3. PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION
The following specification particularly describes the invention and the manner in which it is to be performed:

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
This invention relates generally to a motor control center module and more particularly to a locking arrangement for motor control centre module providing automatic locking.
BACKGROUND AND THE PRIOR ART
The invention is basically a lock which is used to keep the switchboard-MCC modules in position. The novelty of the design remains in its simple fabrication, assembling, reduced components and "automatic locking while insertion" feature.
Conventional lock assembly has more number of components and hence higher assembly time. Also, manual lifting of lock is required whenever module is inserted. Existing module lock is molded component, with pin and spring arrangement. This lock is operator dependent for both locking and unlocking .The performance of the lock is not satisfactory up to the expectations. Therefore there is a need to overcome these disadvantages of the conventional arrangement.
Hence in an attempt to improve the functionality of the lock, requirement of an automatic locking mechanism became a vital function. This invention satisfies the automatic locking. The present invention therefore provides an automatic locking arrangement that facilitates automatic locking of the withdrawable module during insertion.
The invention being a spring steel item with simple profile is easy to fabricate and assemble in the module. Also the wedge like profile facilitates automatic lifting and locking, when module is inserted. The preset invention finds its application in the switchboards.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
A basic object of the present invention is to overcome the disadvantages/drawbacks of the known art.

Another object of the present invention is to facilitate automatic mechanical locking arrangement.
Yet another object of the present invention is to facilitate easy assembly of locking arrangement.
These and other advantages of the present invention will become readily apparent from the following detailed description read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
There is provided a locking arrangement for motor control centre module.
According to one embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a locking arrangement for motor control centre module, said arrangement comprising a lock means having substantially wedge shaped profile fastened on a chassis wherein said lock means adapted to automatically lift and engage with a tray slot on insertion of a substantially withdrawable module inside a switchboard thereby locking said module.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS
The following drawings are illustrative of particular examples for enabling methods of the present invention, are descriptive of some of the methods, and are not intended to limit the scope of the invention. The drawings are not to scale (unless so stated) and are intended for use in conjunction with the explanations in the following detailed description.
Fig 1 illustrates the lock means. It shows wedge shaped profile that facilitates automatic locking.
Fig 2 illustrates the arrangement of Lock means in a module along with module Chassis, Module Lock Cap and Door.

Fig 3 illustrates Lock, Module Chassis, Door and Tray.
Fig 4 illustrates another view of lock means.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Accordingly in the present invention, when the operator inserts the module inside the switchboard, the lock automatically lifts up and engages with the tray slot inside the switchboard thereby locking the module for further operation. To take the module out, operator has to lift the
Jock manually.
The purpose is to facilitate automatic mechanical locking while inserting the module, and to reduce the total no of components used there by reducing the assembly time and also to provide "Automatic locking while insertion" feature for making it operator independent.
1-Module Lock 2-Module Chassis 3-Module Lock Cap 4-Door 5-Tray
This invention facilitates the module lock by itself while insertion. In Switchboard application, withdraw able module should have lock to held it in right position in the board. This invention satisfies the automatic locking. Automatic lift and lock is achieved with minimum components.
This component is riveted or fastened with the chassis .This marked portion will be projecting out of the chassis which is designed to engage with the tray slot. The inclined surface helps the component to lift up while inserting the module in the switchboard. As the insertion proceeds, this component engages with the slot provided in the tray over which the module is rested. The vertical surface in the lock restricts the racking-out operation of the module. The module is taken out by lifting the lock out of the slot.

Although the embodiments herein are described with various specific embodiments, it will be obvious for a person skilled in the art to practice the embodiments herein with modifications. However, all such modifications are deemed to be within the scope of the claims.
It is also to be understood that the following claims are intended to cover all of the generic and specific features of the embodiments described herein and all the statements of the scope of the embodiments which as a matter of language might be said to fall there between.

WE CLAIM:
1. A locking arrangement for motor control centre module, said arrangement comprising:
a lock means having substantially wedge shaped profile fastened on a chassis wherein said lock means adapted to automatically lift and engage with a tray slot on insertion of a substantially withdrawable module inside a switchboard thereby locking said module.
2. Arrangement as claimed in claim 1 wherein said lock means lifted manually to take out said module.
3. Arrangement as claimed in claim 1 wherein said lock means having a substantially vertical surface adapted to restrict racking out operation of said module.
4. Arrangement as claimed in claim 1 wherein said lock means is substantially a spring steel material.
5. A locking arrangement for motor control centre module as herein described and illustrated with reference to accompanying drawings.
