Abstract: LIGHT WEIGHT ROTAVATOR FOR PUDDELING AND DRY FIELD APPLICATION ABSTRACT: The present invention generally relates to the specially designed light weight rotavator for puddeling and dry field applications. The model is composed of a specially designed body having special high material grade and high strength design which makes it light weight and high strength so that it becomes suitable to work in paddy field as well as in dry field applications. The side plates of the rotavator which play vital role (mounting of the side gears, connection of the gear box to the side gear, drive hub assembly which holds the rotor assembly on transmission side plate and mounting of the dummy jack shaft and dead hub assembly holding rotor assembly from another side is on the external side plate) have less thickness and are designed with involvement of bending for improving section modulus and reducing weight. Field of the Invention:
The present invention generally relates to the specially designed light weight rotavator for puddeling and dry field applications, comprising of transmission side plate and external side plate, which are the major parts of the machine, have less weight because of the less thickness and high strength, mainly because of high quality material and bend in design. Specially designed bodies, high grade material, less thickness material and less cross section of front and rear pipe make it very light weight so that it can work in paddy field and due to high strength material it also can work in the dry field.
This model of the light weight rotavator, to be employed with a tractor, relates to working in paddy field application as well as in dry field application. The model is composed of a specially designed body having special high material grade and high strength design which makes it light weight and high strength so that it becomes suitable to work in paddy field as well as indry field application. The side plates of the rotavator which play vital role (mounting of the side gears, connection of the gear box to the side gear, drive hub assembly which holds the rotor assembly on transmission side plate and mounting of the dummy jack shaft and dead hub assembly holding rotor assembly from another side is on the external side plate) have less thickness and are designed with involvement of bending for improving section modulus and reducing weight. Due to its light weight, this model has the advantages of high work efficiency and low fuel consumption.
Background and object of the present invention
In the Paddy field, generallythere is need of such machine which is light weight but has high strength; particularly towards achieving better working efficiency and higher fuel economy. It is the general understanding towards reducing the weight of a machine that it can be achieved by less thickness of the parts, less cross section and high grade of the material used.
Even though the general knowledge about reducing the weight of a machine and its overall construction, it is a matter of high skill and involvement of high inventive step to achieve higher strength to the structural components as well as overall construction of the desired machine herein, the light weight rotavator for puddeling and for dry field applications.
Inventors of the instant light weight rotavator for puddeling and dry field application have achieved highly customized construction of the machine by applying several inventive steps therein. In addition to achieving light weight as well as higher strength for the instant rotavator machine, the instant invention is also intended to achieve bending on the side plates of the said rotavator, to improve the section modulus which makes it suitable to work in both paddy field and dry field.
It is the prime object of the present invention is to provide specially designed light weight rotavator for puddeling and dry field, comprising of transmission side plate and external side plate, which are the major parts of the machine, have less weight because of the less thickness and high strength, mainly because of high quality material and bend in design.
Another prime object of the present invention is to provide such a light weight rotavator for puddeling and dry field applications, which mainly comprises Plate External Side, Plate Transmission Side, Stiffner Big Frame Assembly, Frame Rear Pipe, Stiffner Bonnet Attachment, Frame Front Pipe, Stiffner Small Frame Assembly, Frame Top Sheet, Rotor Flange, Rotor Pipe, Bonnet Assembly, Three Point Linkage Assembly, Transmission Side Hub Assembly, and External Side Hub Assembly; wherein said light weight rotavator is characterized in its construction, involving the followings:-
(i) the side plates (drive side plate and external side plate) with bend design,is provisioned for providing more strength to the part and less thickness for reducing the weight; and
(ii) keeping the thickness of structural part less and taking the high strength material grade to make it best suitable in both paddy and dry field application.
