Specification

The present disclosure relates to the field of motor control centre
(MCC) switchboard. More particularly the present disclosure relates to a kit assembly adapted to be configured with an open-door motor control centre (MCC) switchboard for facilitating a closed-door operation.
BACKGROUND
[0002] Background description includes information that may be useful in
understanding the present invention. It is not an admission that any of the
information provided herein is prior art or relevant to the presently claimed
invention, or that any publication specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art.
[0003] Motor control centre (MCC) switchboard are offered in fixed and
draw out modules/feeder in the market. MCC switchboard with draw out
modules/feeder's arrangement are offered in open door operation and closed-door
operation. Closed door operation offers more safety to operator than open door.
Presently the closed door is achieved in a type of module where a contact is moved
to engage and disengage with contact. In open door, whole module is moved to
engage or disengage with contact. Conventional closed door, to facilitate contact
movement, flexible conductors are used which are costly solutions, as well as it
affects the thermal performance. Presently in open door module operations (Rack
out between Isolate-Test-Service) are done with its door opened condition. This
puts the operator at high life risk when done in door opened condition.
[0004] There is, therefore, a need of an improved system for MCC
switchboard that allow draw out operation of a movable module when a door of the switchboard is closed, at a reduced cost.
OBJECTS OF THE PRESENT DISCLOSURE
