Project Report
Title- Matka Cold
Design Development and Perform Analysis Of natural air condition for room Application with the help of round shape drinking water clay pot.
Depend Upon principal-
The water temperature of water drinking clay pot decreases due to the pores of the clay pot, the ciay pot work as a evaporative cooling pad/ material.
Principal:-
The produce cooling effort inside the room & maintained this room temperature below atmospheric temperature in a hottest day of summer.
Requirement:-
Item Watt requirement Cost
Clay pots X 5 lOOrs. each
Air blower 100W 1000
Submersible pump 160V to 230V 50 Watt 200
Water collection sump 200
Flexible plastic pipe 60
Stand 100
Construction & Working:-
1. 1ft X 1ft 5 drinking water clay pots are placed one above other vertically in inverted fashion.
2. This clay pots have a 6 inch hole at the center through the entire pot from top to bottom surface.
3. Joined between these pot around the 6 inch hole are seal with sealing material (M.seal).
4. Fan is fixed on the center top hole of the clay pot by which air inside the clay pot is blown out by the blower.
5. The whole design is kept on a stand in a water collection sump in a way that bottom hole of the pot is above the water level.
6. Submersible pump is kept in a water collection sump & a plastic pipe is connected to the pump through which water goes upward, And dropped around an inner and outer surface of the clay pot from the small hole of the plastic pipe.
7. Due to the natural cooling property of a clay pot the water temperature in a water collection sump and the air inside the clay pot get cooled.
8. In this process the air temperature inside the clay pots decreases up 26° C. when the outdoor temperature is up to 35° C. to 36° C. in the hottest day of summer.
9. The air cooled can be blown out in any desired direction by the air blower and the desired cooling of room is achieved.
Conclusion:-
The aim of cool air is achieved for home and industrial use. Design:-
1. High speed car A/C blower 100 watt Fan size -10 inch , Air throw -10 feet
2. Fan Rpm approximately 1200 Rpm.
A/c conversion from 230 volt to 12 volt by using 12 volt DC elimeter because same fan is not available in 230 volts.
3. Submersible pump 160 to 230 volt approximately 1 Amp.
4. Sealed copper wire 230 volts supportable.
5. Thickness of clay pot 0.5 cm.
6. Internal volume of one clay pot 1ft.
7. Water collection sump capacity-15 liters
Advantages:-
Advantages of this system over existing water cooler are as follow:
Factor Matka cold - Air Water Cooler An existing cooler
Cost Initial cost is less Moderately high
Manufacturing Do not required specially skilled workers. So, it can be manufacture in any rural area. Manufacture required some what skill workers & Special machinery so it can be manufacture in remote rura! area.
Cooling Higher than small size existing cooler and very close to the big size existing water cooler Comparatively high due to the big size cooling space and high Moisture
Cooling Material Drinking water Clay Product, Easily Available Honeycomb
Water consumption Low, five liters a day Rather High
Power consumption Low High
Maintenance Low High
life Up to 5 years by using filter water Maximum 2 years, due to replacing the cooling pad during or after 2 years
Eco-friendly Domestic material Factory made material
Noise Noiseless Rather high
Appearance Attractive Attractive
Space Max/Min Max/Min
Health consideration Moisture level is very low cool air is health wise better Because of high water contains cool air is a rather unhealthy
Disadvantage:-
1. Cooling Effort is low in high humidity
2. Quiteheavy.
Observation:-
1. If one or two clay pots are used cooling effort is low.
2. You need 1ft X 1ft 10 clay pots get the cool air up to 25°C to 26°C when the outdoor temperature is up to 38°C to 39°C.
3. If use 2ft X 2 ft 6 clay pots cooling effort is higher than 1ft X 1ft 10 clay pots.
4. If used bigger size with bigger thickness the cooling effort is very good.
5. Constant flow of required water affects the quality of cool air it means never use very short or very high flow of water.
6. Additional covering (metal sheet or wooden sheet) by the side of clay pot increases the quality of cool air.
Notes:-
1. You can design the clay pot as per your requirement.
2. This cooler is modified for 6 sqft X 10 sqft room.
3. Air temperature is measure by electronic room thermo and hygro meter
4. Add the ice for instant and high cooling.
5. Use filter water.
6. Placed the cooler in the shadow.
7. Air inlet of the cooler must be outside the room for better performance.
Claims-:
1 -I have claims that when the same required water circulates around the inner and outer surface of the clay pots continuously the air and water inside and outside surface of the clay pots get cooled and inside cool air of the clay pot can blow out by air blower
2-I have claim that with the help of drinking water clay product, one air blower, one submersible pump and a water collection sump you can achieve the cool air with a verity of design.
