Specification

The present disclosure relates generally to field of safety device. More particularly, the present disclosure provides a locking assembly for electronic device.
BACKGROUND
[0002] Background description includes information that may be useful in understanding the present invention. It is not an admission that any of the information provided herein is prior art or relevant to the presently claimed invention, or that any publication specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art. [0003] Safety of electronic device is important to protect the electronic device from any damage and avoiding chances of accidents. Key locks and locking devices may save the electronic device from jerk, and immediate injury and may help in keeping the electronic device at right orientation. However, there are problems related to development of low cost, reliable and generalized locking mechanism for the electronic devices. Existing key locks available maybe of higher cost with lesser security. Also, easier to break and hence are not reliable too. Cost of existing locks maybe high because their parts have to be designed with higher degree of precision, in order to get inserted into the electronic devices like laptop cavities (USB, WLAN Port etc.). This may reduce usability and marketability of products. Moreover, due to less rigid point of contacts with laptops, there may be a probability of breakage (or damage of few laptop parts) when the existing key locks are utilized. This problem may be solved by adopting more contact points.
[0004] There can be few alternate existing solutions like diagonal arrangement of locking members to ensure protection and safety for electronic devices where clutches can be attached at corners of the electronic devices to damage the electronic devices. Such arrangements may not be effective, keeping in mind stress concentration at the edges of laptop, which may become even more pronounced in some poorly designed laptops. Due to already high magnitudes of localized stress concentration at edges of laptops, such solution to apply diagonal

locking produces more stress (which occurs due to fastening of clutches of device at laptop edges) may not prove ideal.
[0005] There is a need to overcome above mentioned problem of prior art by bringing a solution that is cost effective, easy to manufacture, reduces stress concentration at edges of the electronic device, and may ensure an efficient interlocking for safety of the electronic device.
