Abstract: The present invention is a marketplace system for making affordable food, travel and stay arrangements for a user in any geographic location, comprising: an application server having a memory; a database server of service providers and service buyers; a service buyer digital device with a user interface or user dashboard, wherein the service buyer registers himself with the marketplace system server which queries the service buyer of his type of travel service requirements through the user interface; a service provider digital device with a user interface or user dashboard, wherein, the service provider registers himself with the marketplace system server and is able to collaborate with the service buyer; and a software module that transmits service buyer’s information to the service provider who provides travel services corresponding to the travel requirements of the service buyer; and a computer processor that is programmed to (i) conduct a search of said database directed to food, travel or stay services that coincide with the food, travel or stay schedule of said user, (ii) weigh available food, travel or stay service options selected from star rating, user review, price and distance, and (iii) store the disclosed location of the user in the memory as well as update the current address in the database of the server.
Claims:WE CLAIM:
1. A marketplace system for making affordable food, travel and stay arrangements for a user in any geographic location, comprising:
an application server (20) having a memory;
a database server (10) of service providers and service buyers;
a service buyer digital device (40) with a user interface or user dashboard, wherein the service buyer registers himself with the marketplace system server which queries the service buyer of his type of travel service requirements through the user interface;
a service provider digital device (40) with a user interface or user dashboard, wherein, the service provider registers himself with the marketplace system server and is able to collaborate with the service buyer;
a software module (50) that transmits service buyer’s information to the service provider who provides travel services corresponding to the travel requirements of the service buyer;
a computer processor that is programmed to (i) conduct a search of said database (10) directed to food, travel or stay services that coincide with the food, travel or stay schedule of said user (30), (ii) weigh available food, travel or stay service options selected from star rating, user review, price and distance, and (iii) store the disclosed location of the user in the memory as well as update the current address in the database of the server (10).
2. The system according to claim 1, wherein the database (10) includes a list of food, travel and stay options.
3. The system according to claim 1, wherein the database (10) further includes a list of service providers and service buyers.
4. The system of claim 1, wherein the database of the users can be dynamically edited / changed in a way to reverse as well as reassign the role of the users.
5. The system according to claim 1, wherein the travel services may be at least one of FTS food, FTS travel or FTS stay services.
6. The system according to claim 1, wherein said digital device is a hand held electronic device (10) or a computational device (30) of said user.
7. The system of claim 1, wherein the memory for access by the digital device (10) being executed by a processor including:
food options subsystem having instructions to select customized cooking activities or restaurants / food hub near a destination site;
a transportation subsystem having instructions to select modes, types, time and number of days required for transportation;
a stay option subsystem having instructions to select a customized staying options in the vicinity of a destination site.
8. The system according to claim 1, wherein the processor further operates responsive to the program instructions to:
locate affordable food service providers in a vicinity of the destination location;
search the database for a food service provider in the vicinity of the destination location (110);
display the determined food service providers; and
place an order with the food service providers (118).
9. The system according to claim 1, wherein the processor further operates responsive to the program instructions to:
display the available modes of transportation on the service buyer’s digital device (306);
receive a selection of one of the available modes of transportation by the service provider (308); and
receiving a selection of the number of days required for the said mode of transport by the service provider.
10. The system according to claim 1, wherein the processor further operates responsive to the program instructions to:
determine whether an overnight stay is required by the service buyer;
display a list of service providers for stay options for selection (208);
receive a selection of one of the stay options by the service buyer (210); and
reserve a room at the selected stay option for a fixed number of days by the service provider (214).
11. A method of matching service providers to corresponding service buyers on the marketplace, comprising the steps of:
providing a server computer (10) having a database of service buyers and a database of service providers;
providing a service buyer digital device (40);
providing a service buyer user interface to the service buyer’s digital device;
querying the service buyer about his service requirements through the user interface;
storing the responses of the service buyer in the buyer’s database;
providing a service provider digital device;
providing a service provider interface to the service provider digital device;
transmitting service buyer’s information to the service providers digital device (40) associated with the service providers that provide the service required;
invoking the payment options on the user interface of the service buyer’s user interface; and
transmitting a notification of the service buyer’s payment to the service provider for finalizing the securement of the services.
12. The method of matching service providers with service buyers as claimed in claim 11, wherein the service buyer can intimate the service provider of special requests.
