[001]This invention is directed to locking mechanism for positive locking and to obstruct unwanted disengagement. The mechanism constitutes a light holder for locking and preventing anticlockwise rotation thereof during removal of light. The light particularly includes LED, Bulb, CFL without restricting scope of the invention to the same.
BACKGROUND/PRIOR ART OF INVENTION
[002] Lamp holder is as such known to be available in the market, which is utilized for holding lamps including LED, Bulb, CFL. However, it is associated with the following drawbacks.
- Absence of any indication to the user while locking the top cover of the holder.
- Possibility of holder getting unlocked/disassembled in the course of removal of the lamp.
[003] This is because removal/replacement of the lamp or any mounting from the holder requires the executer to rotate the same in anti¬clockwise direction. Thus, the holder comes out of the bottom cover assembly while removing the lamp from top cover sub assembly owing to lack of provision to restrict anti-clockwise movement of the holder.
[004] In view of the above, it is required to devise a lamp holder which can address the aforesaid issues by giving indication to the user/doer/executer regarding proper locking of the holder and restricting anticlockwise rotation of the holder during removal of the lamp.
[005] Now, reference may be made to the following patents:-
[006] Publication No. US5738437 discloses an attachment configuration for securing a circular light fixture cover to a correspondingly configured light fixture base, which includes an outwardly extending helical flange around the base of the cover and a mating helical channel within the light fixture base. Preferably, the flange and channel each form only a single pitch and extend around their respective components only 360 degrees, thereby allowing the fixture cover to be removed from or installed upon the fixture base with only a single turn. A stop may be provided in the assembly to prevent over tightening of the cover to the fixture base, and alignment markings may be provided to indicate the initial engagement point and fully engaged point of the cover relative to the base. The flange and mating channel may be provided on either of the components, and may be oriented inwardly or outwardly as desired, so long as the corresponding cover and fixture base have complementary and mating configurations. The system may be used to secure light fixture covers having convex shapes to mating fixtures, and may also be applied to flat covers for flush mounted fixtures. The present attachment system provides a tight fit between the cover and fixture base, thus precluding entry of insects or other small animals into the interior of the assembly. The attachment system is devoid of screws, clips, or any other
components, and requires no tools or other equipment to install and remove the light cover to and from its corresponding light fixture base.

DETAIL DESCRIPTION OF THE PRESENT INVENTION WITH REFERENCE TO THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS
5 [0024] The present invention makes a disclosure in respect of a technology pertinent to locking mechanism for positive locking and to obstruct unwanted disengagement. The mechanism constitutes a light holder for locking and preventing anticlockwise rotation thereof during removal of light.
10
[0025] Now, reference may be made to figure 1 illustrating exploded view of the novel holder. According to the present invention, assembly of top cover (2) with decorative cap (1) thereon forming top cover assembly is placed on an assembly of locking ring (3), bayonet holder assembly (4)
15 and middle ring (5) constituting middle assembly.
[0026] Further, another assembly of bottom cover (7) mounted on inner plate (8) is provided. This forms bottom cover assembly.
20 [0027] The aforesaid assemblies form stage-I as best seen in figure 1.
[0028] The top cover assembly is fastened to the middle assembly by means of a fastener including screw (6) as shown in stage-II.
25 [0029] Finally, the screwed assembly of said decorative cap, top cover, locking ring, bayonet holder assembly and middle ring is rotatably fitted onto the assembly of bottom cover and inner plate forming holder of the instant invention as shown in stage-III. This leads to production of the whole of the product claimed.
8
[0030] For details regarding the holder, reference may be made to figure 2 illustrating sectional views.
[0031] Now particularly referring to sectional view E-E, the holder is 5 provided with a detented part, which allows tick feeling while locking the top cover and restricts anticlockwise rotational movement of the holder during removal of the LED/bulb/CFL.
[0032] Now, reference may be made to figure 3. The detented part of 10 holder constitutes a protruded part (P1) integrally provided with the middle ring and a depressed part (P2) in the bottom cover.
[0033] Here, the protruded part forming male part is having substantially a triangular notch section, which is fitted into said depressed part 15 forming female part having concave structure.
[0034] Thus, the male and female part together forms the detented part. Said detented part can be provided in a pair so as to serve the purpose effectively.
20
[0035] The decorative cap snap locks with said top cover so as to hide sideways gap and enhance aestheticness of the holder. The top cover holds bayonet holder assembly, locking ring and middle ring with screw. It is employed to rotate and for snap locking with bottom cover.
25
[0036] The middle ring is secured to the top cover. This forms a sub assembly which is implemented to render the holder straight one or

