Abstract: KRISHNA FINGER MOBILIZER can be used by physiotherapist and patient himself to treat the hand stiffness. A single device can be effectively used for treating multiple patients. KRISHNA FINGER MOBILIZER device also helps to keep the joint moving, prevents contracture, retains range of motion, thus helping patient to get back to their functional activities early. It leads to early recovery and readiness for functional movements. Range of motion can be measured and recorded on it and It also gives bio-feedback to the patient, it is time saving and a cheaper device.
CLIAMS:1. We can use this device for finger mobilization. It can be use by patient himself. Range of motion can be measured and noted. It also gives bio-feedback to the patient.
Possibilities of modification-
i. Pneumatic control device.
ii. Electric device.
iii. Inter-phalangeal mobilization

3.PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION
PROVISIONAL
N / A COMPLETE
The following Specification particularly describes the nature of this invention and the manner in which it is to be performed :
4. TECHINICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to medical sciences and more particularly to the field of physiotherapy. This invention is directed towards treatment of post-operative stiffness of fingers. This device is capable of imparting the desired amount of prolong force and movement to the metacarpophalangeal joints to mobilize the finger joints.
5. BACKGROUND
Mobilization is an art of imparting movement actively or passively to a joint or soft tissue. Passive joint mobilization is under taken by passive movements of a skeletal joint. It is usually aimed at a target synovial joint with the aim of achieving a therapeutic effect. It refers to manual therapy technique.
Nowadays hand injuries are common and post-operative joint stiffness is also a common problem faced by the patient. At present there is no device to mobilize the stiff or contracted finger joint and to improve its range of movements. Conventionally manual mobilization is used for improving the range of motion of fingers and overcome stiffness; so far there is no mechanical device to mobilize the fingers to improve restricted/ contracted range of motion.
Drawbacks in Existing state of the art:
1. Can’t be self-applied by the patient.
2. Patient needs to visit clinic so, it is time consuming and costly.
3. Difficulties in measuring range of motion.
4. Mobilization not under patient’s control.
To bridge this gap a device to mobilize the fingers called KRISHNA FINGER MOBILIZER is prepared for stiff fingers.
6.SUMMARY
Hence the present innovative device of KRISHNA FINGER MOBILIZER is invented.
Working of device: The metacarpal hand band is applied over metacarpals and fixed with nylon metacarpal strap. Phalangeal plates are put on and fixed with nylon finger straps. By tightening the vertical screws fingers can be moved down till patient can tolerate. We can maintain it for prolonged duration for stretching the fingers. Thus we can improve the range of motion in stiff joints and also relive contractures by stretching the fingers.
KRISHNA FINGER MOBILIZER can be used by physiotherapist and patient himself to treat the hand stiffness.
The said invention overcomes the above mentioned drawbacks in the following way:
1. It can be self-applied.
2. It is portable.
3. It can be used at anytime, anywhere.
4. Therapist is not required for finger mobilization.
5. Mobilization is under the patient’s control.
Advantages:
• This device helps to keep the joint moving, it prevents contracture, retains range of motion, thus helping patient to get back to his/her functional activities.
• Early recovery makes the patient ready to do functional movements.
• Range of motion can be measured and recorded by using range of motion scale which is easy to use.
• It gives bio-feedback to the patient.
• It saves time.
• Economical hence affordable to the patients.

Fig. 2 shows front view of KRISHNA FINGER MOBILIZER showing how the instrument will look after putting it on.
Fig. 3 shows side view of KRISHNA FINGER MOBILIZER showing application of the instrument.
Fig. 4 shows the range of motion measuring scale view - showing its parts.
8.DETAILS DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS:
Figure no. 1-Top view KRISHNA FINGER MOBILIZER showing components of instruments- these are (1, 2, 3,4,5,6 and 7):
(1) Vertical screws- they are four in numbers and are used to mobilize the fingers.
(2) Metacarpal band - to stabilize the device on hand.
(3) Interconnecting rod- it interconnects the phalangeal plates.
(4) Nylon metacarpal strap- to fix the metacarpal band on hand.
(5) Nylon finger straps- they are 4 in numbers which are used to fix the phalangeal plates to the fingers.
(6) Phalangeal plates- they are 4 in numbers which are used to fix and stabilize the proximal phalanges.
(7) Ethaphlex pads- are for padding and preventing friction of hand on the metal surface.
Figure no. 2 - Front view of KRISHNA FINGER MOBILIZER in neutral position- it shows how the instrument will look after putting it on and mainly vertical screws (1) and phalangeal plates (6).
Figure no. 3 shows Side view of KRISHNA FINGER MOBILIZER in flex position. It shows the application of the instrument and mainly metacarpal band (2), straps (4) and nylon finger straps (5).
Figure no. 4 shows the Range of motion measuring scale view as well as, it shows the parts of it mainly components of (8) Range of motion measuring scale- for measuring range of motion of fingers,( 9) Pointer- indicating range of motion of finger, (10) Reference point- helps the pointer to note the range of motion.
9.I claim
1. We can use this device for finger mobilization. It can be use by patient himself. Range of motion can be measured and noted. It also gives bio-feedback to the patient.
Possibilities of modification-
i. Pneumatic control device.