13. The method of matching service providers with service buyers as claimed in claim 11, wherein the method further comprises the step of:
asking the service buyer to review the service provider’s service and uploading their experience with photographic insets and any other visuals after a preset period of time
, Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION
This invention generally relates to a user system and, more particularly to a system for sufficing a user’s goals of availing easy and affordable food, travel and easy- stay (FTS®) options through an interactive marketplace between users, comprising service providers / owners (cooks, home owners /car or bike owners) and service takers (foodies, travellers and guests). The said system also allows interchangeable provisioning of services as well as of service-roles and operates vide a dynamic database powered by appropriate algorithm and associated technology.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
In conventional user systems, sufficing basic human necessities like food, travel and stay in any geographic location is demanded by customers usually through one-way searches of pre-surveyed databases that contain geographic, scheduling and pricing information of similar products. Such systems permit individuals to make arrangements and to plan for the aforesaid pre-assigned services via interconnected computer networks. These systems enable users to plan, review, locate, schedule and select or execute customized arrangements and activities in association with available displays.
Specific prior arts provided herein, lend testimony to the fact.
US20040148207A1 titled, “Method and system for facilitating the making of travel arrangement for a travel group using web-enabled tools” discusses a method to plan a trip comprises, at a travel service site, establishing a homepage for the trip; contacting, such as by emailing, potential trip participants from the travel service site for informing them of the existence of the trip homepage; and making travel arrangements related to the trip by using tools provided to the potential trip participants at the trip homepage. The travel arrangements may include arranging payment for the trip, and/or arranging accommodations during the trip. The travel arrangements may also include determining which trip participants will share lodging accommodations during the trip.
US7925540B1 titled, “Method and system for an automated trip planner” discusses a method and system to offer a service to a user based on a profile of the user, in response to an identification of an event. In one embodiment, the service includes offering a travel itinerary. In one embodiment, the profile of the user is based on previously obtained data. In one embodiment, the offering is performed automatically in response to the identification of the event and user. In one embodiment, the offering of the itinerary to the user based on the profile of the user comprises accessing data from at least one of a preference database and a contextual content database. The offering of the itinerary may comprise offering at least one of travel times for the user traveling to a selected area, ground transportation for the user arriving at a selected area, and costs for multiple modes of transportation. In one embodiment, the offering of the service is based in part on one of a type of service, a location, and a partner.
WO2001099013A1 titled, “A method and system for planning, confirming and purchasing a customized vacation over a communications network” talks of a method and system by which a customized vacation or other trip can be easily and quickly planned, confirmed and purchased over a communications network such as the Internet utilizing the WWW. The customer can plan a customized vacation or trip by identifying requested travel components such as travel arrangements, lodging accommodations, attractions and/or activities. This information is transmitted to the vendor's server computer system which associates the information with a client identifier. At the customer's request, the vendor can check in real time using an automated system the availability of and prices for each travel component identified by the customer and transmit that information to the customer over the communications network. The customer can continue to plan the vacation by adding, deleting or changing travel components until the customer is satisfied with the price for the available travel components comprising the vacation. The customer can then purchase the vacation from the vendor over the communication network.
Whereas, in all these systems, arrangements for the itineraries are made with provisions for personalized travel arrangements, but none of these deal with provisioning of affordable food, travel and stay options services to anyone both staying near or far away by equilibrating their requirements with provisioning of services. Furthermore, the above systems do not have any provisions for change of roles, i.e., the users of the services may at some point of time become the providers of these services and vice-versa. More so, it is believed that accessibility of the marketplaces in accomplishing such goals through hand-held platforms/mobiles enhances the optimal usages, which the existing inventions fail to anticipate.
In the present invention, all of these capabilities are integrated in a single platform brought forth through a system that enable requisite improvement of a typical user processing systems to provide greater assistance to a typical user as also to the service providers.
OBJECTIVES OF THE INVENTION
Accordingly, it is an object of the invention to provide a dynamic system and methods that allows integration of all associated goals of users’ requirements for food, travel and stays in any geographic location through optimal utilization of spare resources as well as for income generation.
It is another object of the invention to provide a dynamic system that allows service providers / owners (cook/home owners /car or bike owners) to suffice the requirements of the users seeking specific services through an interactive marketplace.
It is yet another object of the invention the said marketplace allows toggling of roles between the users and the service providers at any given time to suffice demand and /or supply in the best possible manner. Moreover, the service providers at any given time have the option of interchanging their services. In order to undertake the task, the said marketplace utilizes appropriate algorithm as well as associated technology for perfect synchronization.
In another aspect of the invention, the said dynamic, interactive and interchangeable market place can be controlled by the users as well as the service providers vide the proprietary app of an android or Ios operating platform.
