TITLE OF INVENTION:
Leak checking adopter

FIELD OF THE INVENTION: This tool is used as an adopter for air leakage on
any (round /elliptical /spherical) shaped metal body which is exposed to
atmosphere while in motion or remain idle. A lot of units/ subassembly are used
in industry which required to be leak proof. During manufacturing of the unit, it is
10 leak testing is being done. This adaptor is used for this purpose.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Body with fairing is mounted in airplane and some area of it was exposed to outer
atmosphere 5 tended to leak during heavier atmospheric air pressure in motion of
airplane. Body leak was tested with air gun while applying air pressure in the body. As it
was not compact as some amount of air enters in the body and some amount of air was
splurge on the body not to fulfill our purpose. So it was decided to develop an adopter
whose one end is assembled with air gun and other end mounted/fixed with body to test
10 the air leakage. Now this air leakage adopter fulfill both the requirement together to
mount it with air gun and with body & after application of required air pressure helps to
find out leak in the air fairing body. This adopter will be used for general purpose also.

SUMMARY OF PRESENT INVENTION

In accordance with one aspect of Present invention is to provide facility to test the air leakage in
the circular/ spherical or different shape metal body.
In accordance with second aspect of Present invention is to provide the tool with adaptation
facility with air gun and different shape body
10 In accordance with third aspect of present invention is to provide a user friendly air leakage
adopter. .
In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention is that it is easily transportable &
easy to carry compact adopter.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
1. With the help of drawings /sketches the present 5 esent invention may be well understood very
clearly.
Item/sketch 1: Is body is base of the whole assembly on which all the parts of tool are
assembled.
Item/sketch 2: Is nut which is used as support for nipple and it is assembled with that.
10 Item/sketch 3. Is nipple half round shape part used for accelerating the air pressure in the
assembly.
Item /sketch 4. Is used as a cover for the tool to protect dust or foreign article to go inside
when tool is stored or kept idle.
Item /sketch 5. O ring assembled in item 1 (sketch 1) to remove air gap.

which assembled with body to check air leakage.

Detail Description:
Leak checking adopter is tool having facility to test the leak after mounting the tool one
end to body and other end to air gun. This tool is fixed or tightened with body and other
end is used for application of air pressure. Air pressure measurement unit is 5 placed
outside & its applied air pressure is measured to ensure while in motion of the body how
much air pressure it can resist. This tool is used more as of adopter. So it is of general
purpose & can be used universally to check air leakage.
10 Sketch “A” Sketch of the whole assembly of leak checking adopter. The tool is having six parts
and one standard item namely cheese head screw.
Item /sketch 1: Is body whose one end is fixed with any shape metallic body and other end is
fixed with air gun. From air gun pressurized air pass through adopter in body to check
any leakage in the body.
15 Item/sketch 2. Is nut used to assemble/flared with the nipple and both the assemble item is fixed
inside the body (sketch 1).
Item /sketch 3. Is nipple assemble with nut and used as an accelerator of the air. This part
assemble/flared with nut fixed inside the body in assembly.
Item /sketch 4. Is Cover of the tool from one end and it helps to protect the tool from foreign

Item /sketch 5 Is “O” ring used as a sealant when it is mount with air gun body. It help any
unwanted flow of air from air gun when in association with adopter.
Item /sketch 6 Is washer which act as a sealant in association with adopter and any shape
metallic body for which air leakage has to be tested. This rubber washer is assembled with
25 sketch 1or body of the tool which is open to tight with metallic body and the washer is primary
part to touch of the part to tested for air leak.

We Claim
1. Leak checking adopter is tool which is used as a adopter having facility to work in association with air gun and any shape metallic body (circular, spherical etc). Through this adopter air pressure is applied with air gun to check the air leakage in metallic body. One end of the adopter is joined with air gun and end of the adopter is joined with metallic body.
2. Leak checking adopter of claim 1 wherein comprises mainly of body, nut with nipple, O ring cover and washer
2. Leak checking adopter of claim 1 wherein, adopter body (sketch 1) is joined with metallic body of any shape to associate and other end of the body is joined with air gun from where the air pressure is applied.
3. Leak checking adopter of claim 1 wherein body is also used as primary part of assembly in which all the sub parts of the tool is assembled.
4. Leak checking adopter of claim 1 wherein nut is assembled/flared with nipple.
5. Leak checking adopter of claim 1 wherein nipple is used as air accelerator.
6. Leak checking adopter of claim 1 wherein pressurized air is pass through adopter in metallic body.
