The following specification particularly describe the nature of the invention and the manner in which it is to be performed.
This invention relates to MACHINE FOR MAKING PURI, ROTI & PAPAD.
These machine is designed to eliminate laborious job of flour kneading as well as making puri, roti and papad. Normally it takes a lot of time and energy to knead and roll as the dough is very sticky and hard. By using these machine time spent is reduced from hours to minutes with minimum effort and uniformity in size of puri, roti and papad is maintained.
This machine as a whole is divided into five different parts and each of which run by individual motor. This machine consists of flour kneader, dough sheet extruder, dough sheeter, die cutter, and dryer.
The invention is described with respect to the accompanying drawings.

In the flour kneader 1 there is a motor 13, pulleys 7,8,10,11, V belt 9, rod 14, beaters 15, flour container 16, bearings 12 and water outlet 17. Flour, all spices and required quantity of water is placed in the container 16 of the flour kneader 1. When flour kneader 1 is switched on, the motor 13 of flour kneader 1 starts. Pulley 7 is joint with the motor 13 which is connected with pulley 8 via V belt 9. Pulley 8 is connected with pulley 10 via a rod 14 which is connected with pulley 11 via V belt 9. As the motor starts all pulleys , rod 14 and V belt 9 get rotated and so the rod 14 connected with pulley 11 gets rotated. By this rotation beaters 15 situated inside the container 16 get rotated to mix
the flour, spices and water. In this process required amount of water is used and rest comes out of the container 16 through water outlet 17. Now the dough is ready to make papad. This dough is taken from this container 16 and placed in hopper 18 of dough sheet extruder 2. When the motor 21 of the dough sheet extruder 2 is switched on, pulley 23, rod 27 and a V belts 24 are rotated. Pulley 28 is connected with the sheeter die 20. As the pulley 28 is rotated, the dough from the hopper 18 comes in the sheeter die 20 and gets extruded to get more whiten and take roll form for the formation of the pieces for making of sheet of papad. The dough roll comes out from the sheeter die 20 directly goes to the dough sheeter 3 for the formation of the sheet for making papad. In the dough sheeter 3 there are two sheeter rolls 33. As the motor 34 starts the dough roll 19 comes between these two sheeter roll 33 and pressed forming sheet for the papad. The thickness of the sheet can be selected by changing the space between two sheeter rolls
33. The space between two sheeter rolls 33 can be changed with the help of the gear wheel 31. Now thus formed sheet comes on the conveyer 40 of the sheet cutter 4. In this cutter 4 a gear wheel 48 of the machine is connected with the chain 39. On this chain a cutting die 41 is situated, so when the motor 44 starts the gear wheel 48 is rotated and so the chain 39 will also get rotated and thus a cutting die
41 placed on the chain 39 gets rotated. On the rolling surface of cutting die 39 there are rings 42 for the cutting of the sheet are situated. The rings
42 can be of different size for the different size of the papad. So as the sheet of dough passes from the conveyer 40 through this cutting die 41 it is cut by the rings 42 of the cutting die 41. Thus formed papads passes from the conveyer 40 to the dryer 5 and the waste is collected by the waste conveyer 50 in a container placed under the waste conveyer 40 which can be reused. In the dryer 5 the cloth sheet 58 is situated in a frame 56 in the form of belt on the conveyer roller 57. The conveyer rollers
57 are connected with eachother by chain 52. This chain 52 is connected with the wheel 59 of the motor 54. When motor 54 starts, wheel 59 rotates and so the chain 52 connected with it rotates which rotates a conveyer roller 57 so a cloth belt 51 is circulated and so papad comes on the cloth belt gets circulated. This cloth belt 57 is folded forming shelves. In the frame 56 the cloth belt 51 on the outer side is surrounded by an electrical coil 58 for the generation of hot air for papad drying.
When flour, spices, water is placed in the container of the flour kneader and machine is switched on flour will be kneaded by beaters placed inside the container using water needed for the flour kneading and remaining water is thrown out through water outlet. This kneaded flour is placed in the dough sheet extruder for whitening and softening and making a roll of the extruder. This extruder now comes in the dough sheeter. In the dough sheeter there are two dough sheeter rolls. Between these
two rolls the dough extruder comes and pressed by these rolls to form sheet. Thickness of the sheet can be changed by changing space between two rolls with the help of the gear wheel. Thus formed sheet comes on the conveyer of the sheet cutter. On this sheet cutter there is there a dough cutting die which is a roller like thing. On this dough cutting die (roller) there are some rings on the surface. When a sheet of the dough comes under this cutting die or roller rings of this cutting die is pressed on the sheet and cut according to the size of the ring. The size of papad, roti or puri can be changed by changing cutting die with other size of rings. Except this cut part of the sheet remaining extruder is a wastage is collected through waste conveyer in a container placed under waste conveyer. Thus formed puri or roti are removed from this conveyer for its further processing of either frying or baking. For making only puri and roti dryer is detached. Papads come on the dryer for the drying. In the dryer there is cloth belt situated in
such a fashion making shelves inside the frame. The cloth belt is surrounded by electrical coil. Papads come on this cloth belt and move on this cloth shelves for the drying. The electric coil generates heat for the drying of the papads on the cloth belt.
It is very laborious and time and energy consuming work of making a large amount of puri, roti or papad. By using this machine labor can be redused and time energy can be saved. As papads are dried inside the frame of the dryer these can be protected from the pollution of the environment.