inclined one. This results in creation of variation within the single holder assembly.
[0037] Threaded portion of the locking ring engages with the bayonet 5 holder assembly in order to restrict bayonet holder assembly from any play. The bayonet holder assembly is provided to hold bulb/CFL/LED and terminals with spring.
[0038] The middle ring is having provision of snap locking that locks with 10 the bottom cover. Also, the middle ring withholds all parts and subassemblies with fastener including screw.
[0039] The bottom cover snap locks with the middle ring. Said inner plate is mounted on wall and snap locks with the whole subassembly. 15
[0040] Now, reference may be made to fig. 4A and 4B, in which other variants of holder of present invention accommodating same snap locking mechanism are shown.
20 [0041] All the variants have same constructional features with difference in the bottom cover. Accordingly, the same can be nomenclatured, which is listed hereinbelow:-Holder plate type (fig.1): Plate type bottom cover
25 Holder globe type (fig. 4A): Globe type bottom cover
Holder jumbo type (fig. 4B): Jumbo type bottom cover.
10
[0042] The aforediscussed design of the novel holder gives rise the following advantageous features:-
- The executer gets tick feeling while locking/assembling top cover so as to obtain straight or inclined holder. The feeling of tick noise ensures proper locking of the holder.
- Prevents detachment of the top cover during removal/replacement of LEDs/bulb/CFLs or any mounting from the holder. Thus, it restricts holder from anticlockwise rotation during the removal of LED/bulb/CFL. Hence, no special attention is required while disassembling.
[0043] Thus, the locking feature restricts top cover assembly from getting disassembled from the bottom cover assembly.
[0044] It is to be noted that the present invention is susceptible to modifications, adaptations and changes by those skilled in the art. Such variant embodiments employing the concepts and features of this invention are intended to be within the scope of the present invention, which is further set forth under the following claims:-

DETAIL DESCRIPTION OF THE PRESENT INVENTION WITH REFERENCE TO THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS
[0024] The present invention makes a disclosure in respect of a technology pertinent to locking mechanism for positive locking and to obstruct unwanted disengagement. The mechanism constitutes a light holder for locking and preventing anticlockwise rotation thereof during removal of light.
[0025] Now, reference may be made to figure 1 illustrating exploded view of the novel holder. According to the present invention, assembly of top cover (2) with decorative cap (1) thereon forming top cover assembly is placed on an assembly of locking ring (3), bayonet holder assembly (4) and middle ring (5) constituting middle assembly.
[0026] Further, another assembly of bottom cover (7) mounted on inner plate (8) is provided. This forms bottom cover assembly.
[0027] The aforesaid assemblies form stage-I as best seen in figure 1.
[0028] The top cover assembly is fastened to the middle assembly by means of a fastener including screw (6) as shown in stage-II.
[0029] Finally, the screwed assembly of said decorative cap, top cover, locking ring, bayonet holder assembly and middle ring is rotatably fitted onto the assembly of bottom cover and inner plate forming holder of the instant invention as shown in stage-III. This leads to production of the whole of the product claimed.
[0030] For details regarding the holder, reference may be made to figure 2 illustrating sectional views.
[0031] Now particularly referring to sectional view E-E, the holder is provided with a detented part, which allows tick feeling while locking the top cover and restricts anticlockwise rotational movement of the holder during removal of the LED/bulb/CFL.
[0032] Now, reference may be made to figure 3. The detented part of holder constitutes a protruded part (P1) integrally provided with the middle ring and a depressed part (P2) in the bottom cover.
[0033] Here, the protruded part forming male part is having substantially a triangular notch section, which is fitted into said depressed part forming female part having concave structure.
[0034] Thus, the male and female part together forms the detented part. Said detented part can be provided in a pair so as to serve the purpose effectively.
[0035] The decorative cap snap locks with said top cover so as to hide sideways gap and enhance aestheticness of the holder. The top cover holds bayonet holder assembly, locking ring and middle ring with screw. It is employed to rotate and for snap locking with bottom cover.
[0036] The middle ring is secured to the top cover. This forms a sub assembly which is implemented to render the holder straight one or inclined one. This results in creation of variation within the single holder assembly.
[0037] Threaded portion of the locking ring engages with the bayonet holder assembly in order to restrict bayonet holder assembly from any play. The bayonet holder assembly is provided to hold bulb/CFL/LED and terminals with spring.
[0038] The middle ring is having provision of snap locking that locks with the bottom cover. Also, the middle ring withholds all parts and subassemblies with fastener including screw.
[0039] The bottom cover snap locks with the middle ring. Said inner plate is mounted on wall and snap locks with the whole subassembly.
[0040] Now, reference may be made to fig. 4A and 4B, in which other variants of holder of present invention accommodating same snap locking mechanism are shown.
[0041] All the variants have same constructional features with difference in the bottom cover. Accordingly, the same can be nomenclatured, which is listed hereinbelow:-
Holder plate type (fig.1): Plate type bottom cover

Holder jumbo type (fig. 4B): Jumbo type bottom cover.