In yet another aspect of the invention, the said marketplace enables a user to search for and avail cooks of his/her choice in the vicinity of his geographical location in consonance with affordability. Moreover, the marketplace also allows individuals / home-makers / cooks to provide with their cooking services at their spare time to suit the requirements of the users thus broadening the scope of their earnings.
In another aspect of the invention, the said marketplace enables a user to search for and avail home-stays in the vicinity of his/her area of requirement and as per affordability with the room / house-owners who are willing to share spare rooms/ entire house, as the case may be, using the platform and earning through apt utilization of their “stay” resources.
In another aspect of the invention, the platform can be utilized by both the user and the car/bike owners in mutually sufficing their requirements. While the user can use the platform for renting a bike /car as per his/her vehicle requirement and affordability, the owners can optimally utilize his/her vehicle’s spare time in serving the need of the user and earn.
In accordance with these objectives, a system involving web and mobile using android OS or Ios is developed using appropriate algorithm and associated technology. The system allows a potential user / supplier or service provider to share his/her information in the specific application of his/her android or Ios mobile and feed the location of his travel when asked, to get results for food, travel and stay options along with detailed information of their inventory suppliers, at any given time.
In another aspect of the invention, the system incorporates layers of security to prevent breach of information leak amongst competitors besides preventing predatory business advantages. The maintenance of the system security is undertaken through passwords both at administrator as well and at user level. Also there exists appropriate security to guard the records of each entity in the portal. To prevent anonymity of the potential user’s identity, appropriate security to hide his/her current location is implemented. Finally to ensure security of the server, which stores all relevant information associated with the functioning of the system, ssl certified hosting and domain are utilized for appropriate encryption of information.
Yet, in another aspect of the invention, the system integrates with google apis for accurate GPS information from the server.
Another aspect of the invention is the intelligent application of open source advanced technologies in effectuating secured transaction, specified above. Moreover, such technologies enable no proprietary cost thus enabling the cost of the inventive method to be kept at a bare minimum.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention is a marketplace system for making affordable food, travel and stay arrangements for a user in any geographic location, comprising: an application server having a memory; a database server of service providers and service buyers; a service buyer digital device with a user interface or user dashboard, wherein the service buyer registers himself with the marketplace system server which queries the service buyer of his type of travel service requirements through the user interface; a service provider digital device with a user interface or user dashboard, wherein, the service provider registers himself with the marketplace system server and is able to collaborate with the service buyer; and a software module that transmits service buyer’s information to the service provider who provides travel services corresponding to the travel requirements of the service buyer; and a computer processor that is programmed to (i) conduct a search of said database directed to food, travel or stay services that coincide with the food, travel or stay schedule of said user, (ii) weigh available food, travel or stay service options selected from star rating, user review, price and distance, and (iii) store the disclosed location of the user in the memory as well as update the current address in the database of the server.
The present system also includes subsystems of food options, transportation and stay options which are accessed by the digital devices of the users, and wherein the processor executes the instructions of selecting the variables associated with the particular system.
The food options subsystem having variables such as customized cooking activities or restaurants / food hub near a destination site;
The transportation option subsystem having variables such as mode of transport, types, time and number of days required for transportation;
The stay option subsystem, having variables such as, customized staying options in the vicinity of a destination site.
The present invention also provides a method of matching service providers to corresponding service buyers on the marketplace, comprising the steps of: providing a server computer having a database of service buyers and a database of service providers; providing a service buyer digital device; providing a service buyer user interface to the service buyer’s digital device; querying the service buyer about his service requirements through the user interface; storing the responses of the service buyer in the buyer’s database; providing a service provider digital device; providing a service provider interface to the service provider digital device; transmitting service buyer’s information to the service providers digital device associated with the service providers that provide the service required; invoking the payment options on the user interface of the service buyer’s user interface; and transmitting a notification of the service buyer’s payment to the service provider for finalizing the securement of the services.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The following description is merely exemplary in nature and is in no way intended to limit the present disclosure, the disclosed applications or uses. It should be understood that throughout the drawings, corresponding reference numerals indicate like or corresponding parts and features. Also it is to be understood that the phraseology or terminology employed herein is for the purpose of description and not of limitation. As used herein:
“Services” include any act of assistance or benefit to other(s).
“marketplace” includes any tangible or intangible place where the food, travel and stay services are offered for sale or transacted.
“Service request” includes a list of the available providers for the Food, travel and stay services sought for.
“Service buyer” includes an Individual intending to hire service providers of food, travel stay in a specific geographic location using the service marketplace and receiving the services of the service providers.
“Service Provider” are those providing Food, travel and easy stay services on their own, in exchange for payments.
