Abstract: Provided are a laser drive circuit a method for driving a laser and a device using laser light which are capable of reducing speckle noise due to the laser light being coherent light. In a laser drive circuit which generates laser drive currents for driving a plurality of laser sources that emit laser light with mutually different wavelengths on the basis of an input video signal the speckle noise due to the laser light being coherent light is reduced by superimposing a high frequency signal with a frequency beyond the band of the video signal onto a laser drive current generated on the basis of an input video signal.
