Specification

DISCRIPTION
TECHNICAL FIELD
[01] The present disclosure generally relates to the field of washing machine motor laminations. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to a lamination for adjusting a flux path of a washing machine motor.

BACKGROUND

[02] Generally different types of motors are used in the washing machines to make it work efficiently. Using aluminum wire windings in the motor, the required slot area will be more and this will reduce the core depth for magnetic flux path. In order to minimize this problem generally the height of the stack is raised to recompense the flux path thereby the performance of aluminum wire windings will be similar to that of copper windings.

[03] In the light of aforementioned discussion there exists a need of a lamination for adjusting a flux path of washing machine motor.

BRIEF SUMMARY

[04] The following presents a simplified summary of the disclosure in order to provide a basic understanding to the reader. This summary is not an extensive overview of the disclosure and it does not identify key/critical elements of the invention or delineate the scope of the invention. Its sole purpose is to present some concepts disclosed herein in a simplified form as a prelude to the more detailed description that is presented later.

[05] A more complete appreciation of the present invention and the scope thereof can be obtained from the accompanying drawings which are briefly summarized below and the following detailed description of the presently preferred embodiments.

[06] Exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure are directed towards a lamination for adjusting a flux path of washing machine motor. According to a first aspect, the lamination includes a plurality of rotor lamination slots arranged in a circular manner to receive rotor windings.

[07] According to the first aspect, the lamination includes a set of slots arranged at an upper side of the plurality of rotor lamination slots in a predetermined size for accommodating windings. The set of slots conFIG.d to accommodate at least one of an aluminium winding material and a copper winding material. The set of slots arranged in at least one of a smaller size and bigger size for accommodating windings. The set of slots arranged in a bigger size for accommodating double windings. Two or more set of slots arranged for accommodating the windings.

[08] According to the first aspect, the lamination includes a shaft hole situated at a center of the plurality of rotor lamination slots to receive the washing machine motor shaft.

[09] According to the first aspect, the lamination includes a set of ventilation holes arranged around the shaft hole in a predetermined distance to provide ventilation.

[010] According to the first aspect, the lamination includes a set of bolt holes placed at corners of a lamination for fixing to the washing machine motor through one or more bolts.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS

[011] Other objects and advantages of the present invention will become apparent to those skilled in the art upon reading the following detailed description of the preferred embodiments, in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, wherein like reference numerals have been used to designate like elements, and wherein:

[012] FIG.1 is a diagram illustrating a lamination design of a washing machine motor for aluminum winding in washing machine

DETAILED DESCRIPTION:

[013] It is to be understood that the present disclosure is not limited in its application to the details of construction and the arrangement of components set forth in the following description or illustrated in the drawings. The present disclosure is capable of other embodiments and of being practiced or of being carried out in various ways. Also, it is to be understood that the phraseology and terminology used herein is for the purpose of description and should not be regarded as limiting.

[014] The use of "including", "comprising" or "having" and variations thereof herein is meant to encompass the items listed thereafter and equivalents thereof as well as additional items. The terms "a" and "an" herein do not denote a limitation of quantity, but rather denote the presence of at least one of the referenced item. Further, the use of terms "first", "second", and "third", and the like, herein do not denote any order, quantity, or importance, but rather are used to distinguish one element from another.

[015] FIG. 1 is a diagram 100 illustrating a lamination design of a washing machine motor for adjusting a flux path. According to a non limiting exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, the lamination design may include a set of slots 102 and 104, multiple of rotor lamination slots 106, a shaft hole 108, ventilation holes 110 and bolt holes 112. The rotor lamination slots 106 are arranged in a circular manner to receive the rotor conductors. The set of slots 102 arranged at an upper side of the rotor lamination slots 106. These are smaller in size for accommodating single windings. Another set of slots 104 are arranged between the set of slots 102. These are bigger in size compared to the set of slots 102 for accommodating double windings. For convenience the present disclosure discusses about the lamination included the set of slots 102 and 104 to accommodate the windings. However, it should be understood that in practice there may be any number of slots arranged over a lamination respectively as similar as the set of slots 102 and 104. Therefore the present disclosure is not limited in the number of slots arranged over the lamination of washing machine motor respectively that may be included and/or supported with the disclosed embodiments.

[016] As shown in FIG. 1, the shaft hole 108 arranged at a center of the rotor lamination slots 106 for receive a shaft of the washing machine motor. The ventilation holes 110 are arranged around the shaft hole for providing ventilation into the washing machine motor. Further the lamination may include bolt holes 112 arranged at the corners of the lamination for fixing the lamination to the motor by using bolts.

[017] According to a non limiting exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, the lamination design may prefer in washing machines but not limited to the scope of the disclosure. The lamination design possesses an optimized lamination size in order to adjust the flux path with the outer profile of the washing machine motor. The lamination design with optimized lamination size can be provided with in the same washing machine motor covers. This change does not affect the fitment of motor in the washing machines. The lamination design of washing motor and spin motor is used for aluminum and copper winding the performance of aluminum winding motor is more efficient compared to the copper winding motor in washing machines.

[018] While specific embodiments of the disclosure have been shown and described in detail to illustrate the inventive principles, it will be understood that the disclosure may be embodied otherwise without departing from such principles.
