Abstract: A locking device for valves for implementation during transportation of turbine valves of 660/700/800 MW supercritical steam turbine consists of a plate assembly (1) having holes (10,11) for allowing a bolt (2) and a hexagonal screw (4) to pass through. The bolt (2) is fixed to a plate (3) by tack welding. The hexagonal screw fixes the plate assembly (1) with a yoke (6). The plate assembly (1) and a hexagonal nut (5) are disposed for tightening the bolt (2) on valve spindle (7) when the valve spindle (7) resting on the valve cone (8) receives the force from the bolt (2) for pressing the valve cone (8) on valve seat (9) for restricting the movement and preventing the damage of the valve spindle.
FIELD OF INVENTION
The present invention relates to a locking device for valves for implementation during transportation of turbine valves of 660/700/800 MW supercritical steam turbine.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
For the safe transportation of turbine valves from BHEL works to respective site, valve spindle & other associated items of turbine valves are required to be fixed. The fixing of these items are required to restrict the movement of these items, so that these items can be prevented from any kind of damage during transportation. To restrict the movement of valve spindle & other associated items, the design of "Locking device for valves" has been finalized.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
Therefore, it is an object of the invention to propose a locking device for valves for implementation during transportation of turbine valves of 660/700/800 MW supercritical steam turbine, which is capable of fixing the valves, valve spindle and other associated items for restricting the movement of those said items for preventing them from any kind of damage.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF A PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
The safe transportation of turbine valves from BHEL works to respective site is the utmost requirement. For the safe transportation of turbine valves from BHEL works to respective site, valve spindle & other associated items of turbine valves are required to be fixed. The fixing of these items are required to restrict the movement of these items, so that these items can be prevented from any kind of damage during transportation.
As shown in fig.l, the locking device for valves consists of the following: i) a plate assembly (1) ii) a bolt (2) iii) a plate (3) iv) hexagon screw (4) and v) hexagon nut (5)
The plate assembly (1) has hole (10) for allowing a bolt (2) to pass through which is assembled to another plate (3) and holes (11) for allowing hexagon screws (4) to pass through and fixing the plate (1) with the yoke.
The function of this device is to keep the valve cone (8) pressed on valve seat (9) tightly, so that during transportation of valve assembly, the movement of valve spindle (7) can be restricted & it can be prevented from any kind of damage.
In order to restrict the movement of valve spindle (7), the bolt (2) is tightened on valve spindle (7) with the help of plate assembly (1) & Hexagonal nut (5) as shown in the diagram. The valve spindle (7) resting on the valve cone (8) receives the force from the bolt (2) for pressing the valve cone (8) on valve seat (9) for restricting the movement of the valve spindle (7) during transportation for preventing the damage of the valve spindle. A plate (3) is tack welded to the bolt head (2) and rests on the valve spindle to prevent any kind of impression/damage of the valve spindle.
WE CLAIM
1. A locking device for valves for implementation during transportation of turbine valves of 660/700/800 MW supercritical steam turbine, the said device comprising;
a plate assembly (1) having holes (10,11) for allowing a bolt (2) and a hexagonal screw (4) to pass through the said bolt (2) being fixed to a plate (3) by tack welding and the said screw (4) disposed for fixing the plate assembly (1) with a yoke (6);
characterized in that,
the plate assembly (1) and the hexagonal nut (5) are disposed for tightening the bolt (2) on valve spindle (7) wherein the valve spindle (7) resting on the valve cone (8) receives the force from the bolt (2) for pressing the valve cone (8) on valve seat (9) for restricting the movement of valve spindle (7) during transportation for preventing the damage of the said valve spindle.