“User” may be a service provider or a service buyer of food, travel and stay options.
Aspects of the present disclosure provide various embodiments of systems and methods that can be used for facilitating a transaction for a delivery of Food, Travel and Stay services by service providers to service buyers. In one exemplary embodiment the inventive marketplace is an integrated and dynamic system which mediates in connecting the service buyers with professional /freelance service providers to transact services against payments. The system of the market place coordinates communications between service buyers and qualified service providers located in any geographical locations. The process of interaction is computer based and includes: a digital network, a database server for dynamic storage of buyers and sellers’ information, an application server to handle interactions of users (both user requests and responses), a software program for searching the databases and coordinating communications between service buyers and service providers vide the application server, a handheld android or Ios platform with a proprietary application installed / a dedicated url connected through a web browsing platform.
The said marketplace applies a dynamic two-way system and method for 3 modules wherein food, travel and stay in any geographic location are availed by service buyers by utilizing local available resources provided by the service providers, who dynamically upload their services and prices to make utilize their assets /expertise maximally. The system thus gives the above service providers the priviledge of hosting their unused assets for utilization against compensation that suits their pockets.
The said marketplace is accessible either vide a proprietary mobile application or through a web based URL and is termed FTS® for transacting affordable and nearest rented houses, food and car / bikes between users who can be service buyers and / or service providers of such services.
The said marketplace is designed as a dual web and mobile application with open-ended software to achieve the desired objective. While the database design is effectuated through MySql, the Api & Web Application is effectuated through Laravel 5.4 with blade template engine. For the design and UI, Twitter bootstrap framework is being utilized whereas, for mobile application, application of cordova and angular 6.0 framework is utilized. For the IDE, Microsoft Visual Studio Code was deployed. Linux is used for the operating platform with web server as the Apache 2 and Lamp Stack used to achieve the desired interface and an appropriate processor to undertake and co-ordinate all the interactions between the software modules the web applications and the user interface.
The software requirement specification (SRS) of the said marketplace begins the translation process that converts the software requirements into the language the developers will use. The SRS draws on the use-cases from the User Requirement Document (URD) and analyzes the situations from a number of perspectives to discover and eliminate inconsistencies, ambiguities, and omissions before development progresses significantly under mistaken assumptions.
The said marketplace also ensures a highly secured transaction environment through application of appropriate passwords both at the administrator and user level in sync with the hardware and software to ensure foolproof security of the records of each entity in the portal. Besides, security layers are present to secure the current locational details of the users in order to do-away with predatory business motives, if any. To ensure security of the server, ssl certified hosting and domain are utilized. Usage of google Apis ensured accuracy of GPS location of a typical user.
The said marketplace functions through a process that gets initiated when a service buyer of Food, Travel and Stay enquires for a specific service from the marketplace by making HTTP request to the Application Server with scripts. The system processor translates the requirement to the Database server for processing the requisite and specific response that is then returned back to the Application server. The Application server processes the scripts, formats and sends back the JSON response to the handheld platform / mobile exhibited through the proprietary application.
The said marketplace with provisions for availing and providing food services, travel services and stay services has requisite algorithm for electronic interaction vide the proprietary mobile application FTS® / dedicated FTS® URL in a web browsing platform.
Referring to Figure 3, an embodiment of the present invention represents the FTS® food section which is accessible vide either FTS® mobile app (proprietary) or through the FTS® URL in a web browsing platform allowing a two-way interaction between a foodie / food service buyer and cook/ food service provider at any geographical location through a login process. On completion of the said login process (104), a typical user or the foodie / food service buyer (106) is directed to enter the address or turning the GPS (108) of the mobile to enable the FTS® app to automatically sync with the user’s current location. The location on getting synced with the system allows the user / foodie to avail from a list of cooks / food service provider (110) in the vicinity of the designated location or map of the user / foodie. The user can select a typical cook and avail of the various food items (112) to be bought from amongst the menus served by him/her. The user / foodie/ food service buyer is thereupon translated to the payment page of the system wherein, a selection and paying from amongst known payment methods are available (114). Prior to payment the interface of the payment page allows the user to enter details of user/foodie’s address as well as phone number (114) and also special request from the chosen menus from the cook/ food service provider. The payment page also allows the option of “Cash on service” (116). On completion of the payment page details the user / foodie is led to the order completion page which allows live tracking with map (118). Moreover, on completion of the ordering, the system allows the cook/food service provider to get real-time notification of the order (115). Moreover, the system allows interactivity with social media wherein the foodie can share his/her experience of specific dishes of a selected cook to a greater audience and subsequent promotioning.
