Background of the Invention
Humans have a curiosity in exploring the mountain range for multiple reasons and objectives. Army personnel, data scientists, and environmentalists from all over the world will be visiting the higher Himalayan regions for their various missions. Because the higher altitude locations have various types of difficulties hence facility of communication between them will keep motivated in that challenging environment. The main concern is to maintain the communication between the tracking team members in the situation even when they are in danger due to avalanches and roack fall and some other reasons or suffer any causality in those extreme circumstances. It is important to have a device that would gather information about the location and the health (heart beats) and able to fetch the same among the group members as well as upto certain range.
US9070268B2 discloses a method, apparatus, system, and computer program products provides personal alert and tracking capabilities using one or more nodes. Each node includes radio transceiver chips operating at different frequency ranges, a power amplifier, sensors, a display, and embedded software. The chips enable the node to operate as either a mobile sensor node or a relay base station node while providing a long-distance relay link between nodes. The power amplifier enables a line-of-sight communication between the one or more nodes. The sensors provide a GPS signal, temperature, and accelerometer information (used to trigger an alert condition). The embedded software captures and processes the sensor information, provides a multi-hop packet routing protocol to relay the sensor information to and receive alert information from a command center, and to display the alert information on the display.
Research Gap:
In this invention the wireless transmission between different nodes. Here the communication has been carried out. In this invention the real time health scenario of the mountaineer is not explored. As well no explanation of the alarming system.

The present invention proposes a portable device for tracking the position and health of other climbers in an emergency while climbing a mountain. Figure.1 illustrates the working mechanism of the wearable device, where the ‘n’ of wearable module of ‘n’ mountaineers connects to each other through long range communication. LoRa communication is having capability of bi-directional communication upto 10 km range, so it overcomes the connectivity issue for the mountaineers to track their team members during emergency situation. The wearable modules are interconnected so that other climbers can make requests via remote communication by clicking on each climber's name. In addition, wearable module is embedded with accelerometer sensor to know the movement of the other team members and the pulse sensor is use to identify whether particular team member is alive. The ‘n’ number of wearable modules are connected to the ground authorities through ground supervisor unit. The ground supervisor unit supervises the tracking of every mountaineers who went to climb. Search device is an additional feature, if higher authorities want to know the status of mountaineers, then they can place requests through internet connectivity.
Figure 2 illustrates the components of wearable module, where the accelerometer and pulse sensor provide the movement and health status of the user to the computing unit. The computing unit stores it and sends when it requests by another user through LoRa module. The OLED display visualizes all the data and direction array displays the direction of the user. Mountain ski GPS guides the user to reach the destination of the other user. Battery power supply is embedded to power the wearable module.
Ground supervisor unit is connected with the wearable module. Here the LoRa module (81) act as trans receiver unit, as it transmits and receive the information related to the location and health status from the wearable module. Wi-Fi module provides internet capability to the Ground supervisor unit to send the information to the search device based on request. An external power supply is powered to the components interfaced to the controller unit.
