Another difference between the under-voltage device, the over-voltage and shunt trip devices is that in the over-voltage and shunt trip devices there is provided a connecting spring 15 which is in contact with the electric terminal 16 and with the coil 20 itself.
[0033] After tripping (as explained in Fig. 8 above) the connecting spring 15 releases contact with coil 20 and opens the circuit. The way of operation of kinematic A, and kinematic B during tripping is substantially the same in the case of the under-voltage device since the movement of the kinematic A+B is substantially the same.

[0034] A further difference is that the over-voltage and the shunt-trip device are provided with an arm )8 which engages with the spring 15 and with the lever Bl.
[0035] It should be understood that the present invention is not to be limited by the exact details of the illustrated embodiment. However it is to be taken as tne preferred example of the invention and that various changes may be resorted to by a person skilled in the art without departing from the spirit of the invention or the scope of below mentioned claims. Also, the terminologies used herein are for the purpose of description and should not be regarded as limiting.
