Lipstick with a Push and Pop Mechanism.
Background Of The Invention :-
Ancient Sumerian men and women were possibly the first to invent and wear lipstick, about 5,000 years ago. They crushed gemstones and used them to decorate their faces, mainly on the lips and around the eyes. Egyptians like Cleopatra crushed bugs (carmine) to create a color of red on their lips. Women in the ancient Indus Valley Civilization may have used rectangular pieces of ochre with beveled ends as lipstick. Ancient Egyptians wore lipstick to show social status rather than gender. They extracted the red dye from fucus-algin, 0.01% iodine, and some bromine mannite, but this dye resulted in serious illness. Lipsticks with shimmering effects were initially made using a pearlescent substance found in fish scales.
In Indian Ayurveda, ghee mixed with dry petals of ratan-jyot was used initially as therapy for chapped and sore lips but later took up cosmetic value and is still used as a natural lip colour in some parts of India.
In Australia, Aboriginal girls would paint their mouths red with ochre for puberty rituals.
In the United Kingdom, Lip colouring started to gain some popularity in 16th-century England. During the time of Queen Elizabeth I bright red lips and a stark white face became fashionable. At that time, lipstick was made from a blend of beeswax and red stains from plants. Only upper-class women and male actors wore makeup.
By 1915, lipstick was sold in cylinder metal containers. Women had to slide a tiny lever at the side of the tube with the edge of their fingernail to move the lipstick up to the top of the case, although lipsticks in push-up metal containers had been available in Europe since 1911.
Another form of lip color, a wax-free, semi-permanent liquid formula, was invented in the 1990s by the Lip-Ink International company. Other companies have imitated the idea, putting out their own versions of long-lasting "lip stain" or "liquid lip color."
Throughout the early 20th century, lipstick came in a limited number of shades. Dark red lipstick was one of the most popular shades throughout the 19th and 20th century, especially in the 1920s.
Lipstick has always been a part and parcel of every woman's life. However choosing the right shade of lipstick and to match it according to any occasion has been the biggest problem which every woman can very well relate to. On top of that purchasing different lipsticks for various shades might not be very affordable and might cost a lot to the customers. Moreover it is not a very good idea to carry numerous lipsticks along while travelling. Our invention comes with different stunning shades in 1 single container in the shape of a crayon making it very easy for the customer to carry and travel with it. They just need to remove the shade at the top and push it at the back and a new colour would pop out. It gives the customer the freedom of choosing and playing between various shades just on the go. It seeks to solve customer’s difficulties with multiple shades of lipstick in different packaging. Our invention comprises every possible lip colour that a customer might need through the day.
While our invention itself is a personal space saver in the customer’s purse, cabinet, bag, etc., the economic advantages are quite beneficial. A customer spends on an average of 50% more than a single lipstick but gets 5 lipsticks in a single container.
Field Of The Invention :-
Our invention is an on the go lipstick which has multiple shades in one push and pop container. It comes with two or more different shades in one single container which makes the application very easy and convenient. It seeks to solve the problem of carrying separate lipsticks for different shades.
