The present invention relates to pharmaceutical testing technology especially for laser inspection system for punches and dies in pharmaceutical machinery.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION :
As the name suggests the present invention is a Laser inspection system for punches & die in Pharmaceutical machinery. The inspection report will be more accurate, less costly and less time consuming one.
OBJECT OF PRESENT INVENTION :
The main objective of present invention is to provide a laser inspection system for punches & die which is more accurate.
The other objective of the present invention is to provide the results with in a short span of time.
The another objective of the present invention is to provide a laser inspection system for punches.
DETAILS OF THE INVENTION :
The present invention relates to a Laser inspection system for punches & Dies which is more accurate, provides the results in a less time and cost effective. The present invention equipment is consists with 1) Punch fixture V Block for measurement 2) Punch Setting Master (D Type) 3) Punch Setting Master, (B Type) 4) Die Fixture V Block for measurement 5)Die Setting Master (D Type) 6)Die Setting Master (B Type) 7) Die Setting Master (BB Type)

The present invention consists with the following equipments :-1) Punch Fixture V Block for measurement.
2) Punch Setting Master (D Type)
3) Punch Setting Master (B Type)
4) Die Fixture V Block for measurement-1 No.
5) Die Setting Master (D Type) 6)Die Setting Master (B Type) 7) Die Setting Master (BB Type)
ELECTRICAL POWER AND PNEUMATIC SUPPLY REQUIREMENT:
1) 230 ± 10 %V, 50 Hz., Single Phase power supply.
2) Current load: 1 Ampere Max
3) UPS provided to protect the software parts along with monitor.
4) If power fluctuation is there, then it is re-commanded that the standard voltage Stabilizer is incorporated.
5) Pneumatic supply should be provided : 2 Bar Max.
GENERAL CONNECTIONS
1) Connect the power supply to Main plug. ( Earthing must be provided ).
2) Connect the pneumatic supply to connector provided in back side of the machine.
3) ON the main ON/OFF Power switch provided in right side of the machine to ON the machine.

A - STARTUP
Turn ON the system
Start 'IWS v8.1 StartUp from desktop
Press on Login
Enter User Name & Password
B - Recipe Creation
Click on calibration
Fill all details
Click on select stored calibration recipe
Select upper punch recipe
Click on save upper punch recipe and clock on yes.
Do the same for lower punch and die
C - Recipe selection
Click on select recipe on home screen
Select product
Click on load recipe
Fill details
click on save inspection details and press ok
D - Inspection
click on start session
Click on Linear axis Enable and Rotary Axis Enable.
click on upper punch and click on ok
Click on homing
load master punch and mount tip side stopper
Press Mastering Button on screen.
press 'Cycle Start' when transverse slide stops.
Remove Master punch and load punch to be inspected.
click on keyence navigator button.
click on network connection
click on connect
click on program
select an empty slot

click on trigerring on
click on focus adjustment

35 On software screen click on IL Calibration.
36 The system will be ready when IL Calibration button turns green.
37 Click on Tool Para.
38 Load first punch.
39 Press 'Cycle Start'.
40 Punch will be rotated to accurate position.
41 When Camera turns green mount Tip side stopper and press 'Cycle Start'
42 The system will capture Total length and working length.
43 After the slide is stopped remove the tip side stopper and press 'Cycle Start'.
44 system will capture Barrel diameter, Tip sizes and concentricity.
45 Remove the punch after cycle is completed.
46 Load next punch and continue the process.
47 After all Upper punches are inspected press stop batch.
48 Repeat step 7 to 50 for lower punch.
49 select Die Start for Die inspection.
50 Load Master Die on Die V Block.
51 Press Mastering Button on screen.
52 Remove Master die.
53 Load Die which to be inspected.
54 Press 'Cycle Start'.
55 Remove the Die after cycle is completed.
56 Load next die and repeat the cycle.
57 After all Dies are inspected press stop batch.
58 Click on Fill Session Details
59 Fill the details
60 Click Update
61 Click on Stop Session.
62 All data will be saved now.

3 Enter Login - Password and press connect.
4 Click on Databases
5 Right Click on Tool Measurement
6 Go to Tasks - Backup.
7 Click on Add
8 In Select Backup Destination window click on Browse
9 Select Folder mentioned in SQL Backup Path in IQ
10 Enter Backup file name and press ok
11 Select Backup path added in previous steps and press ok
12 Press ok on acknowledgement window.
Q - Restore
1 Click on Start.
2 Start 'SQL Server Management Studio' from 'Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2'
3 Enter Login - Password and press connect.
4 Right Click on Databases and select restore Database
5 in 'To Database' select Tool Measurement
6 Select 'From Device' in 'Source for Restore'
7 Click on Browse
8 Click on Add
9 Select the Backup File and click OK
10 Click OK
11 Select restore path added in previous steps and click ok
12 Press ok on acknowledgement window.
A - STARTUP
1) Turn ON the system
2) Start ‘IWS v8.1 StartUp from desktop
3) Fill Details.
4) Select Security level.
5) Press OK.
USER INSRUCTIONS:
DO
1) Daily clean the overall fixture before Mastering and checking the tools.
2) Check the utility sources.
3) In every shift, do the Mastering before using system.
4) Switch off the PC in proper procedure after completion of daily checking.
5) Always keep the Master in the box with thin film of oil & keep them clean
DON’T
1) Do not keep the punches forcefully on fixture.
2) Do not damage the punch / die fixture.
3) Do not switch of the PC directly.
