Abstract: A Loom Fixture used for assembly of chassis loom, which provides proper routing and electrical connection.It is handly and lightweight structure.
Present Invention is used to make loom assembly independently using the various wires
and connector with proper lacing for any electrical or electronic system.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Reliability of electronic/ electric unit very much depends upon the reliability of the wiring
of the unit. For successful working of any electronic/ electric unit, wiring of its unit should
be reliable.
Present invention is particularly concerned to increase the reliability of the unit by
increasing the reliability of the wiring of the unit. Present invention reduces the rate of
rejection of the wiring assemblies and also improves the reliability of the unit.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present Invention is small, lightweight and easy to use Loom Fixture for
assembly of wire loom of Electrical/Electronic Units. It consists of dowel/guide pins for
supporting the loom wires during assembly. Further, it consists of holding plate & guide
plate for supporting connectors.
By binding many wires into a Loom, the wires can be better secured against the
adverse effects of vibrations, abrasions, and moisture. By constricting the wires into a
non-flexing bundle, usage of space is optimized, and the risk of electrical short is
decreased. Since the installer has only one wire loom to install (as opposed to multiple
wires), installation time is decreased and the process can be easily standardized.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
Referring to fig-1, fig-2 & fig-3 the present invention is a loom fixture comprises a loom
board 1. Surface 17 of loom board that is main surface of fixture in which all the other
items are fixed.
Leg support L.H 2 and leg support R.H 3 of aluminum alloy fixed with loom board 1 with
Allen screw 4. Legs support the loom board and provide the proper angle to the loom
board 1 to make an easy loom assembly on it. 25mm wide slot made in it, give the
handling to the fixture. Guide pins (Dowel pins) 10 (Standard Dowels) fixed on board to
guide and provide shape to the loom.
Guide plate 5 of SRBF fixed on the surface 17 of loom board by C’sk screw 8. Guide
plate 5 guide connector A and positioned it properly. Clamp 6 of SRBF, clamped
connector A with Allen screw7 and washer 15, which is guided & positioned in guide
plate 5. Holding plate 9 of miled steel fixed on the surface 17 of loom board. Which
guide and properly positioned the connector B in slot of holding plate 9. Locking plate
11 of miled steel fixed with back surface of loom board, hold the guide plate 5 & Allen
screw 7 when clamp 6 clamped.
Guide plate 12 of SRBF fixed on the surface 17 of loom board 1 by C’sk screw 8, which
guide and positioned the connector C on the surface 17 of loom board. Clamp 13 of
SRBF clamped the connector C to proper holding on the surface 17 of loom board 1.
Locking plate 14 of miled steel fixed with back surface of loom board 1 to hold the guide
plate 12 and Allen screw 7, when clamp 13 clamped the connector C.

1. A Loom fixture is supporting device to assemble the loom (wiring) with proper electrical connection and routing to improve the reliability of the user unit.
2. The loom fixture of claim 1 wherein, flat surface used for proper routing and electrical connection of individual wire.
3. The loom fixture of claim 1 wherein the guide pins (Dowel pins) are mounted in flat surface to provide the proper routing of loom and proper length of individual wires
4. Loom fixture of claim 1 further comprising guide pins (Dowel pins) mounted on flat surface to provide proper lacing of loom with proper connection.
5. Loom fixture of claim 1 comprises guide plates to guide and positioned the connectors properly.
6. Loom fixture of claim 5 further comprises clamps to clamp and positioned the connectors in guide plate.
7. Loom fixture of claim 1 also comprises holding plate of mild steel to guide and positioned the other connectors properly on the flat surface.
8. Loom fixture of claim 7 further comprises clamps and locking plate to clamp and positioned the connectors on flat surface. ,TagSPECI:As per Annexure-II
