[00024] In accordance with different implementations of the current disclosure, a system 100 is disassembled into its component pieces and diagrammatically illustrated in FIG. 1 for digital promotion of an article of mass communication. There are several possible configurations of the system 100, each of which may have one or more of the following components: a processor 110, memory 120 that is coupled to the processor 110, and a communication interface 130 that is related to the processor 110. The system 100 may also include computer programme instructions 140 that are stored in the memory 120 and can be executed by the processor 110. These instructions may be designed to perform the following tasks: receive an article of mass communication; analyse the article in order to determine one or more keywords or topics; generate one or more social media posts or advertisements based on the determined keywords or topics; and publish the determined social media posts or advertisements on one or more social media platforms 220 by way of the communication interface 130.
[00025] Under certain configurations, the software will post updates or advertisements on social networking platforms on its own. The investigation of the item may or may not be necessary, depending on the particular implementation. It is likely that the disposition or tone of the content will be mirrored in the postings or advertisements that are made for social media. The system 100 may also include, in some embodiments, a monitoring module that is configured to monitor engagement metrics for the social media posts or advertisements that have been generated, as well as an adjustment module that is configured to adjust the keywords or topics that will be used in future social media posts or advertisements based on the engagement metrics. In addition, the system 100 may also include a storage module that is configured to store the engagement metrics that have been monitored by the monitoring module.
[00026] In accordance with a number of facets of the current disclosure, a detailed block diagram shown in FIG. 2 provides a more in-depth illustration of the system 100 shown in FIG. 1 for digital promotion of an article of mass communication. Facebook 222, Twitter 224, Instagram 226 and LinkedIn 228 are all examples of possible social media sites 220 that might be incorporated in various embodiments.
[00027] FIG. 3 is a flowchart that illustrates a method for digital promotion of an article of mass communication, which discloses the methodology in accordance with some implementations of the current disclosure. In certain implementations, the step 310 of the procedure may at times comprise the step of receiving an article of mass communication as an integral component of the process. The method described at 320 may entail doing an analysis of the article in order to identify one or more subjects or keywords. At step 330, the method could entail the production of one or more social media posts or advertisements based on the keywords or topics that have been identified. At step 340, the method may entail posting the prepared social media posts or advertisements to one or more social media sites. At step 350, the process may entail monitoring engagement metrics for social media postings or advertisements that have been produced.
[00028] In various configurations, the media platforms can take the form of a newspaper, a magazine, a social media platform, or any combination of the mediums listed above. Alternatively, they can take the form of all of these things at once. Posts or advertisements that are created for social media platforms may, in some implementations, present a teaser or a summary of the piece of mass communication that they promote. Posts or advertisements that are automatically made for social media platforms may, in some implementations, contain a quotation or an extract from the piece of mass communication. The process may, in some implementations, include the step of optimising the keywords or topics that are used in the social media posts or advertisements. This stage is based on the engagement data and may be included in specific implementations.
[00029] The disclosure could also contain a processor-based digital promotion system for a piece of mass communication. Memory 120 that is attached to the processor 110 is another component that may be included in embodiments. The communication interface 130 that is linked to the processor 110 is another possible component of embodiments. Various embodiments may also include computer programme instructions that are stored in the memory 120 and executed by the processor 110. These instructions cause the processor 110 to receive an article of mass communication, analyse the article to identify one or more keywords or topics, generate one or more social media posts or advertisements based on the identified keywords or topics, and publish the generated social media posts or advertisements on one or more social media platforms via the communication interface 130
[00030] Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn are some examples of possible social media networks to be included in certain embodiments. A link to the article of mass communication, a teaser, or a synopsis of the article of mass communication may be included in the automatically generated social media posts or adverts in some implementations. In certain implementations, the analysis of the article involves determining the tone or mood of the piece of writing in question. In certain implementations, the tone or attitude of the article is reflected in the social media posts or adverts that are automatically created. The system 100 may, in some implementations, include a monitoring module that is programmed to monitor engagement metrics for the social media posts or advertisements that have been generated, as well as an adjustment module that is programmed to adjust the keywords or topics that will be used in future social media posts or advertisements based on the engagement metrics that have been monitored.
[00031] A method for the digital promotion of an article of mass communication may also be included in some embodiments of the present disclosure. This method may involve the step of receiving the article of mass communication. Analyzing the article to determine one or more subjects or keywords is another one of the embodiments that may be included. In certain embodiments, there may additionally be the generation of one or more social media posts or adverts based on the keywords or subjects that have been discovered.
[00032] Publication of the produced social media posts or advertising on one or more social media platforms is another aspect that may be included in embodiments. In certain embodiments, there is also the possibility of monitoring engagement metrics for advertising or social media postings that have been created. Altering the keywords or subjects that will be utilised in future social media posts or adverts in accordance with the engagement metrics may also fall under the category of embodiments.
[00033] In certain implementations, the media platforms can take the shape of a newspaper, a magazine, a platform for social media, or any combination of these things. In certain implementations, the teaser or summary of the item of mass communication is included in the social media posts or adverts that are created by the system. In certain implementations, the produced social media postings or advertising comprise a quote or extract from the item of mass communication. Based on the engagement data, the process could include, in certain implementations, the step of optimising the keywords or subjects that are utilised in the social media posts or adverts.
[00034] Example embodiments herein have been described above with reference to block diagrams and flowchart illustrations of methods and apparatuses. It will be understood that each block of the block diagrams and flowchart illustrations, and combinations of blocks in the block diagrams and flowchart illustrations, respectively, can be implemented by various means including hardware, software, firmware, and a combination thereof. For example, in one embodiment, each block of the block diagrams and flowchart illustrations, and combinations of blocks in the block diagrams and flowchart illustrations can be implemented by computer program instructions. These computer program instructions may be loaded onto a general purpose computer, special purpose computer, or other programmable data processing apparatus to produce a machine, such that the instructions which execute on the computer or other programmable data processing apparatus create means for implementing the functions specified in the flowchart block or blocks.