The said FTS® food section also allows the cook / food service provider to log-in like the foodie / food service buyer. Once logged-in (107), the cook / food service provider is transferred to a dashboard page (109) that allows the cook / food service provider to enter and edit information on the deliverable menus (111) as well as associated business information (113). On the basis of the information, if the cook /food service provider receives a confirmation of order from the foodie / food service buyer (115), the notification is immediately flashed in the dynamic system with options to the cook / food service provider to accept or reject the order (117). Either of these options chosen is relayed back to the foodie / food service buyer in real time.
Referring to figure 5 representing another embodiment of the present invention, the said marketplace allows users: both travel service buyer and travel service provider to interact electronically and establish a business relation. The process starts with the login (302) of the users upon which a travel service buyer / traveller (304) is directed to the app page or the specific page of the URL where the user needs to enter the current as well as the pick-up location along with the type of vehicle and days/hours of usage (306). Upon entering the specified details the user /travel service buyer is mediated to the next page in which the choice of vehicle (308) from amongst the list and the availability of the chosen vehicle type in the vicinity of the pick-up address /current location are displayed. Upon selecting a typical vehicle service, the user / travel service buyer is directed to the payment page (310) as like the foodie’s payment page and is asked to either select the appropriate payment methods / cash on service option (312) displayed along with travel contact details including the phone numbers along with special details of the travel service, if any. On successful filing up of the data, the user is directed to “order complete” page (314) that immediately shows live tracking of the order by the user / travel service provider / car or bike owner (311). Like the foodie, the FTS® allows a typical travel service buyer to share his/her experience of the car / bike used in the social media for a large segment of the netizens to enable others to avail /hire those during their travel in the same place.
The said travel service page also allows the travel service providers (303) to upload the details including type of their cars / bikes, features as well as images in their respective dashboards (305) upon login in the same manner as the travel service buyer / user. On successful filling of these data viz. Model type, features and images of the conveyance (307), the travel service providers are asked to enter all their business details (309) as to the hiring charges of their vehicles, CIF details of their vehicle, licenses, etc. On its successful completion and upon being selected of a service by a user/travel service buyer / rider, the notification (311) is conveyed to the vehicle service provider along with the required journey details with pickups and drops off location for the vehicle owner / travel service provider / rider in real time (313) for them to accept the same and execute in due course.
Referring to figure 4 representing another embodiment of the present invention, the marketplace also has an interactive section for guests and house owners to enable transaction of room/house service between them. The process like the above starts with the login process (202) of the users: the guests (204) as well as the room/house owners (203). The guest / stay service buyer on login is directed to a new page of either the proprietary mobile app., i.e., FTS® or the URL asking him/her to enter address as well as consent to detect present location vide manual or GPS locating technique (206). Upon successful identification of the present location, the user guest is prompted, in a new page to choose a house from a list or in a map (208). The FTS® app or the FTS® url page on the basis of the identified location shall thereupon show all the rooms /houses where stay services are available in the vicinity of the identified location of the user guest (210). On selection of a suitable room / house, a typical user guest shall be directed by the system to the payment page to select the available payment options / cash on service rendered along with associated details as the phone number besides special request to the room / house owners, if any (212). The completion of the details shall complete the booking procedure (216) with the system live tracking the service status in a map as also intimating the room / house-owner of the choice /selection in real time (211). The proprietary app, FTS® also allows promotioning of rooms/houses used by a typical guest by sharing their experience through integrating with the social media platforms.
Like the food and travel service providers, the system also has a similar interface for the room / house owners (203) to upload their room / house details on their dashboard opening upon login (202). They also can edit the details of their rooms / houses to be let out (207). The room /house owners are also allowed to upload details of their business information (209) in a specific page of the proprietary mobile app., FTS® or in the url page of FTS®. A guest on selecting a stay service of a typical room / house owner gets a real time notification along with specific request (211), if any, and can either accept / reject the booking (213). In case of acceptance, the order closes, otherwise, it gets cancelled.
The above defined functionalities as well as elements of operation of the said marketplace ensure a properly planned approach to the objectives served with accuracy, reliability kept intact. Moreover, the system of the said marketplace ensures utilization of the elements in a way to ensure non-redundancy of the same and maintaining optimal efficiency to enable immediate retrieval and storage of information. These attributes ensures adequate flexibility in the system to enable its operation logic, very simple.
Accordingly, although embodiments of the present invention have been shown and described, it would be appreciated by those skilled in the art that changes may be made in these embodiments without departing from the principles and spirit of the invention, the scope of which is defined in the claims and their equivalents.