Another object of the instant invention is to provide such a construction of the light weight rotavator for puddeling and dry field application, wherein (i) the side plates (drive side plate and external side plate) with bend design, is provisioned for providing more strength to the part and less thickness for reducing the weight; and (ii) keeping the thickness of structural part less and taking the high strength material grade to make it best suitable in both paddy and dry field application.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a light weight rotavator, wherein the side plates of the rotavator which play vital roles, namely for mounting of the side gears; connection of the gear box to the side gear; drive hub assembly which holds the rotor assembly on transmission side plate; and mounting of the dummy jack shaft and dead hub assembly holding rotor assembly from another side is on the external side plate; have less thickness and are designed with involvement of bending for improving section modulus and reducing weight. Due to its light weight, this model has the advantages of high work efficiency and low fuel consumption.
Summary of the invention
A preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises of a specially designed drive side plate and external side plate are of less thickness as compared to any other rotavator but the material grade is high IS 2062 E450 and also bending is involved here which makes these plates light weight and high strength. Maximum part of the machine structure has high grade material and low thickness for ensuring the less weight of the machine and high strength which makes it suitable to work in the dry and paddy field application.

Detailed Description of the instant invention
The present invention relates to a novel light weight rotavator for puddeling and dry field applications, mainly comprises Plate External Side (1), Plate Transmission Side (2), Stiffner Big Frame Assembly (3), Frame Rear Pipe (4), Stiffner Bonnet Attachment (5), Frame Front Pipe (6), Stiffner Small Frame Assembly (7), Frame Top Sheet (8), Rotor Flange (9), Rotor Pipe (10), Bonnet Assembly (11), Three Point Linkage Assembly (12), Transmission Side Hub Assembly (13), and External Side Hub Assembly (14); wherein said light weight rotavator is characterized in its construction, involving the followings:-
• the side plates (drive side plate and external side plate) with bend design,is provisioned for providing more strength to the part and less thickness for reducing the weight; and
• keeping the thickness of structural part less and taking the high strength material grade to make it best suitable in both paddy and dry field applications.
Said reduced thickness, light weight for the overall machine assembly and achieving higher strength for effective operations with fuel efficiency in puddeling as well as in dry field applications are mainly the result of substantially non-obvious steps of construction/fabrication of the components of the said rotavator machine of the instant invention, as well as the assembly of the components of said rotavator machine.
FIG. 1 is a top plan view of a preferred embodiment of the present invention showing the frame mounting position, gear box mounting, drive side pipe assembly and external side pipe assembly.
Fig.2 is a front elevation view of the preferred embodiment showing the mounting position of the rotor assembly with side plate and also shows the lower span length which is suited as per CAT -2 standard.
Fig-3 shows the isometric view of the design for understanding the complete design of the machine.
Fig-4 Shows the side view of the assembly in which mounting of the bonnet assembly has been shown.
Fig-5: It shows the schematic design of the side plates (transmission side plate and external side plate).
Fig-6: It shows the schematic design of the frame assembly.
Fig-7: It shows rotor design in which the pipe of the rotor assembly has less thickness and low cross section area. The flanges on which the blade is mounted also have less thickness and high grade material which makes it most suitable to both applications i.e. in dry as well as in paddy field application.
Fig-8: It shows the design of the bonnet assembly which is curved S-shape bonnet. And therefore the soil will not cling to the bonnet and thus the bonnet will not become heavy during working in the field. So it is most suitable for the paddy field application.
Fig-9: It shows the three points linkage assembly which is most suitable for the CAT -2 design in which the front hitch plate and the back hitch plate both are made with less cross section and less thickness but high grade material which makes it most suitable to work in the both applications.
Fig-10: It shows the design of the drive side hub assembly and external side hub assembly. This design is equipped with the Due cone seal which is highly leakage proof and in the paddy field it is highly suitable.
As shown in Figure 5, the plates have bend in design from both side and thickness is less. Due to bending the section modulus of the part increases and due to this deflection in this gets minimized. Along with bending, the material of the plates is also improved so that its yield and tensile strength may also get increased. Therefore, it can work well in the DRY FIELD APPLICATION. To maintain the low weight of these plates, thickness of these plates is reduced so that these can be most suitable for the paddy field application also.
