Abstract: The present invention relates to a lithium secondary battery comprising: a cathode; an anode; a separator provided between the cathode and the anode; and an electrolyte, the cathode comprising a cathode current collector and a cathode active material layer provided on the cathode current collector, the anode comprising an anode current collector and an anode active material layer provided on the anode current collector, wherein the cathod active material layer contains a lithium composite transition metal compound in the form of single particles, which contains nickel, cobalt, and manganese, nickel being contained in a content of 80 mol% (inclusive) to 100 mol% (exclusive) among the metals excluding lithium, and the anode active material layer contains at least 3 parts by weight of a Si/C-based active material on the basis of 100 parts by weight of the total of the anode active material.
