Abstract: The present invention relates to a secondary battery comprising: an electrode assembly in which a cathode plate, an anode plate, and a separator interposed between the cathode plate and the anode plate are wound in one direction; a battery can for accommodating the electrode assembly; and a sealing material for sealing an open end portion of the battery can, wherein the cathode plate includes a cathode active material including discrete particles, discrete particle-like particles, or a combination thereof, and the Dmin of the cathode active material is 1.0 ? or more.