As represented in Figure 6, that is the schematic drawing of the frame assembly of the light weight rotavator machine of the present invention, said frame consists of a sheet which is welded with the two plates on each side (transmission side plate and external side plate). Two pipes (one in the front side and other in the back side) are welded to these plates which make it very strong. Two stiffeners are welded to the frame in the middle for holding the three-point linkage assembly. Other two small stiffeners are also welded in the side of middle stiffener for holding the clevis pin. The distances are kept as per standard CAT2. Two another small stiffeners are also welded to the frame to hold the bonnet assembly.
Construction of the said frame assembly involves the followings:-
• Frame sheet is made round at the bending location so that soil will not cling to these areas. The sheet has less thickness and thus the its weight gets reduced while the material of the sheet is of high grade so that it becomes suitable to work in both applications of dry and paddy fields.
• The front and the rear pipes provide rigidity to the frame assembly. To reduce weight, the cross-sectional area and the thickness is kept lower and for the strength purpose, we have taken high strength grade material.
• Side plate of the frame is made up of the unequal leg size L-section having high strength.
• Middle stiffener, side stiffener and the front stiffener have low thickness and high grade material which makes it most suitable to work in both dry and paddy field applications.
While various features of the machine that have been described, and that are illustrated in the drawings, will be set forth in the following claims as inventive features, it is to be noted that the invention is not necessarily limited to these features and that it encompasses all of the features that have been described both individually and in various combinations.
,CLAIMS:We Claim:
1. The light weight rotavator for puddeling and dry field applications, mainly comprises Plate External Side (1), Plate Transmission Side (2), Stiffner Big Frame Assembly (3), Frame Rear Pipe (4), Stiffner Bonnet Attachment (5), Frame Front Pipe (6), Stiffner Small Frame Assembly (7), Frame Top Sheet (8), Rotor Flange (9), Rotor Pipe (10), Bonnet Assembly (11), Three Point Linkage Assembly (12), Transmission Side Hub Assembly (13), and External Side Hub Assembly (14); wherein said light weight rotavator is characterized in its construction, involving the followings:-
• the side plates (drive side plate and external side plate) with bend design,is provisioned for providing more strength to the part and less thickness for reducing the weight; and
• keeping the thickness of structural part less and taking the high strength material grade to make it best suitable in both paddy and dry field applications.

The light weight rotavator for puddeling and dry field, as claimed in claim 1, wherein it comprises transmission side plate and external side plate, which are the major parts of the machine, have less weight because of the less thickness and high strength, mainly because of high quality material and bend in design.

The light weight rotavator for puddeling and dry field, as claimed in claim 1, wherein (i) the side plates (drive side plate and external side plate) with bend design,is provisioned for providing more strength to the part and less thickness for reducing the weight; and (ii) keeping the thickness of structural part less and taking the high strength material grade to make it best suitable in both paddy and dry field applications.

The light weight rotavator for puddeling and dry field, as claimed in claim 1, wherein the side plates of the rotavator which play vital roles, namely for mounting of the side gears; connection of the gear box to the side gear; drive hub assembly which holds the rotor assembly on transmission side plate; and mounting of the dummy jack shaft and dead hub assembly holding rotor assembly from another side is on the external side plate; have less thickness and are designed with involvement of bending for improving section modulus and reducing weight. Due to its light weight, this model has the advantages of high work efficiency and low fuel consumption.
5. The light weight rotavator for puddeling and dry field, as claimed in claim 1, wherein side plates (drive side plate and external side plate) with bend design for providing more strength to the part and less thickness for reducing theweight.
6. The light weight rotavator for puddeling and dry field, as claimed in claim 1, wherein keeping the thickness of structural part less and taking the high strength material grade to make it best suitable in both paddy and dry field applications.
7. The light weight rotavator for puddeling and dry field, as claimed in claim 1, wherein the construction of the frame assembly of the light weight rotavator involves the followings:-
• said frame consists of a sheet which is welded with the two plates on each side (transmission side plate and external side plate);
• Two pipes (one in the front side and other in the back side) are welded to these plates which make it very strong;
• Two stiffeners are welded to the frame in the middle for holding the three-point linkage assembly;
