Low Cost Solar Powered Paddlewheel Aerators For Aquaculture Farms With Automatic Cum Manual Control Using Pmdc Or Bldc Motor

Abstract: Abstract Low cost solar-powered paddlewheel Aerator for Aquaculture farms with automatic cum manual control using PMDC or BLDC motors. It comprises solar modules [2] output is connected to charge controller unit [3]. From charge controller unit [2], there are two outputs goes one to battery [4] and other to controller [5]. From controller [5] to PMDC or BLDC motor [6] and in either side of this motor [6] impellers [7] are connected. It functions as follows: Power produced by solar Photovoltaic modules [2] is charging the batteries [4]. The entire set up is incorporated or attached in a Gl pipe length which in inserted in the pond. Once the battery [4] is fully charged in the end of the day, the controller [5] switched on the motor [6] and the impellers [7] in either side rotates for the whole night so that dissolved oxygen is maintained for the entire pond.

Specification

FIELD OF INVENTION
Aquaculture Equipments - Photovoltaic Powered
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION WITH REGARD TO THE DRAW BACK ASSOCIATED WITH KNOWN ART
Environmental degradation has reaching to the dangerous levels. Hence a serious concentration is required to reduce the gravity of the climate change impacts. It is planned to develop an exclusive eco-friendly aquaculture equipment unit that can help to enrich the environment. Paddlewheel aerators are the most widely used method of aeration of aquaculture ponds and have proven to be efficient and suitable for aquaculture farming grow out ponds as well as the pond culture of most other India fish species. The paddlewheel is at present the most efficient aerator due to the combined way it rapidly destratifies a pond through strong water circulation and aeration by spraying water into the air as well as dragging air into the water creating large surface areas of air/water interface allowing efficient gaseous exchange (oxygen in and harmful gas out). The combined effect of strong circulation and aeration allows the formation of the important oxidized surface sediment layer. None of the other aeration systems either perform all these functions or do them as efficiently. These type of solar-powered paddle wheel aerators can be used in the remote places where there is no electricity is provided. Prominently return of investment is ensured to the farmers and power is saved in large quantities to the Nation.
OBJECT OF INVENTION
Country like India has produce more aqua products and farmers suffers a lot to feed the power for aerators which is necessary to run 12 hours a day to keep the bio-mass like fishes and prawns healthy inside the water. Here Low cost solar-powered paddlewheel Aerator for Aquaculture farms with automatic cum manual control using PMDC or BLDC motors has been developed to free the aquaculture farmers from huge electricity bills which has commercial tariff.
STATEMENT OF INVENTION
Current diesel powered or grid powered aerators are not environmental friendly. More over these equipments run 12 hours a day are produce massive amount of carbons which is harmful to all the living systems of this Planet Earth. At present 1hp 10 or 3cp paddlewheel aerators works well in the standard pond of 1000m2 and a maximum depth of 1.5 - 2m. Unlike some of the other systems (which may have to run for up to 24 hours to have the same effect) tests have shown that for marron farming the paddlewheel only needs to run for up to a maximum of one hour (20-30 minutes is usually sufficient) three times per day (just prior to sunrise, late afternoon and late evening). The amount of aeration required is dependent upon a number of factors so other species under culture may require more or less aeration than that for a standard marron pond as the pond may be of a different size/volume, feeding rates may be higher or lower, stocking rates may be higher or lower, the water temperature may be different and the species requirements need to be taken into account. Paddlewheels, in general, have the greatest oxygen increase per 746 watts per hour as well as the least cost per unit of oxygen. Recently power cut is introduced for longer time and the farmers are really

struggling to run the aerators at the desired time !n addition to that incorporation of an Inverter system is very expensive to run present conventional aerators. After some urging from aquaculture farmers here Low-priced fully automatic cum manually operated photovoltaic powered paddlewheel aerator for increasing the DO [Dissolved Oxygen] level for aquaculture farms using PMDC or BLDC motor has been designed and developed
SUMMARY OF INVENTION
Low-priced photovoltaic powered paddlewheel aerator with automatic cum manual control for increasing the DO [Dissolved Oxygen] level for aquaculture farms using PMDC or BLDC motor.
A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWING
Fig 1: shows Low cost solar-powered paddlewheel Aerator for Aquaculture farms with automatic cum manual control using PMDC or BLDC motors.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION WITH REFERENCE TO DRAWING/EXAMPLES
Referring to Fig1 can be seen that the Low cost solar-powered paddlewheel Aerator for Aquaculture farms with automatic cum manual control using PMDC or BLDC motors. It comprises solar modules [2] output is connected to charge controller unit [3]. From charge controller unit [2], there are two outputs goes one to battery [4] and other to controller [5], From controller [5] to PMDC or BLDC motor [6] and in either side of this motor [6] impellers [7] are connected. It functions as follows:
Power produced by solar Photovoltaic modules [2] is charging the batteries [4].

CLAIM(S) I / We claim,
1. Low cost solar-powered paddlewheel Aerator for Aquaculture farms with automatic cum manual control using PMDC or BLDC motors comprises solar module, charge controller, batteries, controller for bide or pmdc motors to spin the impellers.
2. Low cost solar-powered paddlewheel Aerator for Aquaculture farms with automatic cum manual control using PMDC or BLDC motors can be used for aerating the aquaculture ponds to increase or maintain the required level of dissolved oxygen.
3. Low cost solar-powered paddlewheel Aerator for Aquaculture farms with automatic cum manual control using PMDC or BLDC motors substantially as herein described and illustrated in the figures of the accompanying drawings.
